"Norm" did my income taxes this year…read more After taking 4 weeks to process and hearing nothing, I later found out from Norm that the software system they used was recently hacked and he/they "could not safely electronically file my taxes", so mine and various other customers returns had to be put in regular mail. It wasn't so much that this happened - stuff happens - but he did not let us know about this fiasco. Several times I called Norm, and he would always say he would "call right back" - he never did, I either had to call him back, or, one time I physically had to drive back to the location to ask him some questions. I eventually received my federal income tax refund 11 weeks later, and my state after 19 weeks in mid July. Even though I had requested them to have my return posted electronically, a paper check (from state) was mailed. Norm personally seems like a nice guy, but after this entire incident, I doubt we would use him or this firm again.

Jenya (and staff) have consistently returned calls/emails and, unlike many businesses, who might "fudge" their way through a topic about which they're not certain, Rose Tax will refer you to other resources who can assist with your specific questions. I appreciate this - would much rather have someone tell me "I don't know for sure, but here is someone who would be a great resource for you" than "I'm pretty sure it's this" or "I THINK it's probably that." The latter is not helpful! I would definitely recommend.

Staff wasted our time, was not knowledgeable, and certainly not professional. We were not really clear why a real estate broker would be a good resource for tax assistance. After spending a good amount of time with one of the founders, she actually then refused to complete our taxes roughly one month before they were due to be filed. Bottom line: Do yourself a HUGE favor, and rather than wasting time with these folks, instead go to a professional, capable, courteous, and knowledgeable tax preparer.
