Tried this for the first time today after craving some Asian food. So happy we gave it a shot despite some of the poor reviews. Don't listen to them, this food is awesome! The portions are huge, the price is incredible and the flavor/taste are better than I've ever experienced in all of Denver. We had: Kung Poa Chicken, Sesame chicken, Mongolian Beef, Crab Cheese Wontons and Egg drop soup. All incredible! We ordered take out and our order was ready for pickup within 15 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. The ambiance is not the real winner. It's the food! The food was very flavorful, huge portions, the lunch special was more like a dinner portion with a spring roll and soup. I had the hot and sour soup and my friend the wonton. This is hands-down, the best American Chinese I found in Denver. My family and I have given up ordering out Chinese and just make it at home and we wait until we go to Chicago to visit family to do American Chinese. The prices were reasonable. The portions were huge and the food was really good and the egg foo young was surprisingly tasty. Even my egg adverse five-year-old couldn't get enough of it. While I think it's crazy not to have some kind of process to organize takeaway orders, track people as they come in, and communicate about where things stand, I understand that a restaurant can be in the weeds and it's hard to dig out. I don't mind waiting for an hour for my food on New Year's Eve. But I do mind getting the wrong food. I received dumpling soup I didn't order. I did not receive egg rolls I did order, but I did receive crab cheese wontons in the place. I didn't receive sweet and sour chicken I did order. A real mess. I hadn't been here in many years. Not sure why I returned other than remembering that two of my favorite Chinese restaurants went out of business and I was dying for decent Chinese food. Problem one: I'm vegan but the wait staff didn't know what that meant. I ordered a tofu with veggies dish. Large portion for a very reasonable price. But veggies were overcooked, especially the broccoli. Tofu was pretty good though. Was it vegan though? Overall, the food was bland. When we walked up it kind of looked like a hole in the wall and we were excited ti try the food! The staff was very friendly and kept a close eye on us (in the best way) to perfectly time our soup, dumplings and main course! The restaurant was very clean! Dumplings are AMAZING... if you get nothing else get these and crispy! You will not regret. The sizzling rice soup was good too and had more veggies in it than we are used to, it was pretty hearty! The rice was rice and I'm not sure I would get the fried rice again, seemed like it just had soy sauce added. The Kung Pao chicken was very good as was the beef. Ordered the king pao tofu and requested it be extra spicy. The tofu was cooked well -great chewiness- however the meal overall was bland and there were too many peanuts and celery pieces. For $20 (with tip) it wasn't worth it. I'll never be coming back here and I would recommend people go to a different restaurant if they're looking for chinese cuisine. Let me tell you this was some of the best Chinese food I have had in a really long time! I ordered Mongolian Chicken and it came with fried rice, which was hands down the best fried rice I have ever got from a restaurant! Service here was quick and concise. The authentic waitress came to the table and took our order with a pen and a pad of paper! The food came out quickly and it was hot and freshly prepared, but my sweet and sour chicken was drowning in sauce almost to the point where it was overpowering the taste over everything else. There was always a line for to go orders, but we were seated right away. We decided to try out the fried shrimp, Black Bean and Garlic Sauce Eggplant with Mushrooms, and the Mongolian Beef. I ordered the hot and spicy combination and the egg rolls for delivery. The hot and spicy "combination" only had chicken, no shrimp or pork. The chicken was fried to a crisp, hardly any meat. The Chinese mustard was straight wasabi. I have never tried mustard that spicy, it almost made me throw up because I didn't expect it and got a big scoop.
