I was easily able to get a booking online. I needed to change the date of my appointment and that was also done with no issues. I called to confirm that my reservation was received and also to ask some questions about the items I wanted to junk. The representative I spoke with was very professional and helpful. He assured me there would be no problem with the job. The morning of my appointment, one of the employees who was assigned to my job called me and gave me an ETA for the day. A two man team showed up for my junk removal. I needed them to empty my apartment after I had moved out the rest of my belongings. There were quite a few large items left, but a lot of it was smaller stuff, most of which needed to be bagged up and trashed. They put in the work and cleared out everything I had remaining in the apartment. It took about 2 hours for them to fill 2 of their trucks almost to capacity. The trucks were a bit bigger than the size of a typical u-haul, with a bin on the back that was open at the top. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and very hardworking. Their services are over priced in my opinion. I had a window air conditioner on a second floor apartment and even after the disposal fee there profit for maybe 5 to 10 minutes work was at least 2/3rds of the charge. That seemed like almost enough profit for an entire day made in a few minutes. I know they have other costs involved like insurance and vehicle maintenance but it just was almost as much to dispose of it for me as what I paid for the unit originally. read more

Out steps Kamalei from his truck, he was very professional in his greeting and explanation of how the costs work. So, from start to finish he was always cognizant of where he was. Meaning as he carried some tall cabinets, he did not lift to hit my garage door or walls. Now you ask why 5 stars for a removal service. Well, professionalism, courtesy, and service with respect for not just swinging things around was very impressive. And being on time is something not always seen these days. J U N K...... In life one does and may accumulate some unwanted possessions. Who am I kidding.....sometimes there's lots of junk lying around. We had to dispose of some unwanted/older furniture recently. And so, I made an appointment at: https://www.1800gotjunk.com/us_en I'll be very forthcoming in this review: I had used 1800GOT-JUNK just once, about 2 years ago when I disposed of an old sofa and desk. I had a very positive and pleasant experience, and therefore decided to use their service again. The 2 staff, Gerald and Scott, left my home about 30 minutes ago with some old bedroom furniture (nightstand and dresser). About today's (9/8/21) JUNK pick up: 1. Appointments can be made online. Online is very efficient. You must enter your zipcode to determine whether their services are available in your home area. An email will be sent confirming the appointment. 2. Pricing is by how much space your items will occupy in their truck; pricing is by "eighths". Price will be determined and given to the customer when staff arrives at your location. You can either accept or pass depending on their quote. 3. I scheduled my appointment 2 weeks ago to ensure I got a date and time that was convenient for me. 4. Appointments are scheduled in blocks of 2 hours; staff will and hopefully show up within the timeframe selected. I chose an arrival time of 10:00am to 12:00pm. My appointment date and time, address, as well as the junk to be removed was confirmed on the afternoon of 9/7/21. 5. I was called at around 10:25am with the notification that they were going to be delayed due to their first job being unexpectedly large. Unfortunately, I had to call the guys at around 12:45pm to ask their whereabouts. 6. I received calls at 2:05pm and 2:30pm notifying me they were enroute to my home. 7. The guys arrive at nearly 3:00pm. They were extremely EFFICIENT. I showed them what JUNK needed to be removed and they transferred the furniture to their truck within 5-10 minutes of arrival. 8. Payment was via square. Receipts are sent via text or email. The guys were profusely apologetic about being late. I greatly appreciated that they didn't sidestep this fact and did not make any excuses. They did offer an explanation about the delay and thanked me for my patience. BOTTOM LINE: Admittedly, I was ready to write a scathing review of 1-800GOTJUNK, but I surprisingly find myself satisfied with the service provided, professionalism of the staff, as well as their efficiency in removing the junk from my home. Although they were late, I again appreciated that they apologized for the delay. read more
