When you shop for skates you will regret it if you just take your shoe size and purchase the skate of matching size. Or (worst of all) purchase online based on price. You should be fitted by someone experienced. They will look at your foot, your ankles, how often you skate and recommend a brand, fit and boot stiffness that is appropriate for your needs. At no point should bolts randomly fling off your bike while you going down the Brooklyn bridge going 24mph. I'm a high school student and I had to pay for my bike with my own money. I've been working since 10th grade to help my mom because she is a single parent so for me the loss of about 5k including repairs leave me without transportation as I can not afford to repair it at this point. I've spent 3.7k on a bike, this isn't including the repairs i had to pay over the span of a year which amount to at least 1.4k+ after random bolts detaching and motor failing, and as soon as the warranty expired my bike had a random electrical issue where the bike wouldn't accelerate. From the owner Pete: OK, where are you going? (Direct email sent from owner) 1- Last Mile NYC replaces all of the electronics on your bike. The cost of the parts and labor is $2910.54 2- Send your bike back to Super73. They will do their own diagnosis, and determine the issues and fix the problems. Unfortunately your bike is not under warranty, the cost of packing up and freighting your bike to and from Super73 will be around $1200. Plus their diagnostic fee, parts and labor. She was fitted for a size 1 ice skate and I was hesitant because I had just sized up her sneakers to 2s. I was assured there was plenty of room and deferred to them on it. Of course a month later she was complaining about them being too small. We came back to Peck's and they exchanged them for 2s and only subtracted $20 from the refund for her having worn them for a month. They had some scuffs and the insoles showed her feet print but they were otherwise in pristine condition. It was a better deal than I hoped for and I sincerely appreciate the accommodation of her growing feet. It goes to show how important customer service is because we will for sure be customers for life now (she really loves skating so it seems like we will stick with it, ha see what I did there?).
