I'm angry. Returned a pair of shoes, asked if they carried 1/2 size larger, was told no. I left the store, realized I left my my high end prescription sunglasses for driving on the counter. One may not have realized they were prescription and picked them up for the brand, regardless, this all happened in a matter of maybe 15 to 30 minutes. I know they have a lot going on but seriously, we are talking $500. plus No empathy, no concern, no care, took my number and sent me on my way. When I called later, I asked for a manager to check the "security" footage, I had the exact timing from my receipt. Again, some huffing and puffing a snide side comment "we don't usually check video for lost sunglasses" but Anthony assured me I would be contacted later that day, after a review of the "security" video. Nothing, tumbleweeds through the air waves. Now I intend to file a police report which will hopefully help identify what may have occurred. Ok, I feel a little better from venting but still angry.

Review (Edited) We…read morearrived at the store and were asked to put our name down. We started with one salesman who needed to leave and then turned over to another, so since we were first online and had to wait because there were 6 people and only 2 salesmen. One salesman spent time with a young girl and sat with her for a while while we were handed boxes. The service was awful, and I noticed two people left because they had no assistance. We have purchased from here numerous times and would have left if I didn't have my cash points. We will no longer shop at this store. Service is now here--try it on and put the shoes you don't want nicely back in the box. Add but pay $$. You really need to bring your customer service back.

Considering I still have a pair of Clark shoes from 2 years ago, of a different color, that I still adore and use the heck out of that are sturdier then any other brand of shoe I own, this was unusual for this brand of shoe. I bought my, now gimped, pair of black heels in St. Louis, where I am from. I wasn't sure what to expect but when I went in here I had to mention my surprise that the back, bottom heel cap fell off. They took it back without a blink. No receipt, knowing I bought it from St. Louis, MO, and off my feet into their hands. They hand me a brand new pair of the same and I walk out happy and a devoted customer. What a great brand and what great customer service.

While on the way from Nordstroms to the Coach Store, my wife and I saw a menswear store with an…read moreunfamiliar name. Peeking in, the store was beautifully maintained with a wide array of men's clothing, coats and accessories. My wife and I were greated by Antonio, one of the managers and we spent awhile looking at the various items. Apparently. Rodd & Gunn is a well established and venerable New Zealand company even though it was new to us. I am used to shopping for menswear on Oak Street in Chicago, but I think I have a new supplier in the rotation. My wife spotted a very nice jacket and Antonio immediately secured the correct size for us from the storeroom. It fit very well and I was very tempted to purchase it, but my wife made excuses as to why I shouldn't, so we left empty handed. It turns out that she had aspirations to sneak back and purchase it for my birthday next month! I felt badly ruining her surprise, but a few days later I mentioned ordering it and she decided to take a trip with me to the mall to pick it up. Susan (or Susie- I'm bad with names) helped my wife purchase it for me. Both Susan and Antonio treated us with courtesy, friendliness and helped us make our way around the store. I know I will be back as I noticed some very nice pullover sweaters at a very reasonable cost. I found the prices to be fair, the styles to be current and the quality highly satisfactory. I've been wearing the jacket for a few days and I am very satisfied.

BUYER BEWARE - VERY UNETHICAL RETURN POLICY - DISHONEST & SKETCHY!!…read more Each time I returned items - I would not get credited for the amount automatically - like I do with any other company. What is old is new again! I love a good neighborhood thrift store. Family owned and operated,…read moreThrify Thrift in Skokie, IL is a true gem. I think they're a fairly new establishment which opened over a year ago. I've gone twice in the past month. The prices are crazy excellent where you can find quality clothes if you dig deep enough. Clothes are available for all sexes and age ranges. They don't just sell clothes either. There's a good variety of things for sale like basic housewares, accessories, music, movies and comic books. I even saw a few items like tool sets, a set of golf clubs and a vintage Nintendo Cube set for sale. On both occasions, I spent an hour here and never left empty-handed. Look out for their 50% color tag sales that are generally offered daily. That's where you'll find the biggest savings. The only downside is that they don't have a dedicated changing room but they offer their single occupancy bathroom as their changing room. Disclaimer, the bathroom/changing room did not smell pleasant. It had a strong sewage stench. Hopefully their bathroom sitch gets fixed with time. At least they offer poo spray in the bathroom. If you have a sensitive nose, you may want to avoid. Another disclaimer - All items are final sale. They give no returns and no store credit is offered. They accept cash and card payments. There is free parking in the public lot to the right of the store. Currently open Tuesday - Sunday but check Yelp or call for their store hours. Happy shopping!

I just moved to a new neighborhood and saw Thrifty Thrift on the map while I was learning what was…read morenewly near me. I love thrifting and buying second hand and was so excited to see a new option close to me. I slipped my plans for Thrifty Thrift in with some other errands on a Sunday. They are open 12-5 on Sundays and it was between 12pm and 1pm that I stopped by. They had a sign out on the sidewalk that said they had parking, but I'm not sure what parking is actually for them. I parked in a lot that was just East of the store (the direction I was traveling). It had snowed in the few days prior to my visit and Thrifty Thrift did not have any of the sidewalk in front of it's store shoveled or salted. I'm not sure if it's not required or they think customers won't appreciate it or maybe I just happened to be by on a day that they didn't have enough staff to get it done, I'm not sure. Inside this store feels very much like a cross between a flea market stand and a small second hand store. It's relatively tight inside with all available space used. Every surface has more items available. There are clothes racks in the back, they are too tight for 2 people to look at the same row at once. This is a place that somehow felt like it had so much and nothing all at once. If you're a thrifter, this is definitely a spot you need to dig through and if you find what you're looking for it was exactly perfect and if you didn't find what you were looking for, then you found nothing. IYKYK. There was one man working at the front, and I was greeted. He was not overbearing and did not speak to me again, and I did not have any questions to ask. I didn't purchase anything on this stop so can't speak to overall price of items. I'm not sure this will be a stop for me regularly, but if you're looking for a particular thrifted good, this could definitely be an option. I do always appreciate a non-corporate option for second hand buying. Thank you, Thrifty Thrift!
