I learned driving from Wendy in the past 2 months, and got my driver's licence recently. She is a very nice person! What I liked the most about learning from her was that she was relatively quiet compared to my prior coach from somewhere else, so that I was able to totally concentrate while driving. Of course, she would give me suggestions or feedbacks about my driving as appropriate. It's just that I prefer a learning environment that allows me to think and concentrate. Another thing I really appreciate was that Wendy told me to take the road test when she felt that I was ready. As someone new to driving, I had no idea about whether I could pass the road test or not while l was in the learning process, because I always felt that there's something to improve. But, you really don't have to be perfect to become a driver. That's why you need someone experienced to tell you when you are ready. Juanita is one driving instructor who really is very sincere about her job at hand which is not just to get one a driving license but to make one a safe driver. I was a very nervous driver to start with. I have tried to learn with many other instructors before but they always used to make me all the more nervous. But with Juanitas help I managed to get my drivers License, something I had thought was an impossibilty. Shenever ever got angry at me. If I made a mistake, she'd be very patient and explain what I did wrong. If I got flustered she`d ask me to take a deep breath and calm down. What I appreciate the most is her sincerity and honesty. The rates were very reasonable . She never made me take an unnecessary lesson. Very straightforward and encouraging, she helped me build up my confidence. Yippiii :-) I passed my road test and got my driver's license. All my sincere thanks and respect to Janita from One Stop Better Driving School. Very honestly - in a word - she is indeed a sensible instructor. I am originally from India and had a complete 'opposite-pole' experience of driving a car. I used to drive my car which had a right hand driving position, driving on roads are by default left oriented, road signs and signals are all the way different and I used to drive a manual transmission car. To me driving the car here in US was not a challenge but the real challenge was to grasp all the road rules and signs in my driving instinct. And this is where Janita was real helpful to make these disciplines part of me. I knew nothing about driving before I took lessons with Wendy. After the first lesson she gave me an estimate of the number of lessons I need in order to pass the test. When I started, I was so tense that I couldn't believe that I only needed 3 more lessons. But after the last lesson, I was a much more confident driver. I passed the test in my first try! I would highly recommend Wendy and 1 Stop in general. She was very nice and patient with me. My weakest area was parking and she practiced it with me enough times to make sure I can pass that portion of the test with no difficulty. After the lessons, the test was no big of a deal. I refreshed my driving skills with Nita. I took 2 hours for $95 to test my driving ability and to improve my confidence on the road. Nita helped me to ride with confidence on all type of roads on Ann Arbor: from residential roads with few traffic to the highway with quite hectic traffic. Also I took one hour lesson just before the exam to practise parallel and backing up parking. Nita shared with me several schemes of easy parking which greatly helped me during the test. It was very convenient to drive to the test right after the parking practise. During the test I had a different car, but with experience gained from the lessons I was able to do all the preliminary parking exercises and I was ready to drive on the road. read more

I am a student at the University of Michigan and when I first signed on I had no driving experience whatsoever. My instructor was Nita and she was the best! She was extremely patient and this helped to boost my confidence in driving as well. The lessons are a bit pricey in my opinion but in the end it was all worth it! I did the package of 6 hour lessons and that was just enough time to prepare me for the road test. Overall, Nita's patient, funny, and a great teacher who will keep you on your toes. P.S. After having tried a few other driving schools in AA, I turned to 1 Stop better for my son. My son took a few lessons with Junita before passing the test last week in first attempt! I have to say, Junita is the best instructor in the area, she's very understanding and professional. One Stop Better Driving School's prices were reasonable and after just 2 lessons I felt confident enough to take my drivers test (which I passed!!). Jenitta was a great instructor, a great driver, and very personable. She helped make me more confident in my driving and I am glad that she encouraged me to take the test!! The only thing I would say is that she picked up her phone too often, which made me feel like she was not paying me as much attention. Janita is a great instructor. She teaches you all the important fundamentals that you need to know to be a good driver (and to pass the test), while maintaining a friendly disposition. She assesses your skills based on your actual driving skills, and adjusts her instructions accordingly.
