Recently tried this family-run restaurant for takeout because the space is quite small with limited seating. It was delicious!! My favorite dish is the pork steamed momos with spicy sauce, the skin is nice and thin, meat is well seasoned, and the sauce is so good I could drink it. Everything I ordered was reasonably priced and flavorful. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

I was so impressed with the attentive and friendly staff, flavorful food and overall pleasant dining experience! The staff is really knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to menu questions as well as allergen information (I have celiac and my server knew which items would be exposed to cross contamination in cooking). The food was delicious and so yummy and the inside of the restaurant is beautiful, clean, and welcoming!

This is a very easy recommendation! Staff is warm and friendly, restaurant is cozy and cute, and the food is excellent. Great depth of flavor, made with a lot of passion and attention to detail. Everett/Malden have a disproportionate amount of Nepali restaurants and this place stands out among the pack. I'm genuinely looking forward to coming back. My only note is that the standard level of spice is quite mild. If you ask the server, they're more than happy to increase the heat to your taste.

I decided to give this hot new restaurant a try because I was craving something different--and let me tell you, I'm glad I did. It's a small Nepalese spot, but don't let its size fool you. The food here packs a serious flavor punch, only made better by the kind and accommodating staff. I jumped right into the food with their sweet and tangy chicken chili. It's marked as spicy, but I found it to be pretty mild. Still, it was incredibly flavorful and delicious. The sauce was killer--perfect for scooping up with the garlic naan, which came in a generous portion, or for smothering over the rice that comes with the entrée. I also ordered the fried momos (you can get them steamed too), and they were filled with super flavorful, juicy pork. Everything was on point. And I cannot forget to mention... THE BANANA PUDDING! WOW. This was the surprise of the night. I wasn't even planning on getting dessert, but figured I'd ask just in case something caught my attention. Most of their desserts are made in-house, including the bread pudding. The waitress recommended it, so I thought--why not? Man, I'm glad I didn't pass on it. I absolutely loved it. If you could take bread pudding and turn it into a cool, creamy banana pudding, this is what you'd get. It almost looked like ice cream, but it was this smooth banana cream with what seemed like soft, broken-down cake, bits of caramelized banana, all topped with a crispy wafer. Such a perfect way to end an amazing meal. I will definitely be back. Don't sleep on this new spot right in downtown Malden. You've been informed!

I finally got the chance to try this place since it opened! It's a small cozy restaurant serving tasty Nepali dishes! It's a great place for a date night and also for take out! The staff were also nice and welcoming! I tried a variety of their items on the menu and my favorite will have to be the Momos'! They are delicious and juicy dumplings! Their other dishes that I've tried were also yummy! I also love the mango lassi and tiramisu! I definitely recommend checking this place out and I would definitely come back here!

What a great new spot for Nepali food! I dined in and had the Wai Wai Sadeko, which was packed with flavor and I enjoyed the crunchy texture from the noodles. I also ordered the steamed pork momos, chili chicken, chicken tikka masala and garlic naan to go. The momos were juicy, the chili chicken had a great balance of spice, and the chicken tikka masala was rich and well-seasoned. The garlic naan was soft, warm, and perfect for soaking up the sauce. The restaurant has a nice, warm, cozy ambiance, and you can really tell the food is cooked with care. It has that authentic, home-style "mom cooking" taste that makes it extra special. The staffs were friendly and attentive. Definitely worth checking out.

This restaurant is very cute & cozy. Family run with great service. I highly recommend the Momo, Matar Paneer and Wai Wai Sadeko!! The menu is also vegetarian friendly. Would definitely come back whenever I have the chance.

My friends and I walked by this restaurant and were excited to try it out. All the foods we ordered were flavorful and filling. The restaurant recently had their soft opening and offered us a side of egg rolls to try. The employees and servers were kind and attentive, checking on everything and what else we needed. We are definitely planning to come back again in the future!

    Chicken Momo

I been meaning to try this new spot over the weekend but the storm delayed it until today. I ordered the chicken momo's and the chicken chilli. The chicken chilli was very good but the chicken momo's were one of the BEST I've had. I was able to talk to the owners as well and they were super nice. Small mom-and-pops feel to it. Will definitely be coming back.

Everything was sooo good! Service was great and ambiance was cute and cozy, BUT THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!! I dont see much Nepali food around me, and this was such a gem! It was like a warm, comfy, quality homecooked meal. So good, Ill be driving to Malden from South Shore more often!

We got there mid afternoon and the place was not busy. We greeted and seated almost immediately. It was a super pleasure to have Sandesh as a server and what a super nice and helpful man. Not only did he treat us well but also explained a lot about Nepali food and culture as we asked. He checked on us often as his way to make sure that everything was going well and if we had any questions. I learned that water buffalo(buff) is one of the favorite proteins in Nepal. We were informed that they get the meat from a farm in NY and that they like to keep to authentic flavors. For an appetizer we went for the buff pan fried momos. We had both spicy and non-spicy dipping sauces since I prefer non-spicy. I found the sauce delicious and the buff to be an interesting protein that I would try again. For my main course I went for the chicken thali after learning that it is one of their traditional meals. You get a little bit of everything including dessert - a delicious greek yogurt mixed with green cardamom and coconut. Our server mentioned that if we wanted anything extra (except for the protein) that they would be happy to bring it. We had tons of leftovers because we tried several dishes and asked if we could have more rice and they provided a complimentary container when our food was packed. Place is super clean and has beautiful Nepali decorations. Even your bill is brought in a wooden box with Nepali carvings. There was soft music playing in the background. We were curious about the hot pot tables but were informed that they were left by the previous restaurant but that they don't offer hot pot. The women's bathroom is cleverly decorated with Nepali scenes and has a beautiful authentic faucet. Our server informed us that on Wednesdays and Thursdays they offer what he described as Nepali street food. Selected dishes are $5 except for a a whole fried fish that is $10. We might have to check them out one of these days. An overall great and unique find!

The soup was the highlight this time. I could tell the thukpa recipe was modified and it was BETTER and DEEPER. Piping hot as always, more veggies, plenty of chicken was grilled and added on top, broth filled to the brim, noodles still had bounce, flavor galore. They even asked what spice level I wanted this time, and I said very spicy; it wasn't that spicy though, so if you like spice, consider saying 'extra spicy' lol. It was mostly soothing--a warm, HEARTY bowl of chicken soup; didn't leave my mouth tingling at all. Just a warning, the way the chicken is grilled makes it a little more hard/crunchy. It's not soft/pull-apart for those of you wondering; it's a different type of style of cooking. I actually really enjoy the crunch and there has never been any questionable or chewy bits. This is due partly to another party ahead of us not leaving promptly, but I think the restaurant could have been ready ahead of us as well. I will admit that I enjoyed the ambiance - it had nice low lighting with contemporary decor which made a nice dinner spot. The service in terms of both the waiters and kitchen did not feel timely either. It took a while for drinks to arrive and there were barely any water refills in general. We ordered four different dishes on our side of the table and they were somewhat bland. The vegetable momos definitely need some kind of sauce since they were lacking in flavor. We also got a curry chicken thigh, beef noodles, and butter tofu. I think only the beef noodles had a good enough flavor profile and kick to them. I was also surprised that the portion sizes weren't close to what you would expect for the price. I think with so many good south Asian spots in the area, it's hard to recommend Martsa. I might consider coming back if I learn that there is a particular dish that I am missing out on.

The restaurant was comfy; there was an electric fireplace on the wall which made the room feel homey. We got fried pork momos, which were delicious and juicy. I got the pork chili from the appetizer menu and garlic naan for my meal, and my companions got the chow mein and sekuwa. The chow mein looked standard and sekewa was grilled chicken served with puffed rice (looked like rice krispies). Everyone was happy with their meals, but I especially loved mine. There were slices of pork belly in a flavorful sauce with tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers. Note that the pork belly still has the skin on it (which I personally love). My only complaint was at medium, the food seemed mild, but I'll be clearer of my spice preferences next time. I would definitely come back specifically for the pork chili!

The dipping sauce was good as well, possibly a mint-like flavor. The pork momos were really good too, with nice crimping on the skin and decent fillings inside. The chicken vindaloo was decent, though I might have liked more specificity to the flavoring of the vindaloo. The potatoes were nicely textured. The chicken bites were a bit large, they could have been chopped up a bit. The gorkhali khasi (a goat curry) was fairly decent with tender nice pieces. The flavoring was oversalted and again could have used a tad more definition. The bone-in aspect was appreciated as it held the flavor of the meat. The bhindi masala (okra) was fairly successful with a solid infusion of flavor into the okra. The dish was overall too oily though and some steps need to be taken to minimize the oil. All in all quite enjoyable!
