The owners have never worked in a restaurant. Remember that when you're eating this amazing food off paper plates! Busy place, but worth it.

Pepperoni pizza, it was some of the best pizza I've ever had

Food was amazing, the people were amazing as well. We will definitely go back when we're in the area again. Everything was homemade and tasted like it.

    Pepperoni Pizza

This place definitely did not disappoint! We stopped in for a couple pies and learned that the owners are actually in the kitchen working everyday making the food themselves! Fresh pizzas! I got pepperoni and my wife got the bacon and mushroom and let me tell you, totally coming back especially since we bought property nearby! Yay!

Outstanding food. I love the sourdough crust and delicious sauce. I usually build my own. Excellent service. I love that they know your name.

Yummy pizza and spaghetti & meatballs (enough for 3 meals)

Best place to eat around here! I fell in love with the food and the friendly staff that are like family. We even enjoyed the company of strangers in the room. There is no doubt we will be back when we come back to Hartsel. It's a busy place but so worth the wait until the weekend! I almost forgot! Save room for dessert or take it home. The dark chocolate salted tart.... what can I say, is nothing short of heavenly!

The Rosatti pizza! - beets, arugula goat cheese and red onion! Super tasty!

Amazing pizza! Crust was incredible and numerous options for tasty toppings. Great service! Busy little restaurant and well worth it to go visit!

Really good pizza's, subs, and pasta. The owners are super friendly and the waitress was very attentive and helpful. Will be going back again!

This place is amazing!!!! Staff was super nice and friendly, very welcoming town! The restaurant was super cool and was super cool decorated. Loved the patio! The food was delicious. We ordered the "wise guy" pizza, a meatball hoagie and pasta salad. Sooo delicious and fresh! And the desserts... wow!!! Super super fresh and amazing. Recommend the cannolis and cheesecake. Recommend this place 100%!

If I can walk away without my anxiety being triggered or my allergies triggered, we have found a gem to return to. Driving from Colorado Springs through Salida, Co to the Sand Dunes, we decided to stop for a later lunch. We stopped by The Boathouse and was rather loud along with no four top outside. The host referred us to Pizza Rio and said they had outdoor seating and it's usually quieter. Heading up the stairs, customers coming down said it's worth it. The host showed us the tables outside and indeed was very quiet and had a beautiful view of the river. When we sat down, the heaters were still on but the server turned them off for us and opened the shade screen. My husband got the Greek salad with a slice of pepperoni pizza. My son got the vodka penne pasta, my mom got the meatball grinder and I got the Greek salad with arugula and spinach and the spaghetti and meatballs. Everything on the menu said it was made in house including the dressings. And WOW!!!! The flavor these dishes had was top notch Italian and dishes were decent/big sized. Cost wasn't as high as we thought, and the server was extremely accommodating. I would recommend this place to anyone passing through. Great job to the cooks, amazing!!! Great service by Connor L, we appreciate all you did with my accommodations and that you were attentive even though you were the only server. We did not feel forgotten about

It began with check-in... the host appeared distressed and mumbled something about making sure her large party gets seated (not us) without properly acknowledging us. She left to go check on something and we kept waiting. When she came back, she was exasperated, but friendly and had us sat promptly. I wondered to my family if perhaps they were understaffed that night. Maybe? But there did seem to be plenty of staff running around and it seemed to be at 65% capacity. But when I say they were running, I mean RUNNING. It was almost comical and out of an SNL skit -- I kept asking my family facetiously what they were running FROM? But ironically, the service was glacial as many reviewers have pointed out. Appetizers and drinks went smoothly enough. The food was disappointing from the start... fried ravioli was chewy, bruschetta was soggy, and the caprese salad was nothing special. The standout of the entire night was the fried brussel sprouts, surprisingly tasty. Credit where credit is due!!! The main course is where things went further south. Penne a la vodka lacked the distinctive tangy flavor, rigatoni had a really one noted and heavy peppery kick, and the bolognese was unremarkable. The bus boy then only partially cleared our tables, took the plates but left the sauce covered silverware (never to be cleared, which was gross). We waited probably 15 minutes for server to return to get the check.. during which the food runner serving the table next to us dropped a family sized bowl of pasta onto the floor and my cream colored sneakers. It happens, no shade to the bus boy, but can't help but draw parallels to how fast the servers seemed to be rushing to and from the tables as if they were being chased...My family was in good spirits and laughing about all of this, by the way. Finally, our server returns, and insisted that we have an "on the house" dessert for the birthday girl (my sister was celebrating her 30th and engagement). We agreed, but decided we needed a second to look. She was gone for probably another 10 minutes, we ordered, and asked for the check. Another 10 or so minutes go by. The desserts arrive without any silverware. The food runner brings some, they're dirty. So the waitress ultimately bring some over that were clean enough. My fudge cake was yummy (again, being fair here), but all the others were not. We were most disappointed that the tiramisu, advertised as being made daily in house, lacked coffee flavor and coloring, and much too heavy on the cream. After finishing dessert we waited and waited. I decided to flag down the host as she weaved through the other servers like a 6 lane highway in Atlanta . "Excuse me, miss," I said, to which she responded by holding up a finger at me and saying something about her other table. "Oh," I exclaimed in surprise. She later looped back eventually and apologized, taking the check from us. Our initial server returns for the check a few minutes later, and I informed her that I'd given the check to the host/manager (?). \ Once she returned with the check, she said she "heard" about what happened and was so sorry. I jokingly said, "which part?" Which in hindsight I feel bad about. Sorry to that waitress. The restaurant ultimately comped 3 of the desserts, which was nice. Overall, the ambiance was frenetic, the food bad/mediocre, and the service slow. That said, my family got a great laugh out of the whole thing, and thus I give 2 stars instead of 1.

There has never been a lot of local options for food in this very rural town, so I was pretty excited to have a pizza place only 10 miles away (most of us around here live quite a ways from town). $20 is a lot for a medium sized pizza but hey it's a long ways to another one so you take what you can get. The first visit was with my brother who was visiting from out of town, my pizza was burnt, but his was ok, so I figured it was a fluke. Next pizza was soggy from the canned tomatoes they used since apparently they were out of sliced tomatoes. I also got a $5 salad that turned out to be a small handful of spinach with canned artichoke hearts, canned banana peppers and canned mushrooms. Seriously. Talked to some friends of a friend and they said I was just unlucky and pizza is not usually that bad. Gave it a third shot, got home, pizza ridiculously burnt and basically inedible. Called to let them know my experiences as by that time I was pretty frustrated. No apology, but offered another pizza, which I declined as it would have been a 20 mile round trip. You would think being a bit frustrated after three bad pizzas in a row would be understandable. Nope. I actually decided to give them another shot, foolish me, and stopped in again. girl who had helped me the last time and answered my call to complain basically refused me service because I was rude to her after the third failed pizza. And their wings even when fresh are terrible. The last pizza dude threw a few in for free, probably because they were day old, they definitely were not fresh. It's a pretty small community here and some of us have been around a long time and have a lot of friends. It's not a very good business model to treat customers with a legitimate complaint like you are doing them the favor by serving them poorly prepared and poorly cooked food then act like you have no reason to be upset after spending around $100 at their establishment in two weeks and getting probably the worst pizza I've ever had. Good luck with that. Edit: My demeanor on the phone with your employee was certainly understandable when I got home to my third overpriced and ruined pizza in a row. I asked for the owner when I called and you elected to let your employee handle the call. Additionally, I know you saw the burnt pizza because you looked in it to give me the "free" leftover wings. Maybe that's why you didn't want to take the call? I neglected to mention the wonderful atmosphere of incoherent drunks and dogs blocking the doorway (literally sitting on the ground in the doorway) to my earlier comments. Don't worry, I won't be setting foot on "your" property.
