Review for ZT Computers Customer Service. When searching for my computer information and reading reviews I had to remind myself that most people are quick to respond if something goes wrong but not as many people will respond when things go right. I've been guilty of that as well. Trying to correct that here hope to help someone else. I responded with a review regarding my personal experience with my ZT Computer I've owned for a couple of years now. Trouble free. Now I'm following up with my experience with their customer service/Tech Support. After reading some of the reviews I wonder frankly when they are calling. Every time I've called, I've not been on hold long and always met with knowledgeable polite, professional support. Not matter the hour as I work through the night often. Here's one example of one experience, and this one inspired me to find a place to write a review to hopefully help others. I called today and spoke to a gentleman named Joel. I'd been on the phone with internet provider and internet security back and forth for a long time. Hours. They kept telling me it was probably an issue with my computer maybe the hardware network card. I know things can go wrong with hardware but have to be convinced it's my computer before exhausting all other options. Every time I've discovered it's not my computer. This time was no exception. The ZT tech support gentleman, Joel was very polite, professional and knowledgeable. He walked me through everything and most importantly he listened. The issue was resolved although I'm embarrassed (ad yet happy) to say it was not my hardware. They all have been so far. My dealings have been with drivers, internet connections and installations. I've had other computers that the support is for a year or less. Some even expect you to pay by the hour for their assistance. ZT Computers backs up their product by not expecting you to have to pay for questions. Because of the level of quality with the computer and service with tech support, specifically this incident it validates my reviews of ZT computers. I always refer people to ZT computers because I've been so happy with mine. This tech support person just confirmed that they do what they say they will. In today's world that is so important. I bought one ZT desktop two years ago for myself and have been thrilled by it. I bought a new one nearly a year ago and gave my old one to my wife who is thrilled to have my old very capable computer. I have had virtually no problems with either computer until this weekend when my wife did something to her computer which caused the speakers no longer to work. I did everything I could to make them work (checking cables, using different output ports, using a different set of speakers, checking that volume was all the way up, that the speakers had power, etc.), all to no avail. I then called ZT systems 800 number, pressed 1 for tech support and within seconds was connected to a very friendly expert who helped me run through a variety of other things, including updating the speaker driver. Within minutes, the system had glorious sound again. I asked the tech support person if I could provide feedback to ZT on his help and he provided this url. I was shocked to see the negative reviews. After too many years of useless Dell service, I finally got connected with a ZT desktop from Costco. The Life Time free tech support is what sold me. I love my computer so much that my husband, two working children, sister and 3 friends have also bought ZT's and there are NO complaints. The best part is their tech support. As far as I know, no one has ever waited for more than 4 minutes for a tech to answer our calls. These techs are extremely knowledgeable..... read as "no long waits while they have to read a book." They jump right in and understand the problem even before you finish explaining it to them. They speak slowly and clearly and do not leave out any steps, which is very important when dealing with someone like me who is not as computer literate as she should be. They are very quick when coming up with the right solution and very polite and patient when guiding you to this solution. Thank you ZT Techs. I had an issue with the wireless keyboard and mouse becoming inactive after trying to "wake up" the computer from a sleep mode. I called ZT support, not knowing if this was a hardware or software issue. The fellow I spoke with, Alfred, was calm and patient in saying that we would first try to see if it was a hardware problem. He led me through various steps to reset the BIOS. I tried after that to see if the computer, upon wakening, would recognize the keyboard and mouse, and it did...so we'll see in the future if this was the solution to the problem. It may happen again, and I was told that if it did, to document it, call ZT, and we'd try another way to solve the problem. Bought a ZT Affinity 870 Desktop PC with Intel Core i7-3770 Processor, 16GB Memory, 23" Monitor, 2TB Hard Drive and Windows 7 Home Premium 4 years ago 06/2012.. Machine runs 24/7, easy to upgrade, Replaced 400 watt PS w/850 watt due to adding 3 additional 2GB HDDs. Never had to contact CS and rather pointless to post review as it appears ZT Systems no longer builds home/business consumer boxes thus not bothered by a myriad of ignorant consumer problems. Guess I shall be looking elsewhere when this box needs replacing. None the less I have had little to no problems with my machine as Quality components were used in original build. P.S. machine didn't have all the bloatware found in name brands like HP. read more

I guess it is like any other company out there for some the customer service is going to suck and for others it is going to be great. Very few companies out there that will give great customer service 100% of the time. I have only had to call them once and had a great experience. Also I have had no real problems out of the computer and with the specs it had (almost 2 years old now but still good specs on it) it would have cost over $1000 being any of the major name brands while the ZT cost me about $500. My dad uses one for the business he runs, have a couple of friends with them, my mom and step dad have one. None of them has ever encountered a problem with their computers either. read more

I bought my ZT Core i5-2320 Desktop online from Costco in Sept of 2011 and this is the first time I've had to use their "Lifetime Toll Free Technical Support". As I dialed the number I expected to be on hold for hours and then not get my problem solved. WRONG!! My call was answered after the first ring - something that has NEVER happened with ANY tech support I've contacted previously. The tech person walked me through a reset of the system that got me back online and operating withing 15 minutes. It's -22F here in Minneapolis MN today but I could care less - THANK YOU ZT Tech Support - you've made my day! read more

My wife and I each have ZT desktops, hers is 1.5 yrs old and mine just over a year. Fast, reliable and affordable. I have used Customer Support twice, one for a password issue and the other for a corrupt LAN driver (today). Both times the support techs were pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and efficient, solving both problems with patience and expertise. I've had my ZT desktop for a few years. When it wouldn't start for me today I noticed the sticker for lifetime support. I spoke with Alfred who was very patient with me and walked me through getting my computer to start. He even explained that this type of problem usually occurs with power outages which we had a few days ago and our battery back-up stopped working. I just wanted to tell people how it is for a american guy to work at ZT systems. I have been working there for about a month let me tell you the people that work there are horrible people most are Spanish and do not understand English. They are rude and only talk Spanish Even the ones that do understand English will only talk Spanish. So i guess not a good place for any American person to work. read more

Spoke with John in tech support about a Windows operating system problem I was having. Told him the error code. He knew right away what it was. Told me how to remedy the problem in a quickly. Hey this guy is terrific. He's awesome & very polite, well mannered, respectful while being wonderfully efficient. Kudos John. Give this guy a raise and his own department! read more

I got amazing assistance from a man named Osel. My computer stopped working because it deleted a Windows file during an accidental shutdown. Osel guided me through the process and now the computer works again. I got my computer at costco several years ago with lifetime tech support, and ZT has been fantastic every time I've called them. read more

Both of my ZT Systems computers are past their warranty period. However, both come with lifetime technical support. I've used it several times and found it very helpful. Today [Sunday morning] I had to re-install a new hard drive. They helped me load Windows 7, then the drivers disk. Very helpful, very polite, very knowledgeable. read more

I've had to use ZT Support twice since I bought this computer and both times I was having sign-on issues with my password, an operating system problem. I have been very pleased with their support. I bought a great computer from Costco called ZT. It had everything I needed at a great price. I decided to add an internal hard drive for backup use but the drive was not seen.
