Games galore, themed cocktails, and a vibe any gamer or appreciator of gaming culture can enjoy! The 1-up lounge seems to have a rotating selection of game inspired drinks!

This is a bar and a game lounge merged into one. When I went there, there were only two other people playing games so it was very lonely. For a place like this to thrive, there has to be more people there to create a gaming atmosphere!

My partner and I ordered a Thanksgiving meal from here and it was excellent! Very kinda staff, great COVID precautions, and even better food. Can't wait to keep supporting this business from a distance until it's safe to go in person. Thank you!!

Chill hang out spot. Good beers, friendly employees. Tons and TONS of games and consoles.

Our family made our first visit here tonight with our kids because we wanted to try it out and let our kids play Nintendo. I liked the atmosphere and the setup was great. However. Our food? Was awful. By awful I wish I could give it -5 stars. Our beef skewers tasted like old expired meat and wasn't what I considered edible.. I wasn't able to eat it. My fries were cold and not cooked all the way through. My kids got pizza sticks but they didn't want to eat them. I think the concept of this place is cool and it's fun to hang out for a beer. But their food is Horrible and needs a ton of improvement. The bartender on staff was not friendly nor welcoming. Did not smile once, and acted like he hated his job. When I told the bartender/server about my poor experience with the food..he told me that it's "just the way it is and there's nothing he can do about it" and I was fully charged. I am angry I wasted my money on such a disgusting dinner of microwaved food and such poor attitude and service. We definitely won't return there.

I love best buds! The owners are wonderful, and it's a great place to play some games and get to know the person next to you.

A day membership fee is only $6, but you can buy a month or year at a time for a discount. Paws for a Beer is an off leash Dog Park, that allows humans 21 + to accompany them. Dogs need to be spayed or neutered, and up to date on their vaccinations. A great place for doggos to socialize, sniff each other, play with balls, sit on furniture, and walk around freely. They own the joint! We are at their beck and call. There is no other place in Whatcom county like Paws for a beer! Furr babies are free to roam as they please. There are ropes they can hang from, obstacle courses to conquer. Furr parents can hang out and watch tv, have a beer, wine, or other fun drink that they have available. The majority of the play area is uncovered, but a good section is covered with lots of space heaters, and a small indoor area to sit, and also where to can get your special baby some treats, food, bones, or toys! Don't delay, take your Furr baby for a fun play date.

Connor is a genius! I told him I wanted a couple of n/a cocktails and that he could pick for me…read more(I'd like anything) or experiment on me. He chose the latter. OMG! Each used n/a spirits (n/a mezcal in the latter) and a symphony of sophisticated ingredients, which wish I tell you what. Each had a speared dried citrus slice and a luscious ginger bite (or something!) a top. The first had included honey, but it wasn't sweet--just complexified with a little snap to it that the honey smoothed; the second was a little sweeter in tone, including a bit of huckleberry along with the mezcal. (Connor might recall them by my play name for them. Inspired by a book in my hand on collecting meteorites, I nicknamed the first the "Extraterrestrial Visitor" and the second the "Heavenly Visitor.") They were so delicious I suggested he put them on the menu. If he does or doesn't, no matter. Just ask him if he has time to get creative for you. He'll ask you flavor tone preferences, or you can just go for whatever he wants to make, like I did. Again, he is excellent. I enjoyed my lovely drinks with a Caesar salad (another OMG!) which included crispy bacon bits and loads of tiny shreds of a delicious white cheese along with a creamy dressing. It was scrumptious as was the very lovely charcuterie plate. Pistachios, green apple slices, fat outstanding Castelvetrano olives (caution: with pits), a luscious pepper jelly that went beautifully dipped into with their choice of excellent crackers, delicately flavored salami and a prosciutto so elegantly-flavored it could make you weep. And it was lovely enjoying it all on their "porch" on a sunny day.

The place has potential but honestly disappointed. See photo below of the Hummus Platter. Really? Next came the "Baked Brie with Figs & Cherries" - which sounded delicious. No figs in sight - yes, a ramekin of baked brie with a bit of cherry in it, but... uninspired. We also ordered the Stuffed Potobello - and left most of it on the plate. Pros? It was close to our hotel, and has charming half-moon booths. Summary? Uninspired with potential.
