An absolute fraud of a service company. From arriving at my house Technician had a nasty smirk on his face as if he didn't like his job or wanted to be at my address or most likely already like that. He made contact with me and instantly had an attitude with answers or options that lead no where always with an excuse to why he couldn't do the service. Lazy or just fraud ,he wanted to do nothing leave in 30 seconds and still tried to charge me a service fee lol what a joke of a guy. I had to literally te him to get the F out my house. Very unhappy with this company. First time around they did not fix our issue resulting into health consequences for my family - we were eating food from dishes that were not washed in hot water. They continue to insist on repairing our dishwasher now that it is covered in grime, bacteria build up and possibly mold. The customer service is also poor. I want you all to know about the amazing service my family and I received from Stephan C. #88! he was scheduled to be at my home at 9 and he showed up on time but unfortunately my whole house was asleep and he waited an hour for us to wake up and open the door! despite the lack of considerably from my family he still provided the most impeccable inspection of the stove in my kitchen. The owner had contacted me about our previous experience and was such a kind (& reasonable) man. They have a satisfaction guarantee and he stood by that. He never asked me to re write a review which I found to be classy and credible. We recently had an issue with our garbage disposal and asked the owner directly for a tech he could recommend sending out to us. Mark (tech #27) arrived on time (they give you a two hour window). We kinda chuckled b/c I think Mark was the tech that we wanted and was supposed to be sent out for the last visit. He assessed the disposal situation and determined that it had to be changed out. The price was fair but keep in mind that the repair is being done right then and there so sometimes paying a bit more is necessary. He installed a brand new Whirlpool disposal (sis thought they'd use a knock off brand but nope) and even changed the sink hole thingy (where there are flaps, etc). Mark even helped me stabilize the dishwasher that was kinda loose from the last tech's visit. It was a completely different experience this time around. We are glad we used 800appliance again and would use them for a future issue (with Mark the tech). read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Literally one of the worst repair companies I've ever worked with. Customer service is atrocious. They waste your time by having you call in and explain your issue. Two separate times now, the repair technician has come out, been told the EXACT same thing they were told over the phone and we were informed parts needed to be ordered. The technician was literally here for 45 seconds. Maybe that wouldn't be so bad except when you're given a time window of 12-4pm so you sit at your house doing nothing for 4pm to come and go. I reached out asking for an ETA. They couldn't even meet the updated ETA let alone reach out to me to inform me what's going on. Such a waste of my time and the receptionists are rude as well. We were so frustrated by the repair company that our warranty coverage appointed to fix our dishwasher. Literally got the runaround for over two months and finally called them back fuming. After that phone call they must have sensed how pissed we were cause they called these guys and they came out the very next morning. 1-800-appliance was awesome. Greg M and a trainee were in and out of our place in about 15 minutes and after waiting for as long as we did just to get a diagnosis from the other company it was an absolute breath of fresh air. Whirlpool sent this company out, since our 6 month old dishwasher was not cleaning, drying dishes, taking 5-6 hours to run and not too mention was extremely loud (it was a 43 decibel dishwasher!) The tech (#821) came out and only ran the computer to "check the codes" and see what the problem was. Since there was no code, he said there was no problem and nothing he could do. He ran the dishwasher for 5 minutes. He wouldn't even examine the dishwasher. We told him, just leave it and we will contact Whirlpool and the store we bought it from. We call the store, the manager had us return it for a full refund. After speaking with the salesperson, he said he had the same dishwasher and did not experience the problems we had and that there definitely a problem with this one. read more

I ordered microwave parts to fix the damaged microwave I received July 2021. They never received the parts. I contacted them on several occasions from July to October 2021. They never got the part and never reached out to me. Contacted them again June 2022, 8 months later, and they still don't have the part. I don't think this company operates in good faith. I had a Kitchen Aid dishwasher that had a bad control board which was covered under the 5 year warranty. Kitchen Aid said they need to verify this with a qualified technician and that I would have to pay for it. They selected 1800 appliance. So I called 1800 appliance and explained that I just need verification, not an actual repair. The guy they sent out basically said it's not covered, citing no evidence and having no interesting in actually reading the warranty. But the note said "Bad User Interface Control Board" and the warranty said "Electronic Controls." So I called Kitchen Aid to explain and Kitchen Aid said they had to have the part ordered by the technician. So I call to tell James to initiate the replacement and 1-800 appliance straight up ghosted me; wouldn't respond to emails, phone calls, etc. Clearly they were caught in an indefensible position and clearly they are colluding in consumer fraud. I mean: this is covered under the warranty. And, the guy they sent over lost one of the screws to my already broken dishwasher, but offered to pay for a new one. So I have to literally order a screw that this guy lost. Not sure how these people sleep at night. They're essentially robbing people, or at least trying to rob people. Have used this company (and Stephan #88 twice), and been happy with previous visits. This time, there was a bit of a hiccup - apparently the parts department they are using is not sending things on time, thus delaying the fixes, even though you are scheduled. They are very good about communicating your appt, from emails confirming the appt and then texts on the day of, narrowing your window of time, and letting you know when they are on the way. Stephan showed up Thurs, went to pick up the part after verifying I wanted to fix the stove. Then I received 2 calls saying I need to reschedule my appt. The part did not get ordered when I made the first appt, so my time, Stephan's time were wasted. He returned Monday with the part and fixed everything...My advice: make sure the parts are on board the day before your appt. Stephan does great work, so I recommend him! read more

Whirlpool contractor for refrigerator repair and this is now the third or fourth time we have spent the day waiting for a tech to show up in our scheduled time, to find out afterwards they will not make it. Calling to reschedule and appointment setters literally say we can set the appointment but they may or may not make it. How about a little communication?!? Maytag factory repair sent this company to repair a noisy washing machine. The repair consisted of replacing the tub assembly. The installer took 9 hours to install the part. During the installation, the installer flooded the laundry room, adjacent hallway and the bedroom located behind the laundry room wall. The hardwood floor in the hallway was damaged. The company has been unresponsive to the issue. My insurance company has provided remediation services attempting to dry the affected areas. The washer now makes a different noise and appears to have a leak. I really don't recommend 1-800-appliance. read more

Girls on the phone are having too much fun. When I called, person that answered exploded in laughter mid-conversation, which is fine had she apologized and carried on, but instead she just hangs up. Totally unprofessional. Now I call back, trying to find out who that funny woman was, I am informed that there are 8 people working on phones, and it is impossible to find out who I spoke with. All-right, moving along to my original reason for calling: to re-schedule the appointment that this company's tech had already missed I am given a date and time that is inconvenient for me, I ask for another day and time, I am told that they only have "2 technicians" working, and cannot accommodate my specific request Then she adds that I should take this appointment, otherwise there will be a long wait for the next available one. How the hell you have 8 people on the phone and only 2 technicians? Is in not supposed to be other way around? Just stay away, typical low grade service company. read more

I'm not sure how this place is still in business. So unprofessional with the call center and my repair man works at unresponsive pace with getting nothing done. I unfortunately have to use them. I DON'T RECOMMEND them if you are paying out of pocket. I have insurance with Home Depot Asurion called them 10/13/19 and made an appointment for 10/17/19. My 1st appointment Armando calls me and says he will be there in less than 20 minutes. MONIQUE now calls me within 5 min to cancelled and moves it to 2 days later because he had car trouble. 10/19/19 Armando looked at the washer and said he does not have the part and said some time the next week he might get it. Got no call back so I called and MONIQUE couldn't get me an appointment until 10/23/19. Armando "serviced" my washer. Took about 15 min. Started a new load right away because I couldn't believe he fixed it. Surprise same error code appeares. Called their office within 35 min of Armando leaving saying he did not fix the washer. MONIQUE made another appointment for 10/28/19. Armando comes on Thursday and says whats the problem I thought I fixed it already. I tell him no the same error code appears and makes even more noises with liquid swashing around in the bottom. He looked at it again and wouldn't have the parts until Wednesday. Said someone else might come because he had training for that day. Called to confirm and said that they would have the part for Wednesday but they train all their employees so they moved it for Thursday 10/31/19(LINDSEY). Armando comes again and says the suspension is bad, has to replace some type of plate and somethings else with oil all over my floor and the washer. The total cost of repair and parts is far greater than the cost of the unit. That he will tell his boss that it is not worth repairing and he will send the paper work in. He says if no one calls you by Tuesday to call them to move forward. I call Tuesday and they say the are waiting for more information. I tell the to please call me back. At this point I am so frustrate it has been over 3 weeks without a washer. I call again Wednesday with LINDSEY says she is sorry but they are waiting on Armando for something. I call today 11/11/19 in the morning and they tell that they are in fact going to try fixing it and the next available appointment is for Saturday 11/16/19 12-4. I was so frustrated and mad I didn't even getting her name. One month out without a washer. This is unacceptable and how is it possible it takes so long to repair something you're supposedly an expert at. read more

Update: it's been 2 months since the repairs and I am still getting robocalls to schedule the repairs. I would give a better rating but they did the repairs a month ago and I am still getting multiple calls a day from an automated system to schedule repairs. I have called about six times to ask them to stop and they tell me they will leave a note for the manager but the calls don't stop! As instructed I listened to the whole message to get the "opt-out" option but there wasn't one. read more

Why it's often better to hire a professional example #403. I've got a stacking Whirlpool washer/dryer combo. I bought it about 6-7 years ago, but it's still in good shape. However, when it was originally delivered, the rear leveling leg collapsed and the installation/repair guy, Robbie Nolan, had a heck of a time getting it to stay level. But he did fix it. Fast forward to this weekend. I tore the duct that sends the hot air outside and my prior duct tape repair failed. No worries, I'll just go to Home Depot, buy a new section of duct and install that. Visited HD and was about to buy the flexible duct such as the one I was replacing. But a German guy, who did not work for Home Depot said, "Yah, you should buy zee semi-rigid duct. Ist much better und vill last much longer". So I bought the semi-rigid duct. Drove home and it didn't fit. Drove back to Home Depot and bought the flexible duct that I was going to buy in the first place. Returned home but I couldn't quite get to the duct receptacle on the back of the dryer. If...only...I...can...push...this...thing...out...another...inch...I... BOOM!!!! The dryer's leveling leg collapses and a bunch of crap on top of the thing falls onto my head. Messed with it a bit more, cut the heck out of my arm on the sharp metal, and finally decided to call 1-800-Appliance, the same folks who did the original repair. Richard B #37 shows up, 30 minutes later he's done. I told him, "How did you get that duct on? I had a hell of a time getting at it behind the machine." He replied, "Took me about 2 minutes. Really easy." "Yes, but how did you get behind the machine?" He said, "I didn't, you can get at it from the front of the machine. Just remove a couple of screws and you have access". Doh! I'm actually pretty handy, but also a big believer in hiring people who can do their job in their sleep. read more

This is our first time using this company & they were awesome; from the customer service to the technician himself... ILYA (tech #25) was very kind, informative & funny too. He made sure he checked every possible issue to our dryer. Even showed me how to check & clean the vent hose. We were worried that we would have to wait because of the motor replacement but he took care of everything that same morning. After my washing machine stopped agitating, I called Whirlpool to report the issue was the machine was less than a year old. Whirlpool referred me to 1-800-appliance and scheduled the appointment which was very convenient. Visit #1 - Stephan (#88) was assigned and arrived on time, calling beforehand. He was very friendly and even provided my children with a frisbee. He informed me that he did a reset of my machine as it was likely off balance and was on his way. Visit #2 - I attempted to wash a load of laundry and the same issue occurred. I called 1-800-appliance and they scheduled another appointment. Stephan returned and changed out the control panel this time after waiting several additional days to order the part. Again, he left under 20 minutes without running the machine through a cycle to see if the issue was resolved. Visit #3 - Scheduling the third appointment took several additional days. This time, Stephan arrived and called Whirlpool support. He indicated that my water had been turned off - this was not accurate or possible as the machine had been filling with water. I requested that he wait to see if the machine was working and agitating properly and he was resistant and stated "he didn't have the time." After challenging him about the water being turned on properly, he declared thar it is a valve problem and told me he had to order a part (again). I let him know that waiting is not an option and he reluctantly "found" the part within 30 minutes. The valve was replaced and the machine is finally working for the time being. This resolution took three weeks and several hours on the phone. Save yourself time, stress, and a mountain of laundry by calling another company. read more

Called at 5 PM receptionist could not reach Tech #51 At 5.45 PM tech sent invoice showing he had turned up and fixed Dishwasher ... Funny bit I have wasted my entire day waiting for them and they never turned up... WTF Update: they said he went to the wrong house??? Wow. Avoid this company at all costs. Since I posted the first part of this review things have degenerated further: Our refrigerator still doesn't work right. Freezes produce, milk and eggs solid. But that isn't the worst of it. Their workman, Viktor, who refused to return my components finally did return them (or at least parts that resembled mine). Unfortunately, he defied the directive of his company and returned, numerous times, without an appointment and with a hostile and belligerent attitude. Frankly, I was afraid to permit him inside my home. They finally sent over another workman to complete the job and to get my fridge functioning. Unfortunately, David, their manager, decided to jack the price up on our repair, I suppose to teach me some sort of lesson. Viktor had told me he only needed a $14 part to finish our repair. Yet David informed me, with a very cocky and unyeilding attitude, "I don't care what Viktor told you...I'm charging you $45 for that part!" I then asked their workman to leave my home. I called down to their headquarters and left a detailed message for their owner, "Perry". Perry ignored my call. Sending me to collections instead. The ironic part of their charge to collections is that their own receipt clearly states..."If you are unhappy, for any reason, with your repair...you pay NOTHING." 1 (800) appliance is a corrupt and inept repair company. Expensive! Shop around a bit! My refrigerator stopped working, and I had to look for someone fast to help before all our food went into the garbage. I looked up 1-800-APPLIANCE on Yelp, saw a few pro's and con's but decided to give them a shot. Here are my thoughts: PRO's: Courteous by phone and on-site, fast to diagnose and repair the problem. CON's: Ouch! When they told me the repair would cost $250+tax, including labor and parts, I figured it would be something complex and time consuming to do. It WASN'T! My Start Relay needed to be replaced, which took all of 10 minutes or less! For my own information, I looked online and found the part cost $50! I got charged $200 in labor for the 10 minutes it took to install, equal to $1200/hour! They were nice enough to waive my Service Call Fee, $20, but I forgot to use the $15 internet coupon (I guess I'm not so sly) and they didn't ask if I had one. All in all, I'd say they did an okay job for a simple-appearing job. The price on their labor is near that of a Justice on the Supreme Court though. MY ADVICE: get the diagnosis first, pay the service fee, then shop around for a better rate or, as I found online, do the repair yourself and save some money on a fairly simple repair. read more

I paid to much money for him to tell me to go out and buy Electrosol tablets, jet dry and lime whatever and buy a gallon of vinegar to put in it every 2 weeks. First time out I said "ok" then I told my husband he wasn't happy. I know I wrote a good review the first time. However, Robbie said if you go on Yelp, and give me a good review I get 25.00. And asked me to do while he prints me a receipt. Ok I did! 2nd time he came he pretty much said opposite of what he told me to do the first time out and stated "they are now contradicting themselves" Walking walking out NO EYE CONTACT AND NO RECEIPT!! Company came out a year ago and replaced the igniter in my oven. Used plastic wire nuts which melted all over the bottom of my oven and burned out the circuit board. They sent a tech out to take a look knowing the issue, and he arrived with no parts and said there's nothing he can do because it's past warranty. Unskilled or untrained techs who do the least they can to get the job done. Will never use them again and may be filing a lawsuit. read more

1-800 Appliance came out to fix my dishwasher in January of 2014 and replaced its motherboard. The motherboard went out again in December of 2014 and they cleverly refused to honor their warranty by scaring me to think that, if only replacing the motherboard again didn't fix the problem, they would then have to replace the main panel, in which case, I would be charged for mortherboard, main panel, and both service calls. I grumbled, but agreed to do the $300 fix in fear of that $800 specter (though, I was most likely entitled to a free repair under warranty). Nearly a year later, and on my way out the door on vacation for a week, I noticed again, there was no power to my dishwasher. Obviously unable to schedule the service call while out of the country, I waited until today to call them. Too bad, warranty expired while I was on vacation. Shame on 1-800-APPLIANCE to refuse my warranty claim again yet, and to bullheadedly adhere to their strict warranty period even when the problem is covered with their shoddy fingerprints. read more

These gentlemen were extremely knowledgable, it was evident that they were very well trained and extremely courteous and professional. I was very impressed with them both and would absolutely use them again. We have Kitchenaid appliances that the builder installed in our home and they cost an arm and a leg to repair. We previously used A&E Factory repair who was terrible. Call Appliance Rescue if you want it done right, these guys were recommended and certified by the factory (Whirlpool and Kitchenaid). Call Appliance Rescue at 1800appliance (8002775426). Specifically request Factory Service Technician TOM H. #47 He is a professional in every sense of the word. He arrived on time. His appearance was presentable and his attitude was pleasant. Tom diagnosed the problem, provided an estimate in writing with a clear explanation and efficiently completed the repair upon authorization. He followed the repair with a verification that the dryer was functioning as designed. Considering the short notice and the availability of the service with such, I am completely satisfied with their service and happily paid the amount outlined for the repair. When it comes to stuff like this, I don't have time for 'YouTubing' do-it-yourself videos or bothering friends and family for a favor. Tom H. #47 did his job and was a sterling representative for Appliance Rescue. I mention this tech specifically in this review because I give credit where credit is due having 15 years experience in premium customer service. Prior to writing this review, I read other reviews about other techs mentioned by name. I wanted to make sure Tom H. #47 nets referral business from this review. He deserves it. Heck... His efficiency saved me time and money. I was considering upgrading my workhorse dryer which would require upgrading my battle tested washer. That'd cost well over 2700 for the models I was comparing. My repair cost was a fraction of that. Great job Tom H. #47.
