Delicious food with a pretty extensive drinks menu. The chipotle chicken tacos were amazing - the shredded chicken was tender and flavorful, and the slaw helped balance out the texture with some crunch. My husband had the prime rib dip which was also really good and very rich. The truffle fries were thick cut and tasty as well. I was up in Bham recently hanging out for a friend's bday and we decided to go to JUXT. Wow, what a cool place! I love that they have cocktail flights so I could try a few different things. My man and I shared a flight and it was a great opportunity to taste their innovative drink offerings. We also shared a plate of their nachos, and nibbled on our friends' cheese curds and fries - all of which were delicious. Most impressive was the service! We were there during their busy happy hour time, but our server was so prompt and patient with us too (since we couldn't decide what to order). Drinks came out a little slower than I would have liked, but I think it was because they were busy. Looks like they also have a good taplist, so next time I'm out on the town in Bham I might stop here for a brew instead of a cocktail. Great addition to downtown Bham! read more

Good food, good drinks and a great atmosphere. Juxt is a total winner. Outdoor seating, bar and lounge spaces for whatever you are into. Watch out for the cocktail flights as you get almost a full serving but totally worth it. The beer list is great too. I would love to recommend a must have dish but I think you will get something amazing no matter what you order. Bar staff are wonderful and like what they do. Headed there for Sunday happy hour. Had the nachos, poutine and drinks. Nice place, welcoming and classy. I checked out the whole restaurant. The back area of the restaurant seems to be private. Also, the wash rooms are clean. Our server was attentive and nice. Food was delicious and drinks hit the spot. The nachos with pulled chicken was interesting since the chicken is BBQ tasting. Went to Juxt on date day. Was a new place in Bellingham for us! Awesome staff and friendly customers met us here! Very helpful and willing to tell us the story of Juxt. Very nice beer selection, and very tasty craft cocktails! My girlfriend had a cocktail flight which she loved. I had several sips and the were delicious. Especially The Eiffel 75! We ordered the deep fried cheese curds as an app and they were awesome! Lightly breaded with all the goodness of cheese curds. We also got the loaded nachos, a half order was more than enough for us. The char grilled burger with bacon and jalapenos added was a top 5 burger for me. It was so friggin good!! Girlfriend loves her BLT. If your up in Bellingham stop by and give them a try. The prices here are very reasonable for both food and drinks. I came here multiple times during my visit to Bellingham since it's a great value and was located very close to my hotel. You can get a flight of four different cocktails for $20. They're 5 ounces each and such a great deal since you get 20 ounces, which cokes out to $1/ounce!. They are all pre-made and available on tap, but they still spend time preparing the garnishes so you get the exact same experience but without hearing the cocktail shaker. I got a steak for $20 which was very tasty and the strawberry shortcake dessert was awesome! read more

Great place for date night! Fun late night menu specials and options for flights. I went after 9 pm and you get $2 off flights (cocktail flight came out to $20). I tried 'Time Forgot', 'Eiffel 75', 'Love Letter', 'Hot Thoughts'. Effiel 75 was definitely my favorite! I also tried the Cajun seasoning fries - delicious. Overall cool restaurant/ bar with lots of seating. I heard there's a small room in the back you can grab if you have a larger group (didn't get to see it). There's good stuff to be had here, but you'll need to hunt for it, and you'll pay higher prices here than you will at other restaurants for similar offerings. One could argue that the extra expense is for the bougie atmosphere, which is modern but cold and discomforting. Wobbly mismatched tables and hard seating belie that notion. One could also argue the extra expense is for flash service, but the inexperience of the staff is evident, and unaddressed by the management, who observes passively as orders are forgotten and mishandled, and the bill is delivered by someone who did not serve you at all, accompanied by the question, "So, what did you guys have?" (Sigh) The food is ok. Try the salad and poutine (but don't order the poutine with steak - it's a bunch of leftover overcooked bits floating in the gravy, and turns the delicious comfort food into something that resembles chipped beef on toast in texture, and will set you back another five bucks). I'd stay away from the falafel and the curry fries too. The former suffers from being over-worked into a gummy, almost rubbery consistency (although the sauce is nice), and the latter suffers from an uninteresting and monotonous sauce that needs acid and heat. Stick with the beautiful salads, and you might try the nachos, too (we didn't, but they looked good!). The taps are excellent and interesting, and for all it's clumsiness the service was friendly. That's the reason for the additional two stars. In sum, it's a place that has all the elements but hasn't fine-tuned them. My advice to the establishment would be to focus on customer experience, from entrance to exit, and make sure the value is there to justify the expense. Recommended, with caveats. read more

Poutine and drinks on a sunny Saturday? Yes! Stopped by here trying to avoid the market crowd and was seated immediately. We ordered whiskey sours and the chicken poutine, both of which were great. I'm not a whiskey person, but the drink was palatable and a pretty decent alternative to Moscow Mules, which are my favorite. Would definitely recommend the poutine. Given the fact that there is a generous pour of gravy over the fries, the fries were still crispy and perfectly cooked so as not to be too soft or too hard, if that makes sense. This was a little spot on the recommendation list from the hotel I was staying at and I am glad I went. I was on a solo trip so the exploring was savored and the menus were intentional. I walked from my hotel and the happy hour menu looked awesome - it was amazing weather so I was able to sit outside on the patio and read a book. I did get a flight cocktail and an appetizer and the BLT to keep me comfy during my book. I let the server pick the cocktails and they were amazing. The BLT was perfection - and I had 2 on this trip. This is what downtown needed! Juxt is a great spot with a good menu and even better cocktails! The space is large, and they have a private party room in the back. My only gripe is it needs more art/ decor inside, with tall ceiling, the walls seem quite bare. The cocktail flight is around $25 and you get several tasters included, which I think is a great deal. Whichever brilliant individual had the idea to have cocktails on draft should be knighted. Further, whoever thought to offer draft cocktails in a flight should be sainted. And JUXT should be your new hangout, because they do both those things, and the drinks are to die for. I went here with a friend to thank her for fixing my dog's leash - long story, but I definitely owed her one after she repaired it. For $15 you can pick four cocktails that come in a much-larger-than-normal taster, so we each had four. Because drinking on an empty stomach is a poor idea, we also got the shredded poutine with mushrooms and the gochujang wings. The poutine came out steaming and had gigantic cheese curds on it - heaven. The wings, while sliiiightly spendy for 6 of them, had straight up real gochujang on them, which was a pleasant surprise. The paloma competes with the likes of others around town (coughrockandryecough) and the bitter drink with beer in it was super interesting. Between the two of us, we tried seven different drinks and couldn't pick a favorite....they were all tremendous. It's a great space, and I'm hoping they are going to do well. My first clue was seeing that the BLT was made with Breadfarm Sourdough, but the true review was in the product- this was the perfect slow food BLT. Wonderful fish tacos!! Pretty simple blackened Ling Cod with cotija and Pico in corn Tortillas. The fish is super fresh. Served with great tasting chips and Pico. In our continuing exploration of places to watch NFL playoff games, we landed here and enjoyed the afternoon (well, except for the game outcome!). Plenty of TVs to see from tables or the bar. Decent choice of beers and two good ciders on tap. Token wines by the glass, but as expected in a taphouse. Since we were there for awhile, I decided to savor the cocktail flight. This is a fun way to see what they offer on tap in the cocktail department. They did not taste like pre-made drinks, but had nice fresh flavor and legit amount of stated alcohol. Besides the heartier pub style/comfort food, it's nice to have lighter options. The fish tacos were good, but a little under seasoned to my taste. I was happy with the large chunks of nice grilled (not fried) fish and the grilled corn added good flavor and texture. Our servers took good care of us, and easily split a bill after the fact after a friend joined us. The main room is pleasant, if nondescript, spacious and has large windows for those of us who love people watching. If you're looking for a vegetarian friendly place this is it! Amazing food, friendly service and tasty beer. After a long day exploring we ordered the mushroom poutine, rabe tacos and falafel pita, too much food for two people, but we just scrambled the poutine leftovers with eggs, and tossed on some leftover salad.
