Purchased my very first gun there earlier this year - a Walther PPQ M2. After tons of research and many, many trips to various gun stores, I landed on this Walther. As another reviewer said, I tried calling to see if they had any in stock and didn't get an answer. The only place in town that could confirm having one was Freedom. They were VERY overpriced, rude, and unhelpful. While I was there (being ignored by the 5 employees not doing anything but sitting,) the one employee helping another customer (also a first time buyer) was spewing BS to them the entire time. He finally stepped over to see if I had any questions and I asked for a price on the PPQ and when I asked why it was FAR over MSRP he scoffed and said "Supply and demand". As I was walking out I heard him telling the other customer he shouldn't be considering 9mm and babbling about stopping power. Right. I drove home disappointed and posted on a Facebook group asking if anyone knew which stores would be polite about transferring one if I ordered online and Nate PM'd me. He said they would be happy to do it at a reasonable cost and while he couldn't quite match the deal, I was so impressed with the service that I placed it on hold anyways. I picked it up the next day and have had several trips back to the store that were all equally impressive. This is a passionate and knowledgeable group of employees that will show you how much they respect you as a customer by giving their full attention and honesty - hence the never picked up phones. I am SO glad I have been able to find a local business to keep my money in Fort Wayne. Thanks guys! read more

Prices are above average, customer service is below average. They have a big selection, but they don't treat their customers right at all. If you can shop somewhere else do it. I've bought from them three times, shouldn't stopped after the first experience. read more

The staff is incompetent. I called to receive help for an FFL transfer and the employee spoke faster than a nervous toddler and when asked to repeat information he got upset? Not sure why? The information he provided was invalid and offered no help. I called another Local gun shop "Auburn Arms". They told me they do all the information on their end and completed the transfer for me... so idk why ZxGun was telling me to do the paperwork, when im not the FFL??? I've purchased multiple guns from Zx and will no longer being doing business or recommending them anymore. I do recommend Auburn Arms for FFL transfers! read more

I called Zx gun on a Friday to get a price on a Glock 17. I was told they had a Gen 5 for $425. I couldn't believe it. So I called back the next day to confirm the price. I was told they have a Glock 17 Gen 5 for $425. I drive to Fort Wayne from Auburn to buy it. I get to the store and I am told that price is a blue tag price. Which means that's the price for cops. WTF ZX!! It sure would have been nice to get that pertinent information the two times I called. read more

I went here twice to look at buying a new handgun. Both times I went in, stood at the counter waiting for someone to help me, and no one even said hi. I stayed for about 10 minutes each time and then left. I won't be going back. It helps to greet people when they come in and at least say someone will be with you in a minute. I've never been to this store prior to these visits and had high hopes, but sadly, I can't buy something if no one will help me. One of the worst experiences I've had at any store. read more

I went in to look at some holsters and buy some ammo, because Freedom Firearms didn't have what I needed in stock. They were busy. There were people scattered everywhere. It was hard to tell who was in line and who was just browsing. No greeting or we'll be with you shortly. They just looked at me then looked away. I purchased one of my first handguns from ZX Gun many years ago when the two original gentleman were just starting up the business and was very pleased that I had done business with ZX Gun. However, in the last decade, today included, I've visited the Goshen store for firearms and accessories and I have left the store without purchasing anything feeling literally appalled at how I was treated. There seems to be only one or two people working, which is fine that they are serving other customers however after standing at the counter for 10 minutes, I do expect to be acknowledged and not just looked at like I'm a truck stop hooker! During my previous visit several years ago there were a couple teenagers working the counter and their silly mannerism did not represent that of a reputable gun shop. For the last 3 visits I've left empty handed and very displeased. I'm afraid this is strike 3. I won't be visiting, buying from or recommending ZX Gun. As a paying customer I require a respectful seller. A little P.R. goes a long way. read more

BEWARE Bought a gun with 4 extended magazines . They gave me the wrong magazines and when I went back because they gave me .380 magazines instead of 9mm they have a strict no return policy and would not return them. Nice, modern, well staffed. First thing I noticed walking in the door, an employee was taking the time to explain various details of a few revolvers to a couple interested in a handgun. I bought a box of 22lr, they didn't even ask for one of my kidneys. (50 rounds CCI Velocitor. $7.48 out the door) They had some brands of 30 carbine I'd not seen before as well, plus exploding targets and much, much more. I shall return! read more

Had a gun transferred to ZX Guns and when I got there after work they told me they only do transfers from 10:00 till 2:00. And they don't do them on the weekends. That really screws the working class people who work until 3:30 . Meaning it's going to cost me money to take off work to go get my gun. I'll never do business with them again! read more

When they didn't have the gun we wanted in stock, the sales associate took it upon himself to call their store in Goshen to see if they had it in stock and arranged to have it held while we made the hour + drive there. I always get great service when I go in. They treat you very well, show you what you want to look at, and if you want something they try to get it. I was on a list for something and thought I wont get a call for a few months but 3 weeks later I got a call and bought it immediately. They usually have ammunition others dont have with a awesome inventory daily. I buy atleast one gun a month or ammunition weekly. Great place! read more

This is my 2nd time trying to buy an optic/laser here, first time the optic shut off and stopped working at the range after first try, had to email the company that makes them to get a new one sent to me. Second time i go and ask for a laser for my gun and they tell me the one they have fits and they assured me it did. i get home to test it out and its the wrong gun size so now i have a 120$ laser i cant use. read more

Pros: Great selection. If they don't have it in stock chances are they can get it for you. Best thing about this place are the prices. I would say the lowest around. Bought a new Kel Tec KSG 12gauge with red dot site, and magpul fore-grip for $1,200 after tax. Cons: Mediocre customer service. A lot of the time it seems as if these guys are having a really miserable day. Just don't seem like they want to be there all that much. Maybe I just have been there on off days. Either way Its really nitpicking, but the vibe could be better in this place. Overall a great place for good guns, at rock bottom pricing. read more

I've been a customer of ZX since I first encountered them well over a decade ago at the Indy 1500. After my first couple of purchases from them at the show I began to occasionally visit them at their Goshen location, and was thrilled when they later opened up a new store much closer in Fort Wayne. I've spent several thousand dollars with them over the years, but I think as of Saturday, they've received my last. I don't buy much online. I like supporting locals stores and I tend to be a tactile shopper. On Black Friday, however, I was able to pick up online a couple of lowers that ZX doesn't carry and ordered a few accessories with them. Only one time in the past have I don't something similar and in both occasions I had ZX do the transfers. The first time I transferred to ZX they received the lower and charged me the expected $20 fee that I read about online. I was very satisfied. This time, though, the company I purchased the lowers through sent the two lowers and a couple of matching rails, barrel nuts, etc., along with the lowers to the Fort Wayne store. After I completed the transfer paperwork for the 2 lowers, I paid my bill without thinking much about it. Upon being handed my receipt, it dawned on me that I had paid $60, the cost for THREE transfers. Sure enough, the receipt said exactly that: THREE transfers. I mentioned something to the sales clerk and he simply said, "That's because there were other items in the box." I held my breath and maintained my composure. Sure, I may have been able to get my $20 back had I argued, but what's the point?! I had learned an important lesson: ZX Guns will take advantage of their customers and charge a 'TRANSFER' fee for something they NEVER TRANSFERRED! If making $20 is really worth losing a customer who has probably spent in excess of $10K with them in recent years, then they can keep the 20 bucks. The extra transfer fee was never mentioned to me in advance, and there was no transfer. This is a dishonest and manipulative business tactic, and one I won't risk again. In my 50 years I can count on one hand the number of stores I've sworn off, but this will be on my list. With the new Gander Outdoors only a couple of miles away, as well as other gun stores to choose from in Northern Indiana, I certainly don't need them. I'm sure they don't need me as well, and will do just fine without me. I can only assure them that I will spread the word among my friends and on social media, online forums and places where I gather. There's no reason for others to get suckered like this. AND, if you take a look at their facebook page (which I did too late), you'll see others have made the same complaint. It's a shame. I really used to like the company. read more

I am now a multiple purchase customer with these guys since I started working with them a couple years back. Corbin, the manager, has been great to deal with as have the rest of the folks there. Pricing has been very good and in the few times I have had to buy elsewhere it was because they simply couldn't get that particular brand. When I shop somewhere, I not only pay attention to how I am being treated but how other customers are treated and have been impressed overall. For my vote, shop with confidence there. read more
