Michael is a high integrity, true professional. He called me back within 90 minutes. Then, within moments of arrival, he quickly found the 2 screws that had fallen out of tenant's pocket and wedged into back of clothes dryer...which were causing the squealing noise. But, did he stop at that? No, not this professional. Since he was already there and having to charge me for the call, he proceeded to spend a full hour completing taking apart the dryer, lubing every part, cleaning out any lint from the back, unplugging, disengaging and re-engaging the unit and checking it again at every step of the way. Our Kenmore washer wasn't working and showed a problem code on the display. Using the manual I tried the recommended maintenance to no avail. Called Mike and explained the problem. He not only knew what was wrong but showed up with the part the washer needed in hand. You don't get that kind of service technician unless they have experience! Fridge not cool... freezer not frozen? WTF?!? Found these guys after calling a few other appliance repair companies to come out and look at our hot fridge. Went with them as their service call was cheaper than the others and were able to come out in 20 minutes! Other companies quoted days... yeah that's not gonna Work. Michael came out quickly, diagnosed the fridge and quickly got it up and running again. I was glad the he was quick and efficient. Overall I got a reasonable price and am looking forward to not having any other issues in the distant future. I had to be away for the repair and payment but feel confident they did me right in all aspects. So yesterday my dryer broke, I called Mike this morning and he was able to come out literally in just a few hours to take a look at my dryer. Microwave oven just simply stopped working. It is 6 years old, not old enough to fail. I phoned #1 Appliance Zoroaster and had a good, informative discussion with Michael. By the way, I had never talked to him before this. He suggested one or two potential problems. I brought up other likely causes. He agreed. So, I had to decide on paying for a service call that is not inexpensive. Or do I just assume the worse and go buy a new microwave. After one day, I called him to come and check it out. We have ice!! That might not sound like a big thing to a lot of people, but when we moved into our "new" house nearly four weeks ago the ICE OFF button was showing on our GE French door refrigerator. Turned it off and NO ice. Did the toubleshooting recommended online, like replacing the water filter, but still no ice. Then our work changed. I called #1 ApplicancePROS and spoke with Michael who also went over the troubleshooting steps. I told him that I tried the recommended things so he made an appointment to come out and look at our refrigerator. Michael was prompt and called before he arrived. He spent a lot of time troubleshooting the refrigerator/freezer compartments of the refrigerator and finally determined that the ice maker on the ten-year-old refrigerator had gone bad and that is why the former home owners had turned it off. He ordered a new ice maker and called the next afternoon when he had it and he came over and installed it. It was making ice by lights out. We use a lot of ice when I make hard-boiled eggs in my Instant Pot; they need to be cooled down quickly. The ice maker bin was full by the next morning and hard-boiled eggs are now on the menu! I would recommend Michael to anyone who needs an appliance looked t and repaired. We wish we had called him nearly four weeks ago when we first discovered the problem with the ice maker. It was an unusual installation, and an accompanying vent couldn't be installed, since the type of installation is really unusual. Michael came out to install a new water heater because we had been told by the company that serviced it previously (they supposedly fixed the leak) that if was leaking again, we probably needed a new one. When Michael arrived, he saw right away that what we had bought wouldn't work with the system we have, and he felt confident (so do we!) that the leak hadn't been fixed properly. He went off to the hardware store to buy the needed part, came back and installed it, and even offered to load the new water heater on his truck so we could follow him back to Home Depot to return it! Not like a lot of guys that just start replacing and charging blindly. You can tell he's been doing this long enough to have the knowledge but not so long that he's jaded or burned out.
