I reached out to ECHAR after our LG refrigerator stopped cooling. The team dispatched Max who came the next day and diagnosed it as a compressor. We got the parts on the way and ECH provided support while I waited for a warranty compressor. Max was back out on Sunday (likely his day off) and fixed it within an hour or so. Service is decent but office is a bit unorganized and language barrier makes it difficult.

Our refrigerator sprung a small leak in the hose that feeds the water and ice dispenser. They were able to come out the next day, on time, and performed the repair. When asked if he could change the filter because we didn't know how to properly remove it, the technician declined. We even had a new one on hand and were happy to pay additional for the service. We were charged a downtown fee, which I'll admit is not uncommon, but we provided our own parking and we live pretty close to ECH Appliance Repair. I'm not sure what the service fee was for. Update: ECH reached out to me and they were very empathetic. I upped the rating I initially gave them because of the great customer support. They also refunded me $40. For the record, this company has very good reviews and I'm hoping my experience was a one off. read more

I had a good experience with ECH. Our stove was leaking a small amount of gas and it turned out the regulator was broken. ECH was friendly and communicative, and a tech was able to come look at it the following Monday. He said he would be back in a week at the latest after ordering the part, but the actual repair ended up being quite a bit later than he said (it was rescheduled twice, though once was my fault). The actual repair was done quickly; the repair man seemed friendly and knowledgeable, and our stove has been fixed with no issues since then (though the price seemed a bit high). Caused more problems than they fixed! Be very careful with these guys. They took apart my new dryer that would not turn on, could Not properly diagnose the problem, so they wanted to sell me parts I didn't need. luckily I refused $400 worth of unnecessary parts and labor. We fixed a bent wire connection On the door and it worked. Now the timer will not work because the so called tech took it apart and left pieces on the floor. They refused to replace the part that they broke, so I will be fixing this myself. Thanks for wasting my time and money on this project. I will not trust them working on anything again! read more

Great customer service and very friendly staff. I called to have someone come look at our gas oven because it would not light anymore. They sent out a technician that same day and he was very helpful in trying to diagnose our oven. They charge $60 for them to come out and try to /diagnose/fix the problem but if you need to order parts then the price will depend on the part and labor. Our dishwasher issue wasn't urgent so we waited 2 days for someone to come. The $75 diagnosis fee was reasonable and it was applied to the parts and labor that needed to be replaced. Absolutely amazing company. Kenny answered the phone when I inquired about whether they go out to Oceanside, as we have a subzero fridge that was leaking. She said yes they go to Oceanside and quoted me $90 for the visit and diagnosis which is applied to the repair. I had just spoken to another company in Carlsbad that wanted $225 just to diagnosis and would not apply to the work, which is insane. So I was thrilled to schedule with ECH. I made a deposit online with a credit card for service a couple days later. They gave me a time window of 9-12 and called me with the diagnosis by 10:30. Amazing! They fixed it the same day. Cost of service was very competitive. Wade serviced our fridge and although we weren't there because we live in LA he was able to access our condo with a lockbox and keypad with no problems. I highly recommend them for appliance repair. Their customer service is stellar and I appreciate that they weren't trying to rip us off like many companies do these days. They did a good job fixing things. When I called them out for another issue, they did a lot of work only to determine the replacement needed was going to cost almost as much as a new machine. I'm sorry I forget the name of the technician, but the guy that came to look at my washer was very knowledgeable and did a great job and unfortunately the washer could not be fixed because it needed a control panel and those are no longer made for Maytag that's over 10 years old! He was very professional and did a great job, and even though I was sorry, the washer could not be fixed, he did give me a workaround because the washer still partially works. It just won't spin out the clothes at the end, so he showed me has changed some things on the control panel, distill wash clothes and get a slight bit of spin on the washer, which really help me because I'm not ready to buy a new one yet! read more
