Fifteen miles from Reading, there is finally a substantial Chinese vegetarian menu, a whole page of vegan entrees. My sweet friend scoped this place out and sampled a variety of dishes for me before taking me, so cool. There is all the traditional stuff, and then veg duck, chicken, and ham, crafted from tofu or seitan. The seitan duck is particularly tender and good. We loved the scallion pancakes too. My friend special-requested curry sauce for her tofu dish, and it was really tasty; hope this gets onto the regular menu. A nice touch is the bottle of spicy sriracha rooster sauce on the table, yes please, since Zou's can be a bit shy on the spice. The great thing is that there is always something to come back and try. But I ask you, is there a demand for vegan food in Morgantown, and who is buying this food enough to keep it on the menu? I hope it stays. I don't *have* to have mock meats, but they are a nice treat. The building is on the end of an aging strip mall called the Clocktower, but the location atop a hill is nice, and you have a view of the area when you sit in the windows. Pretty chandelier. too. Prices are very affordable, and it is BYOB. Our bill was $52 for 3 appetizers and 4 entrees. Our recommendations would be to turn down the lights a bit at night and add a few candles and some music, and please, something other than news or sports on the tv if it must be on. They don't seem to focus on their dining room as much as their takeout. There wasn't a wine bucket for our white wine; we will bring one next time. In the middle of our meal, the owner's little boy came out festooned in a cute zebra hat and waved his large inflatable sword at us. I wish I had a picture. We considered it our entertainment.

Good, not great. Got the crab rangoon, general tso's and the vegetable lo mein. The crab rangoon was awesome, got 6 big pieces for 3 bucks. General tso's was 10 bucks but had a big portion. Chicken was decent but not amazing. Semi chewy. Lo mein was decent too. Noodles didnt have a lot of seasoning but were ok. 7 bucks for a big portion. Overall id give it a 6.5/10. Might go here again, but there was definitely hits and misses.

My husband and I have been long time customers of Zous Garden. After the treatment I received today, we are no longer customers. 'Nuff Said!

Owners seem nice. Food is average to below average. This is the better place to get Chinese in Morgantown, though.

Clair's ended up being my absolute favorite, to the point that after I made my round sampling what everyone had to offer, I made my way back to Clair's tent three more times. They got my vote, and apparently enough other votes to win people's choice in the tournament. Soon thereafter, George and I took my wife to Clair's restaurant. We've now gone back so many times that we are practically on a first name basis with the servers. I have absolutely loved almost everything I've had from there. Even the stuff I wasn't as fond of was still good. My only major gripe is that a lot of the booths are not equipped to handle someone of my girth, and it's often a tight squeeze to get into them. I can understand though, they need to make them that small to maximize the space and fit in as many people in as they can, because the lines can sometimes go out the door. Still, I'm super happy we discovered this restaurant, and it's an absolute asset to the community. I hope they will be in the chili cook-off next year so I can see them win again.

The other servers also kept staring at us which was really weird... The booths were ripped up and in desperate need of replacement and the bathroom was dirty. Yuck. Now on to the food ... my daughter enjoyed her egg combo. I had eggs as well, and they were fine, but the breakfast potatoes were disgusting. My food was also cold. My husband and his friend thought their food was ok. I would not return. Prices are good though.

The owner came out and chatted with me while my order was being prepared; very welcoming. He was really interested in local people and what I was looking for in a pizza restaurant. They are planning to start delivery within 6 miles. Once I was home I was very satisfied with my order. The Veggie Stromboli was perfect; you could taste the dough was made fresh. Additionally I had two salads; I mixed them together and all I can yum. Well worth driving up in the awkward driveway/parking lot.

But now that they have changed owners everything is a little messy ... and while I try to give grace some of it is just poor management. The guy taking orders at counter is new and "training" but fully operating by himself ... so keep that in mind. But I came in lunch time a little busy so I ordered and sat down. Ordered a plain slice and pepperoni stick. 3 people who ordered after me were served with food and eating. I'm still waiting and have been approached 3 times to ask what my order was. Now 30 minutes later I finally got my food but the pepperoni stick is not enjoyable because it's not fully cooked. Very upsetting just not the same atmosphere anymore.
