I've tried several of their holiday drinks, and every single one has been delicious--flavorful, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. Their pastries are also really good and pair perfectly with a coffee or seasonal drink. The space itself is clean, modern, and has a really trendy, inviting vibe. It's the kind of place you actually want to sit and stay awhile, whether you're catching up with someone or just enjoying some time to yourself. Came in excited and left... with mixed feelings. Let's start with the good Food and drinks came out fairly quickly The food presentation was definitely there. It looked like it was made with love. The egg+cheese sandwich absolutely carried the experience (seriously, give that thing a raise), and the matcha held its own as it was refreshing! Now the not so great... the huevos rancheros were unfortunately very, very, salty.. but I didn't want my money to go to waste so I made myself eat it.. The coffee was bitter, pretty but bitter. I usually like bitter coffee but this one caught me off guard haha The Customer service wasn't great.. The server asked if we needed anything else but was already walking away before we could answer. 10/10 jury duty detour. Imagine landing jury duty...and somehow scoring the PERFECT parking spot. Now imagine being excused after 30 minutes for THREE WHOLE HOURS...on a rainy day. There was absolutely no way I was giving up that parking spot...that's how I found myself walking to Arcade Downtown. Let me start here: I got aggressively caffeinated. Also had one of the best breakfast sandwiches-so good I ate before I taking a picture. Service was solid. This spot is perfect for sitting, thinking, reading and processing the fact civic duty comes around once a year. Thank goodness Arcade Downtown is a quick stroll away. I was hyped by the time I got back to the courtroom that I was almost disappointed they dismissed us same day. Low-key, I was looking forward to reclaiming that corner seat by the food counter. If you like to play the games of caffeine then this is a coffee lovers dream. Dine in service and a chill playlist? Now that's what I mean. After having their coffee I was lit like a bullet and in charge like Steve McQueen. Located inside the downtown area this is one of those gems you can't afford to pass up if you're on a coffee hunt. I ordered an espresso shot to start off with and it definitely got me a little lit. My second drink was the cortado and it was a hit. My third drink was their Draft Latte and half way through I had to quit. I took the rest home because I was in the zone and who knew where I would roam. Overall I have to admit that their coffee is legit. The service is really good and the atmosphere is chili and eye pleasing. Arcade has some of the best coffee in Riverside! It's the cafe I usually recommend to people who visit. The only downside is that they close early as a lot of cafes do, which is unfortunate because I craved their coffee during a lot of late nights studying. Their coffee roast is on the darker side and has a nice flavor for their lattes. I love trying whatever their seasonal latte/syrup is! I also have been liking their matcha lately. I remember I tried it a couple years ago and that was not the case but their quality has definitely gone up. Will definitely be back soon! read more

What a lovely coffee shop! The line was out the door and place was bustling with business. L We were greeted by the hostess, who asked if we'd like to dine in. There was also a separate line for coffee to go orders. It took about 10 minutes for us to be seated. We ordered a Honey cinnamon latte and a draft latte. The draft latte was the right amount of sweetness. The honey cinnamon latte was also just right. Our food came out: we had ordered the huevos rancheros, the French toast, and the Yukon potato wedges. The huevos rancheros had a decent amount of food with a sunny side egg on top. The French toast was unique: it was made with persimmon butter, topped with matcha rice crisps. After our meal, the server let us move to the bar area so we can do some computer work. They didn't allow us to sit in the dining area to just work. We sat there until closing. It was a bit noisy but closer to closing, it was as quiet. There were outlets for our computers and free WiFi upon asking. Overall, it was a nice, social coffee bar with minimalistic decor. Super great coffee shop on the neat downtown Riverside Main St. walking mall. Where some coffee shops are lacking in proper food offerings, Arcade is NOT one of them! They have several freshly made from scratch kitchen dishes that are WAY above the standard fare. My half-sweet iced mocha with almond milk (yeah sorry, I'm THAT guy :-/ ) was perfection, featuring a super smooth roast that I craved all day. Plus the egg & cheese sammie + bacon, and their avocado toast were both extra-ordinarily interesting & delicious. Went in today and had a late breakfast and coffee. The ago hummus was great and the steak & eggs were delicious but my steak was a little undercooked from what I had asked but delicious regardless. Coffee was average nothing crazy but still good. 4/5 stars because the cleanliness of tables. Staff collects dishes but doesn't wipe tables. Service was alright again, nothing that stood out. Had asked for salt and pepper but never received but it wasn't an issue because the food was tasty. I had heard about arcade coffee for a while now but i didn't know they had a location downtown. I stopped by Arcade because i happened to be near by. This location is pretty clean and new. It has a wooden modern look and has plenty of seating inside as well as some tables outside. It seems like it gets busy because it's in the heart of downtown Riverside but luckily service was really quick when i went. So let me tell you about this place --me and my husband will drive 55 miles to get to this place! Their breakfast is worth a drive and yes it's trendy and yes, the ambience is great --and we go for their simple honest breakfast of eggs, bacon and potatoes let me tell you why-- their eggs are fresh fresh was in almost orange in color, soft and fluffy. Their bacon is meaty, crunchy and thick, their potatoes are toasty on the outside and fluffy on the inside, not to mention that they make their own sourdough which is warm and chewy. Their matcha and coffee are great and their servers are amazing especially Victoria and we just love going there. Granted the last time we went there we got French toast which they had a weird take on it and we didn't even attempt to eat it, but that didn't stop us from coming back. Arcade Downtown... you did something fun for me. You gave me a new experience with food and flavors. Arcade has a way with food that gives you DEPTH to their food and the love that goes into cooking. Location is in the riverside downtown walkway, it's a beautiful little walk and we usually go to just pick up fresh ingredients from the farmers market but we went to enjoy Arcade today too. There is plenty of bar top seating and some table seating as well. It's very open and the natural window lighting complements the vibes. The service... today we had AJ as our host, Aj wait I want to thank you for who you are. You care about what you do and how you do it and I don't think people thank good hosts often enough, or even those who still show up despite how chaotic life is. I appreciate you. Evan also came out and helped with our coffees and letting us know one of the ones we wanted was out. However Evan was amazing as suggesting a coffee that would complement the "coffee with a bite" I was looking for with a winter mint cappuccino... and you nailed it sir. All in all there was not one person working here that was not working and supporting one another. Cooking and serving in a kitchen is hard ... catering to people is hard and I just want to complement you on at least how I saw it and felt it in your restaurant. THE FOOD... I don't do this often but let's go dish by dish. The avocado toast: your take on it had some Asian influences, with pickled daikon and crunchy chili were pretty delicious with that coconut avocado that almost came off liked whipped crema with some lime in it... that was just something else and it all worked. The French toast with its crisp, crunch and soft cloud textures was perfect. I would have never thought to add some roasted corn... it fits wonderfully on the dish and that plantain crumb... what are you doing to me haha. The chorizo con papas... I love that you did the link and it was not dry, it needed some heat but it was delicious. The potatoes gratine are also very smart... they hold well, you can cook them in batches and they hold flavor a crisp well. Huevos Rancheros... now that heat I was mentioning in the chorizo con papas was present with this one, not to much but just enough to tickle and I was there for it !! I love the little tostadas at the bottom, usually you get soggy ones and they were perfect. I could actually eat it like a tostada and share it with my family so that added. The flavor of the chorizo was delicious, over easy egg and the pickled onions !!! Yesssirrrr . I actually just ate the pickled onion on its own just to taste the individual flavors of each component and I have yet to get that kind of flavor out of mine. Lastly... Tasajo Steak... now I enjoy cooking steak, I've eaten some really good ones. This was something new for me... the depth of flavor through that mid rare steak was de friggin licious !!! And with the potatoes and cheese sauce it all comes together. But that steak had me slowing down to eat because it was that good. I can cook a good skirt steak... but maybe it was the espresso marinade that tenderized the meat to that depth but you nailed it!!! Now imma try to make one at home just for fun lol. We had asked about a dinner menus and it looks like you don't do dinner anymore. My wife left her info so call us if ya do and we will come running. If anything do a pop up dinner night, have a set of reservations, try out some new recipes and make a little Event out of it. You can set up how many tables you can serve and set a budget to cover them And see if you can get a good return on it all. Theme it and have fun with it. Me and my Wife love to cook, MY wife and mother in law came here and my wife told me she felt like she was foodie cheating on me because part of our love language is trying restaurants that bring a refreshing twist to their food and you did it ... with every plate you served us... you did it and it was an amazing experience. Downtown Riverside is so cute and Arcade Downtown is the best coffee spot! I could tell that Arcade would be a hit just from the line. When I arrived around 11am, there was a long line forming but they moved through it quickly. It's clear this spot is a favorite. To start, the aesthetic is great. They've got a spacious seating area. There were people studying, some chatting, families enjoying lunch and a few college kids playing chess. The ambiance was versatile and conducive to the needs of everyone coming in. I also loved the variety of seating options available and that there were bathrooms. Service was also excellent. They were quick and moved fast to get folks in. I ordered off their holiday seasonal menu. I had a delicious sugar cookie latte made decaf. It was tasty! By mid morning they were already starting to run low on baked goods but I did snag the las blueberry cardamom scone. It was perfect! I enjoyed my treats while getting some work done. Got the Chorizo Con Papas and their Banh Mi and I really liked them both. Though they aren't the traditional variations of the dish, they were made really well. The Chorizo and potatoes were delicious and came with a savory sauce, while the meat on the Banh Mi was crispy and delicious. All of the food was fresh! Also had their winter toasted marshmallow coffee which was awesome as well. Parking was easy to find in the parking structure close by and is free on the weekends. First meal and coffee of 2026 was at Arcade! They released a new menu today and we went to try it out and it was worth the drive. The steak and eggs were to die for and you may be saying, it's just steak and eggs, but theirs is clearly high quality. I asked for medium and it was cooked medium. The eggs were Gordon Ramsay grade and the Yukon potato wedges were perfect, crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. All three were served with a Chipotle espagnole sauce. It's so rich and filling and every bite was perfect no matter what the combination was. We also had an order of the French toast and that was another experience. It's the best French toast and elevated, but still hearty and I didn't want it to end. When I read persimmon butter, toasted rice custard and miso maple on the menu it was all stuff I've never tried before and when I took the first bite I went to another dimension. The French toast was hitting and every bite got better and the little green bits with the crunch factor were not necessary but made it that much more fun to eat. For drinks I stuck to water and ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk. What's crazy is I was still able to taste the actual brightness of the coffee without it being drowned out by syrup and there was no bitterness and no excessive artificial sugar taste. The coffee is always top tier and the way they were able to serve the latte that still showcased the coffee and didn't drown it out was a testament to their precision. Service was excellent. Our server was on top of everything, asked if we needed anything or had any questions to please reach out to her and let us know which menu items they were out of and what were good alternatives and she suggested the French toast and was right! I love the vibe here and think it got better since we started coming here. Inside it's like an Ikea looking dream layout, it feels like a medium sized layout but they also have the bar area so it might be larger than what I think it is. We were seated by the kitchen, right where the servers pick up the orders and the kitchen sounds like the show The Bear. We'd hear, "Hands!" and one of the ladies would let the servers know what each plate was and the order that they're supposed to go out. We also heard the way the servers would ask for condiments and what not from the chef and they were so respectful when they asked and almost ashamed? Like one girl asked the chef if they had a sour cream and if so, could she please get a side but almost in a , "I'm sooo sorry to ask you this..." tone. Even I was wondering, "Who the heck asked for a side of sour cream?! These dishes are amazing as is!" Anyway, I say all that to say, no one is on their level in this area. My sister asked me if there was anything similar to Arcade in Rancho Cucamonga and I said, "NO!" I think the closest thing would be Combine Kitchen, but their staff are brats compared to the staff here and the food here is like a statement piece and it's consistently this quality every single time. What a great spot in downtown riverside. I found this place on yelp as I'm not a local...I hoped for the best and my expectations were meet. I was a little off put by the long line outside but it moved adequately. There was plenty of seating inside and out. For breakfast I had the apple danish and a chicken sausage sandwich. Scrambled Eggs - OMG!! served delicately soft with perfect seasonings. Sourdough Blueberry Muffin - each bite is full of blueberries and it's a great start to a morning without the sugar. This place gets busy during the morning hours for sure, and I recommend ordering online (that's what I do) They do not allow for substitutions, and you can't order sides through the website either... you'll need to go in for that convenience. I love the music here, and the vibe here is local, cozy. I have a theory that today's Coffee cafes' staff believe in the art of #slowliving - keep that in mind as you wait for your order, or when you watch the Counter staff prepare each beverage as they also greet and take orders. My mom, sister and I came to DT Riverside for a belated Mother's Day weekend trip and were looking for a yummy breakfast place. We stumbled upon the Arcade Downtown and had an awesome experience! Our server was so kind and energetic and had great recommendations. We enjoyed the vanilla latte which came with beautiful latte art and the taste of the espresso was so so good. Next was the breakfast plate which comes with a soft scramble, bacon and seasoned potatoes -- everything was incredible! If you like spicy, ask for the habanero salsa on the side. Arcade is my favorite café in Riverside. I have gone to a few of their locations but recently came to this one for the first time and it is so cute and aesthetic. I love the layout and the choice of the furniture. It's very modern, but cozy. For some reason, it is really hard to find a café that makes Matcha actually taste like Matcha and just by the color of the drink you can tell that it was divine . Because the drink was so good I had lower expectations of the food, but it was actually super great too for some reason the sandwich I got was nothing like what I expected to get, but it was delicious. I really have to say, though that the star of that dish were those potatoes and salsa combination. Loved the seasoning and how the salsa tasted homemade. The host stand is to the left of the entrance. Right in front is the coffee bar, wheee drinks are prepared and pastries available like muffins and cookies. I was seated and given the menu. My server was very friendly. The table has glasses and a water jug available for serving. I chose the huevos rancheros, which is only available for Sat + Sun. My drink, I got a matcha. Sever recommended the vanilla syrup and said that everyone raves about the huevos rancheros. My order was served promptly. The huevos rancheros were served in a way I never had before. It came with tostadas, with the egg, beans, meat, and salsa. It was very good! I enjoyed it! My matcha was prepared well, with the vanilla and matcha blending together perfectly. It didn't help that it only came with 2 halves of a naan bread; the sauce to bread ratio was too big, and we were left with a bunch of sauce but nothing to eat it with. The patty melt was your standard patty and bacon on a sourdough bread, and it came with a side of salty potatoes. Service: 5/5. We just moved from Irvine and this is our first day in Riverside and the first place we checked out. Overall, it's amazing. The aesthetic and overall ambiance of a coffee shop is wonderful but with a sit-down restaurant vibe as well. Our waitress, Chloe, was amazing. So nice and helpful and we took her up on her suggestions for food, the Downtown Egg + Cheese and the steak and eggs, and now I know why The Downtown Egg + Cheese is her favorite. It was filling and beyond tastey! The steak and eggs was also great and the steak was cooked perfectly. We also got Lattes with Oat milk and Salted caramel syrup and they were good! The coffee was strong and tasted great but not too overpowering. They apparently do seasonal and weekend specials for food and drinks so excited to come back and try the new items! Food and drinks was a 10 out of 10 and Chloe just made it that much better! Definitely recommend this place to people passing through or people who live in the area. I'm so happy I found this place!! Driving by it's so easy to miss but it's definitely a hidden gem. To start, our waiter Kapono was amazing. He was in such a great mood and very helpful and friendly. The food was really damn good too! I had the only plate that has streak (sorry can't remember the name) and the meat was so fresh, so tender and juicy. I did not expect it to be so good. The good: Great location, in a quiet plaza in the heart of downtown riverside. A hot breakfast menu and fresh meals with friendly service. Less good: The espresso was a bit too bitter for my taste, and the ambiance felt more geared toward those who wanted to stop by for a quick bite, not so much for those who wanted to stay for a while. read more
