Good price for quick Chinese food! I work in the area and I've always wanted to visit this location. There's a very small parking lot. They have a combo menu where you can get aside into entrées. I forgot the price but that's what I got. I got the lo mein with beef and broccoli with sweet-and-sour chicken. There wasn't anything that stood out about this place, but also nothing bad either. I think it's a great choice if you're in the area and want quick Chinese food to go. I think it will be one of my go to places for lunch if I ever forget my lunch and I'm craving Chinese. Ever since the old owners sold this place it is trash it use to be so good now it's dry and cooked cheap the price doubled

New ownership. Very sad when we walked in and noticed the changes right away but was still hopeful things were still as good. The older Asian gentleman was not there. He knew our order every time when we walked in. The quality is not what it use to be. The lomein is now stir fried spaghetti, was soupy and had very little veg. I didn't taste the fire of the wok that it use to have. Prices went up and quality went down. If the food was the same, I'd be on board with the price increase. I like bad Chinese food so I gave them 4 stars. Their customer service is non-existent. They are behind glass and the extent of their customer service is saying "what else." They make you feel like they don't want you there. I am sorta into that so I gave them 2 stars for service. It's in a late 80s Era Taco Bell and that was last updated in 91. I got food poisoning here. Called the health department they could the refrigerator in the back of the restaurant was broken and not working. They closed them down for two days. The workers cut meat outside on backside of the restaurant. I will never eat here again! read more

I have been going to this $1.35 a scoop at 7501 Ralston Road for years. I only go about once a month because my wife has a lot of intestinal issues. I go as a treat to myself. Tonight she had plans with her girlfriends. I went into expecting the same smiles faces I'm used to but there were 2 young people sitting at a table and as soon as I came in they were very attentive. I ordered the same thing I always do. Sesame chicken , sweet and sour chicken. chicken lo mien and fried wantons. Looking back I should have noticed something was off. All the bins were full of product. Many times in the past I've had to wait for things to be cooked. When I got home with my mea I noticed my Sesame chicken had no sesame seeds on it and usually the color was a dark brown which it wasn't. The lo mien was spaghetti noodles with 2 pieces of onion and no chicken. when I started to eat everything was barely warm. The wantons where hard as a rock. I called the store and asked if they were under new management and the young lady said yes. When I inquired about the lomien being spaghetti noodles she did not deny it. And the portions were the smallest I've ever had. I want you to know this is my first review or post I've ever done. This is how disappointed I am. I really like Js cafe on 80th and Sheridan. Their sign out front is false advertising. They need to update that price on the sign. Still cheap food. Chicken lo mein had one tiny piece of chicken. It was mostly noodles. It tasted good but know there's hardly any meat there. Broccoli and beef was great. The temp of the dishes were very hot. Wontons were meh. They're still a bit bland. Soda tasted a little watered down. Service is ok. They aren't as friendly like before Covid lockdowns. Smile more! They don't wait on your table. Counter service only. Might be biased because of nostalgia, but this place is amazing. It was here when I lived in Arvada as a kid, and it's remained really great! The food is soooo good especially at the price. We can get a full meal plus leftovers for later for $20 or less, which is huge for struggling college students like us. The people who run it are always super nice too. This place remains good and cheap. There are ample portions and we left with tasty food. I ordered Mongolian beef and chicken mushroom and also beef with broccoli. The place is clean and efficient. This is strictly take out even though they do have some seating but it's nothing to be excited about (Taco Bell seating is better). Still we had enough food for two meals each! This place remains quite decent and worth stopping in to pick up your take home food. It's quick and cheap. While the food is your basic Chinese it still was pretty good. The Mongolian beef was a bit warm but not super hot and the chicken was quite good. After several years I still give it a solid 4 stars! read more

Chicken" Lo Soggy no flavor disgusting! They opened today for the first time since quarantine I believe, and I ordered sesame chicken teriyaki chicken chicken lo mein and fried rice wontons and eggrolls. The wontons are so hard that it would break your tooth if you even tried to eat it, the little man was soggy and why it's orange I have no answer for that. The teriyaki chicken was like beef jerky covered n sauce, only beef jerky has more tenderness! The sesame chicken was like eating sugar with sesame seeds and a little bit of chicken that tasted like it had been sitting around for two months. The eggroll was soggy inside and full of just cabbage. Worst place I've ever eaten in my life I'd rather eat off the street in Hunan China than ever go there again.. I've had Chinese from New York to west Oahu and everywhere in between and Ya know what? I like this place. You can't beat the price that's for sure. The food is always hot and fresh and some dishes are cooked right when ordered. I'm sure if you asked they could add whatever to a dish to suit personal tastes. I finally succumbed to my whim after trying every other Chinese food place around this joint just to avoid it. I figured, 1. they did not deliver for a reason, and 2. no drive up window... must be a sign to stay away... however i was wrong. The food here is great! The portions are huge, ad i ca feed my family of 7 for under 50 bucks and HAVE LEFT OVERS FOR THE NEXT DAY!! this never happens & to me thats a huge reward! (just to give a reference, to feed my family of 7 without left overs from the little shop down the way next to 7-11 it cost me over 100 bucks every single time) This place is packed every single time i go in, or my husband gets the "pleasure" of going in with "The List" and walking out with the bag piled on top of the bag, ad they take the time to get the order correct every time. the place is dingy out side(what can you expect for a 1970's taco bell looking building) and the decorum is that of a greasy murder burger joint down south/meets some decent tables and fake plants, but it is always clean, even the bathroom/storage room with ill fitting door.... the food is hot, and prepared right there for you, has a selection that pleases the picky "i dont like rice or green stuff kid" and the portions are MASSIVE! where they do not have boneless bbq pork, or pork fried rice... they still have amazing sesame chicken, and lo meign that is hot and fresh! the won tons are great and the spring rolls are too... my family has tried almost everything in the steam tables and the only complaint we have had was from the i dont like the green things kid, who was served beef and broccoli. so there it is... cheep prices, great food... and large portions... moral of the story.. dont be afraid... go try it.. its good! read more

Service is quick, a "scoop" is MASSIVE, and the chicken, noodles, and rice are great. Plenty of options, if you can't handle some spice or "ethnic" food, this is not for you. So I'm giving this place 4 stars for simple fact that its decent Chinese for a cheap price,not because its amazing food. :) Anyway the wife and I have been coming here for a couple of years now and its always good. We try to go during the busy times-evening and such.It seems the food is always fresh and hasn't been sitting around. We've even ordered stuff from off the line and they make it pretty damn fast and good. Now the food isn't the best in the world but really good for the price. When they say $1.50 a scoop, it is a huge scoop--two scoops is all I can eat. I eat lunch there frequently as a healthy fast food alternative. I often go disc golfing at the nearby Johnny Roberts Memorial Park disc golf course, play a few rounds and then stop by scoops and head home. I don't like eating in this restaurant as it often steams up from all of the cooking going on. If they charged more for their food maybe they could spruce the place up a bit, but why not take the food home or to the park? Now I understand that I may be a rare breed that goes for this type of place, but I have brought some of my "scared" friends and they thought it was great too. I have been here three times (thinking it will get better and trying to give it another change), but my mind has been made up. Each time I went I got lo mein and then various "meat" choices. I really like this place. I know it is not the best Chinese food ever, but for the price you can't go wrong! I like the family that runs the place. They are very nice and always greet me with a smile no matter how busy they are. Yes, this place can have a line out the door an hour before they close on the weekends it seems like. They have about 10 main dishes, noodles, fried/steamed rice and 3/4 appetizers. I know the food is fresh most of the time because they can't keep enough in the trays and the cooks are always cooking. The amount of food they give you is unreal. They are not stingy with it by any means. I say try it, you might just like it. Plus you can do it for under 3 dollars.
