I have a MacBook Air that needs a new battery. I called Best Buy and, with great difficulty, managed to bypass their awful AI answering system and actually get a human on the phone. I was told to make an appointment with Geek Squad to drop off my laptop, and they would replace the battery for between $99 - $129. They told me I would get a confirmation email, which I never received. (The person on the phone never mentioned that Best Buy doesn't sell batteries.) I traveled to the nearest Best Buy, and when I checked in, I was told that they don't sell batteries and I would have to purchase one elsewhere, which BB would install for $40. A total waste of my time due to truly terrible customer service. read more

I haven't stepped foot in a Best Buy in about 15 years. How things have changed is incredible. My experience here was nothing short of positive. I was in the market for a new laptop, and it just so happened that Best Buy was running a major sale on them. First thing I noticed: the store is spacious, well-stocked, and very well-kept. We were greeted immediately upon walking in, and helpful staff pointed us toward what we were looking for. Once we got to the laptop department, I was greeted again and offered assistance. The staff took the time to explain each device, helped me compare and contrast them, and took all the time necessary to make sure I was getting what I needed. The staff was certainly knowledgeable. They asked several questions regarding my needs to be certain my purchase would be appropriate. To top it all off, I got a great deal given the sale that was going on. Spent $500 on a PS5 and tried to purchase Call of Duty 6 and they refused to honor any price match I showed them from 3 different retailers on their list, Amazon, Walmart, and GameStop. If you're going to fine print people to death stop false advertising PRICE MATCH and just say you don't honor it instead of wasting your customers time. Online retailers with better prices, efficiency, and shopping experiences will be putting retail chains like this with bad customer service out of business soon... "Best Buy" one of my favorite places to be in: It was pretty crowded when I first got there, I liked how most of the employees were helping customers in purchasing laptops, they had some pretty good deals, I also like the gaming section as well, everything is organized and I just like the whole layout of the store in general, even the flooring is nice, I highly recommend it for all the tech nerds like me, cause you are always learning about something... read more

This new Best Buy, at Mill Creek, Harmon Meadow, may be hard to find, it's not like you can see it on the highways like before from route 3 or the NJ Turnpike. But it's a good size store and has major Appliances, a kitchen design section and monster-size TVs on display, and other electronics besides computers. The staff welcomes you and is eager to help but backs off if you tell them you just looking. read more

We came here looking for a mount for a computer monitor. It turned out that they do not sell these. This was surprising as they of course sell computers and also TV mounts, so you'd expect them to have this product as well. But our bad for not calling ahead to check, I guess. Overall, this store is quite nice. It's spacious with lots of interactive, "try before you buy" opportunities. They have hand sanitizer available throughout the store for cleanliness. In addition to the hands-on displays for phones, laptops, etc, they have a Hydrow rowing machine that you can test out as well as a Meta Quest virtual reality experience. They have a wide selection in the TV department. For sound systems, they have enclosed rooms that you can step into to trial the equipment. We went into one such room and were fiddling with the settings on a tablet to test out the speaker system options. An employee let us know that the tablet was meant for employees only, but she was very nice and friendly about it. I didn't know Best Buy sold kitchen appliances, but they had several aisles devoted to that department as well. Didn't get what we came for but in the end, it was still nice to browse around the store. read more

This store must improve their customer service skills. The manager a black haired, short man, does not have effective people skills. My girlfriend and I purchased a nice blender with a two year warranty. We tried to return the blender because it was water logged after a month. The little manager did not give us a deal on the new two year warranty. He said, "The warranty price is tied to the current price and it went up." I responded by walking out and replying, "We will wait for the product to be destroyed." It is important to note that I have purchased a stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and washer/dryer at Best Buy. This little manager did not even bother to look up my customer history and I did not feel valued as a customer. He was not willing to look at the fact that the blender was malfunctioning within a month. read more

Came here for an iPhone repair booked via Apple support. My iPhone keeps rebooting every 3 minutes, after leaving it charged over night. Explained to him under the analytic log it showed thermalmonitord error and multiple panic logs. I did update the software via recovery mode and soft factory reset and I refuse to do a hard reset because I have data not backed up. Guy Didn't even check the phone and just insisted on backing up the phone and doing a hard reset. Explained to him because of the 3 minutes boot loop that it's not possible, but he still insisted anyway. He didn't do anything else and told me to go home and back up the phone while in recovery mode which is not possible. Just go book your appointment at an actual apple store for any apple concerns, I don't know why this place is even a certified apple service center.. read more

I have been a long time customer of this location as I am a cardholder and a loyal customer of Best Buy for many years. I purchased a Samsung television on Saturday, April 6. I brought the television home and attempted to set it up when I realized it would not turn on. I was unable to bring it back to the store until Tuesday, April 9 because I needed to wait for my wife to be off to assist me in bringing the TV back to the Secaucus Best Buy, where I wanted to simply exchange it. Upon arriving to the store I went to customer service and explained the situation where I was told I would be able to exchange it. During the process of exchange, I was greeted by Christian Aviles, who portrayed himself as the general manager of the store. Christian told me that he would not accept my exchange as he stated the TV had "looked like" it was damaged. I then asked Christian what he meant by "looked like". Christian said he noticed damage on the TV and he would not accept my exchange. I proceeded to tell Christian that the policy of Best Buy allows me to exchange an item and that I did not break the TV and that it was damaged upon my purchase. Christian disagreed with me. I asked if he was the only store manager of the Secaucus location Christian answered yes. I then asked Christian who his supervisor was so I could bring this issue and matter to their attention. Christian refused to provide me any supervisor above him and noted I can only call the customer service number at 1888 Best Buy. I asked Christian again to provide me with his district or regional supervisor because I was not happy with the service I was provided and he again refused, I then went outside to my vehicle where my wife was seated inside and I called the customer service number that Christian provided me. Why line the phone with the customer service number Christian had two of his employees bring the TV out to my car. The employees then asked me what to do with the TV and I told them that I am attempting to exchange the TV and I don't want the TV back because it is broken. The employees left the TV in front of my car and mockingly told me "have a nice day' I was so embarrassed, because I was made to feel like a fool by the employees, and they were mocking me, and I asked the one employee for his name who he told me his name was Richie, but did not provide his last name and he was the swap manager. I have photos of where they left the TV if you need me to provide them. Customer service then told me that Best Buy policy is I can return or exchange the TV as long as it is within the timeframe. They told me unfortunately they could not help me, and that the store was the only one that could assist me in this matter. I proceeded to tell them that I was treated so poorly in the store and treated like a criminal and I felt embarrassed because the way they made me feel around other customers it was it was a very displeasing and upsetting experience. I then went back into the store and asked Christian one more time to please assist me in this matter as I just want an exchange and I've been a long time customer and I've been a loyal customer to Best Buy and specifically to that location and I simply just wanted an exchange because I wanted the TV and I wanted one that was not dysfunctional. Christian advised that he still would not accept my exchange or return, and he was very rude and very unpleasant to me, and made me feel like I was a nobody. This was such an upsetting and disturbing experience that I thought about it the entire day, and it made me upset the entire day to be treated like that especially when I've been such a good customer and I loved shopping at that Best Buy location. I am also upset to later found out that Christian lied to me because I was then informed that there is another manager above Christian or on the same level as him by the name of Brian. Christian did not provide me that information and he did not provide me information for any other supervisor above him. When I first entered the store and explained my situation to the customer service representative, I was told that the exchange would go on without a problem and that I would be able to walk out with a new and functional TV which was my original plan when I originally purchased the TV on Saturday, April 6. All of a sudden, I don't know where the change occurred that they decided that I was no longer eligible for the exchange based off of their theory that the TV was damaged on my part. Christian even went as far to say that there was no dent on the box of the TV. He did not feel as if the TV was damaged prior to it being brought home by me on April 6. I then told Christian that the TV could've been damaged at any point prior to me bringing it home and that all I knew was that when I plugged it in, it did not work. read more

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the only kind employee. I wasn't offered service and had to look for it to only be shoved away. I asked this dominican girl and she uttered under her breath "this f**king b**ch" when i just asked politely. I've never encountered someone so rude, but i just remained shut since I was waiting on an item. and to think that these people should have an understanding of decent customer service. highly recommend if you're looking to waste time. this bestbuy should definitely choose carefully to who they're adding to their staff because this is what we get. read more

Shout out to SOFIA in the laptop/computer department! Picking a good and affordable laptop can be stressful. Especially when I really don't know much about computers. I initially bought a laptop but ended up returning it since a certain gaming app was not working. This laptop was a gift to my daughter but it was disappointing to learn that certain gaming apps were not functioning. When I returned the laptop, I met with Sofia and explained my situation. She kindly explained the differences in laptops and suggested a laptop that would work for specific gaming apps. The laptop she suggested was cheaper than the one I had initially bought. Thank you for helping me save as well!! She then assisted and explained the setup for the new laptop. I was very pleased with her explanation.
