Wanted to love this place and let me start by saying, part of my review might be blamed on GrubHub - I literally live less than a mile from Zuzu but the driver had 3 stops before he got to me (Bad business process and should not be allowed because its causing quality issues with the food but hey I dont make those decisions) but because of that most of the food was cold! All the flavors were good, and being that it was our first time there I might have ordered too much food to try - Eyes bigger than stomach mentality! The Curry Shrimp was insane delicious, the Tikka Masala was good, Medium spice is slightly spicy for those that dont love it, just a heads up! I can deal most often times but this night my mouth was doing its own thing & my lips were on fire, LOL But still ate the whole thing because the flavor was spot on and I was just unable to stop shoveling it into my mouth. Decided to try a new place for Indian food but we weren't wowed nor were we disappointed. It was average. The garlic naan was good but had little garlic flavor; however we were pleased with the amount that came. There's a possibility that our meals were labeled wrong as the chicken tikka masala tasted like butter chicken and vise versa. I have been here twice now. Once at night once around dinner time in both experiences have been great but also a bit different. Last night took a client out to dinner here I meant a wonderful and friendly staff who went out of their way to help us. We had the option of sitting inside or outside in the decor vibe of the restaurant was comforting. Seeing how it was Monday they had a special on steamed Bobo we ordered butter chicken biryani and naan. Everything was excellent served hot and fresh. My only complaint would be the entrée sizes are a bit small for the price but they make up for it and taste. Restaurant forgot half my order, and doesn't have their own delivery so when I didn't get my meal their solution was to have my wife drive all the way across town after I'd already paid a delivery fee, taxes and tip to DoorDash. Food was bland and flavorless when I finally got it. The bread was cold and soggy, the tikka masala was a flavorless paste that I didn't finish even half of. Tried them based on the good reviews, but were disappointed. We ordered takeout on a Saturday night, food pickup was ok, had to wait a bit as the food was not ready. The restaurant has free street parking in front, can get busy at times though. Although all the food we ordered looked appealing, it lacked flavor and the chicken was definitely old which got our stomach upset. We got the Butter Chicken with garlic naan, Street Style Chowmein with Chicken and Ras Malai for dessert. The butter chicken had nice creamy gravy, but was low on flavor and heat even after asking for a spicy version. The sauces in the Chowmein felt a bit burnt up. Both the baked chicken in the butter chicken and the fried chicken in the Chowmein tasted stale. The garlic naan seemed to lack salt, so tasted a bit odd. If this is your first time at ZuZu Mo:Mo like it was for me, the Mo:Mo Tikka Masala will not disappoint. You have the option to choose from chicken, pork, or veggie fried momos that are laid on top of a creamy tomato cashew sauce. Additionally, the original steam MoMo were amazingly soft and plump. Arguably the best momo in the north shore. The goods : check in Yelp to get 15% off; $7.99 for momos & coke on Mondays; $7.99 for wings & coke on Wednesdays; certain items on the happy hour menu are half prices during the weekdays from 12-5pm; free samosa when you follow them on instagram, like them on Facebook and sign up for their loyalty program. I tried the steamed dumplings (can pick chicken, pork or veggies). It took about 20 mins to steam. The meat and veggies were perfectly balanced, came out super fresh and juicy. Momos were served with tomato based sauce and the other one was probably Sichuan pepper (super spicy!) The shrimp biriyani (can choose mild, hot or super hot level) had a strong cardamom taste but interestingly I only found a few on the plate. When you order the biriyani at other places, you will be spitting out tons so Zuru probably strained them before plating the entree. I was hoping to see nuts and sliced boiled eggs on top of the biriyani (very common in Nepal household). They were missing but it was still delicious. Biriyani was not dry and more saucy. Raita came in handy to take off some of the heat. The fried chicken was over cooked and dry. The restaurant is cute with a full bar. In the summer time they have seatings outside. Please reserve ahead because it's small. Last time I went it was closed for a private party. I went right when they opened at noon and I didn't have to wait. A fun concept. Food and drinks were just OK. Zuzu Momo has a fun, casual atmosphere and a fairly extensive menu featuring Indian, Nepalese, Indian-Chinese, and some bar snacks. Service was friendly and accommodating. They have a full bar. I had high hopes for Zuzu, but nothing I tried really stood out. The service continues to be lackluster, the cleanliness of the space, at least the tables and chairs are questionable, and truthfully the taste of the dumplings seem to have declined, and the vegetable pakora keeps getting smaller. Food was good - especially the chicken tikka masala momo and barbecue wings, and they serve an excellent Rasmalai. ZuzuMOMO is a Nepalese restaurant located on 291 Main Street in Everett, MA. This is my family first time trying Nepalese food and it blew my expectations in terms of tastes. I always wanted to try momos since I love a good dumpling, but these were exceptional! I wasn't expecting to be amazed by their dumplings! Not only were they perfectly made, skin not too thick, but the fillings was juicy and tasty. We ordered chicken momos from the kids menu for the kids, but they didn't stop after they finished their portion. Both my son and daughter went straight for our pork momos after they cleared their plates. The kothey momos were steamed and then slightly pan fried so it was slightly crisp at the bottom. I prefer pork filling but the chicken momos was good too. The dipping sauce that came with the momos was amazing so I didn't have to order additional special dipping sauce. The sauce had a bit of a kick. Luckily my son is used to eating curry so the spice did not bother him. The goat curry was so flavorful. It came with a small rice. We also ordered garlic naan to go with our curry. The naan was baked. It reminded me more of pita bread where it was more dense and airy. I was expecting something a bit more thin and crispy. Nonetheless, it was perfect for soaking up the curry. We also tried the chicken kathmandu chow mein. We had it not spicy so the kids can eat it too. It had a nice blend of spices to it as well. We also ordered shrimp biryani, which was very flavorful and delicious. I enjoyed everything we ordered. The mango lassi was not too popular with my kids as it was very thick and hard for the kids to drink even with a straw. I poured it into a glass water cup to make it a bit more safe for my daughter to handle than the wine glass that it came in. The maha jodi (coconut martini) was good, but very strong. My husband went safe and ordered a beer. You can't go wrong with a beer. Overall, service was excellent. Food came at a steady pace. Our waitress was so nice and friendly. I would definitely come back. If possible, go with outdoor seating. The interior is nice, you are protected from the element, but it was just too dark for me. Outside, on a nice night, with the patio lights on would be best. I can't say there is a lot to desire of the restaurant's location, being on Main Street in Everett. If the restaurant was located in Somerville, I am sure it would be packed all of the time. What can I say, bring good company. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes. It was St. Patrick's day and we were looking for some place to eat that was relatively close to Boston to avoid having to drive far while avoiding large crowds. Zuzu momo was the perfect option. Finding parking was a bit tough but there is free street parking around and it was a nice day so we didn't mind the walk. The inside is very nice. It feels cozy cause of the size and also inviting cause of the subtle but classy decor. There weren't too many parties present so our food came out quick and our waitresses were pretty attentive throughout. We ordered the momo tikka masala, with garlic naan, and chicken biryani with mango lassi as a drink. The mango lassi had a stronger yogurt flavor than I'm used to but it was still good and thick. The combination of chicken biryani and momo tikka masala was perfect. We figured we could used the tikka masala curry from the momo to use as a dip with the naan but also to add over the biryani and we were correct. The momos themselves were very good, crunchy, and tender on the inside. Despite sitting over the tikka masala curry, the momos maintained their crunch and were not soggy one bit. The biryani was delicious and it was a very generous portion. I would definitely come back and try other menu items. We did think the menu was a bit busy, or maybe it's the font they use that makes it a bit confusing but we were able to navigate it with careful attention. read more

I have $50 in rewards, showed them the email confirmation I received from them, linked to their reward system from my email, confirmed the $50 reward which says I can redeem. My friend and I came here on a Sunday afternoon to a near to empty establishment. However there were a few parties that joined after us and a consistent amount of take out orders. I made reservations just in case nonetheless. For appetizers we shared a samosas chat and garlic naan. We also shared the mango lassi which was creamy but also watery, in a good way. It came with 2 samosas that were cut in half covered with fresh chopped white onions, chutney and cilantro. I enjoyed the crisp dough and fillings with the flavorful toppings. The naan had a perfect chew and that to-die-for garlic taste. It was perfect for dipping into our entrees as well. Our entrees were the MOMO tikka masala dumplings and goat curry. The dumplings were surprisingly still crispy after being under the sauce for at least 40 min by the end of our meal. The filling was juicy and a burst of deliciousness. We wished the goat came with more rice as the curry was delicious and we really wanted to be able to consume every bit of it. I loved that the goat was cooked with the bones as the development of flavor after cooking for hours is unlike any other. Service was phenomenal, staff was attentive and friendly. Ordered some momos which was tasty, cold beer but it really made surprise when they served Kids chicken fried rice which seems to simply mixed of rice and pulled left over chicken from chicken curry. I also got the chili chicken entree which is more of a dry dish rather than a saucy dish. It wasn't exactly what I expected but it was still good. A side of basmati rice is oddly expensive. My companion got the momo's with the vegetarian fake chicken and she said they were delicious. The place was packed and they had no shortage of business. Zuzu Momo is a small, cozy restaurant. They surprisingly have a full bar and the drinks looked good although we didn't try any. I ordered the chili chicken which was delicious. It is a pretty large serving so it would be great to share. I would suggest getting a side of rice with it because it's really just a big bowl of chicken. My bf got the ramen momo and loved it. I tried it, and the broth is not the typical ramen broth. It's very thick, almost like a curry, and it's smoky tasting, but definitely delicious. He also said the dumplings were good.
