The owner, his daughter and the young women who work here were so friendly and helpful in finding clothes that appealed to my 13 year old. I also appreciated that they kept in mind what i would think was appropriate for her since we don't always agree on this. :) I thought the prices were very fair, although she did snag a (super cute) boys lie hoodie that was on the pricier side. Some other brands they carry that she gravitated towards were free people and spill the tea tanks. I even tried on a super stretchy and comfortable pair of jeans (also very well priced), but just wasn't in the mood to buy jeans on a hot August day. I'm enjoying wearing skirts/dresses while the weather allows for it, but may go back in the fall. While the clothes are adorable, the friendly owners and staff are what set this apart from some other boutiques we've shopped in. And that alone will bring us back soon!

If you've heard of Yeezy shoes, this is a high-end shoe emporium where you go to get high-end shoes at a discount. You'll find top-of-the-line Jordans, and they even have authentic signed Bulls jerseys and t-shirt vending machines, high-end bags, and a few collector's items like the Back To The Future shoes in a case. There is a shoe culture that only my kiddos understand and can relate to. It's part of pop culture, and though I can't relate to it, I do find it absolutely fascinating. Young kids are spending a fortune on their feet! It's fashion for your feet, and whoever started this trend did an amazing job of marketing and promoting it. I didn't see the Final Sale stamp because the woman stapled my credit card receipt on top so the red writing wasn't visible. I bought 2 dresses and a necklace for $424.43. The bottom of the receipt says returns within 14 days of purchase in original, unworn condition, with tags and receipt. I didn't buy the items to return them and I am insulted that a red Final Sale is stamped on my receipt. That is sneaky, tacky, and downright unkind. I called the number on the receipt to tell the young lady who sold the items to me and the number is disconnected. What kind of store is this? The lady was polite, seemed very nice. It's however not nice to put a FINAL SALE on the receipt without telling me and hiding it by stapling the credit card receipt over the red writing.

I can still remember the tall sexy black suede boots I got there in 1998. For a long time this Wilmette location (& I'm assuming Gold Coast too) has seemed more focused on middle-aged and "mature" styles, I've been telling them for a few years now that they need to bring in hipper supportive shoes - and they are finally doing it! Yay! I've been finding more and more shoes I actually like. The last pair I got there I actually really really love. They also seem to be diversifying their price point more, which is helpful because most people don't want to buy a $400 pair of shoes. And I'm starting to find some more and more good options there that are under $150. This location has easy parking & there are some other great stores in the Plaza Del Lago.

The store is always well staffed and the selection is color coordinated and organized. If you are unable to locate your size, the saleswomen are great about trying to locate them for you. I deducted a star because of a few hiccups with shipped items. On one occasion, the wrong color jacket was sent. In the second instance, the address was keyed in incorrectly resulting in a one month delay. That said, Suzette F. (A manager) refunded the shipping cost and adjusted the item to allow for the current markdown which was 30% less. All in all, it is a great place to shop and is closer than the Aurora location.
