Initial response was quick and got scheduled for an estimate right away. However, when it came to the day of the estimate, nobody called nor came. I had to call the company to find out what was happening because I'm stuck waiting for almost 2 hours, and ultimately, their excuse was they don't do estimates on a weekend!? Although I was supposed to get a rough estimate based on the photos sent, staff notified me day of during the appointment (rough quote in advance would be preferred next time). Workers are independent, they removed everything on their own and did it efficiently. The honesty: At first I was given the time from 8-10am on the phone but the email was changed from 10-12pm. Since they have many trips to make each day, I understand why the rough time frame is given to clients. It's a bit inconvenient but I had them call me when they were nearby so it worked out. My sister is a Hoarder who collected thousand of dollars worth of stuff dating back to the 80's. I called Ray Peralta on Wednesday. He re-arranged his Thursday schedule to accommodate my rush schedule because I had to return to Vegas on Saturday. A crew of 6 showed up with 2 trucks. The guys were very professional, friendly, efficient, respectful, and hard working. They worked at least 5-6 hrs non-stop to fill and sort almost 4 truck loads. I am very impressed that they took the extra tedious time of sorting stuff to find donatable items. The other companies I called did not care and will just trash everything instead of making the effort to recycle. Pacific Junk's is the most reasonable and fair of the three companies who quoted me. The best junk remover in town! Yesterday I had five star experience which started with Cindy providing the estimate and then the booking with Mark a week ago. At the appointed time two big trucks and four of the strongest guys arrived and from the very start it was an excellent experience. Casey, Alfred, Rich and Keone went to work immediately and within a period of four hours they were able to completely remove all items in a very efficient and timely manner. Fast, friendly and great service! I purchased an elliptical a few years ago. And as most gym equipment, it was rarely used. So I finally threw in the towel and decided to get rid of it. Unfortunately, my home is 40 steps to the street. Thanks to Yelp, I sent requests to a few moving companies. Pacific Junk Removal was quick to respond. They weren't the cheapest but they weren't the most expensive. I decided to go with them after reading their Yelp reviews. When I called to schedule an appointment, he asked how quickly I needed it done. I told him I was really flexible. He asked if today would work. I said yes. His driver would call when they were on their way. They called me 40 minutes early. And arrived 20 minutes before the appointment. I wished I would have gotten their names. Because they were fantastic. It took them less than 15 minutes to remove the elliptical and get it downstairs. They were extremely careful with the hardwood floors and walls. These guys are Great! From Mark who came and gave an estimate, to Josh and Johnny who came to haul it away. They were friendly, caring, efficient and clean. Johnny, the driver took great care to back the big truck down our narrow driveway without running over the newly planted grass. He had about 8 inches on either side with a big fence bordering on edge and maneuvered right down the middle. Kudos to Johnny and Josh for their hard work in a hot house. It was time to say goodbye to my collection of couches. My garage space had been reduced by half because of the trio of three seaters stacked up along the side. Stacking them on top of one another made them impossible to use, as if the stains, rips, and broken legs from 10+ years of use had not been enough to inspire their removal from my home. The staff at Pacific Junk Removal explained their pricing structure to me and offered to send someone out to give me an estimate. I declined, but only because I was much more interested in having my space back than in delaying the process. I know it would have been better to be sure, but their website makes the pricing quite clear, so I had a good idea of what I would spend. Two friendly young men arrived at my door on time and ready to help. They worked quickly and made sure to watch for doorways and small furry animals, both of which did their best to be in the way. May I start off this review with a: GREAT, AWESOME, AMAZING, ANYTHING-YOU-COULD-EVER-ASK-FOR-IN-A-JUNK-REMOVAL-SERVICE! Now that I got that out of my system, I'll explain myself. My family and I aren't exactly "hoarders" but we do accumulate our share of unused items around the house. I thought it was about time to get rid of our junk safely so I went online to see our options. Although we were well aware of Hawaii's "Bulky Items" program, we wanted to hire a private company so we could schedule our own pick up time. I looked through many different companies, but Pacific Junk Removal had the most professional website and it had a remarkable 5 STAR streak on Yelp! I don't like to make reservations online so I decided to call and make one directly. The manager, Ray, answered promptly on my first try calling. He was very professional and quickly worked out a pick up time and an estimate over the phone (we were able to schedule one for just two days later)! Peter and Jason came fully equipped with their big truck, trolley carts, brooms, and most importantly---their smiles. They arrived only 10 minutes after the quoted time and yet the minute they stepped out of their truck they immediately apologized for having us wait (10 minutes is NOTHING!). Then they quickly followed us to the back when we pointed out what was needed to be removed. They inspected the items and professionally explained everything. Among the junk, we had some broken lawnmowers and an old bed, but even though there was an extra charge for them (like an extra $10 for the bed and $25 for each lawnmower) they explained the reasoning for the charge so there was absolutely NO HIDDEN FEES. They gave a pretty accurate estimate before they started the job and then within half an hour they were done. They moved quickly and efficiently. We even had time for some great conversations and a few jokes here and there. We had a broken treadmill in the house that we couldn't move ourselves so we asked them to take it out for us. You can tell it's a 100% local company because they remembered to take off their shoes, even though they had to carry that huge treadmill!!! When they were leaving they took out their brooms and cleaned all the debris left over! At the end, the pricing turned out to be close to their estimate and VERY reasonable. They left with a handshake and a "thank you very much" even though it was us that should have been thanking them! Overall, I would recommend them to ANYONE I know who needs junk removal. OK, so here is another late review, again better late than never. This company is awesome!!! Moving back here after many years, I found my family's house filled with hoarded furniture, old mattresses, metal box springs, books, papers, knick-knacks, etc. an accumulation of stuff from over 60 years. Every possible space was stuffed with junk: in the houser, under the house in the crawl space and behind the house in the back yard patio.
