i feel bad writing this but i was not very happy with this place. they took way longer than expected for my car. i think about 2 extra days. the day my car was supposed to get back to me they called saying while test driving my car- a woman rear ended them and they now were chasing her down the 5. bruh my luck. when they gave the car back to me there wasn't damage because i had a u haul hitch that thankfully blocked it. but the gas was completely drained and the ac was broke, mind you it was there for an engine issue.. so i had to take it back because i guess they messed up a wire. and then a month later the ac stopped working completely?? when that car has had the best ac forever, until i took it here. i feel like i should have gotten a better discount since they held my car longer than expected, got it rear ended, chased the woman down the 5, returned it with a drop of gas, and then broke the ac. edit: the reason the car was delayed was because they accidentally punctured my radiator! also this absolutely did happen i can provide proof if anyone needs read more

We previously had quite a bit of work done on an older Toyota and the work was done perfectly. Recently, I had an issue with my Mazda 6 after the Hello Mazda dealership told me I needed new wiper blades which I paid for. Less than 6 months later they were broken. Turns out the dealership sold me defective wipers so I took the car to One Way to ask them. Noe ordered replacement wiper blades which were delivered in less than 2 hours and installed. Also, my driver's side visor broke loose and the dealership told me they'd charge me $240 just to diagnose the issue! Noe found the screw that had broken loose and put the visor back on at no charge!! Now that's what I call service! Great, honest mechanics and people. Overall, they aren't going to be fast but they do a good, honest, thorough job, which is more preferred anyways because everyone needs their car to be reliable. They are honest brokers and will not suggest any work that doesn't make sense or push for something just to make a buck. They've been so good to me that now my partner goes as well. They were able to handle 2 emergency issues where we could not drive our cars if they didn't fix it last minute. They understand and do what they can! I needed a part replaced and a smog a few days before Christmas, and I needed it done same day, and Chris and his staff were so nice and helped me get it all done in an hour. Called to book an appt for a smog- guy on the phone was nice, told me when to come in and told me the prices clearly on the phone. When I arrived it was kind of awkward as the parking lot is shared with the gas station- lots of cars everywhere, no clear signage on where to park or sign to check in. One younger guy was working on a car and I had to interrupt him to ask where to check in and he told me something like we will get to you shortly.. A friendly older gentleman came out with a smile to check my reservation and grabbed my info. Said it would take 10-15 mins. Grabbed a coffee at McDonalds across the street & returned. I have a 1989 RV built on a Ford van chassis. I needed some serious mechanical work. (Catalytic converter was clogged.) I didn't want to use an RV shop, as the last one I used left me feeling less than positive. So I was calling around to find someone who could diagnose and repair the issues I was having without having to refer me to another shop for some of the work. I also needed to find a shop willing to work on a 34 year old Ford van. I also needed to find a shop that could fit a small (21') RV. I was referred to these guys from another website. So I called them, and they said they could do the work. Well, I'm on the second day of a road trip, and the rig is driving as if it never had a problem. I've also used them for smog checks on my Subaru Forester. I get a very good feeling from these guys. And they have a reputation for even telling you if another shop is trying to oversell you. I worked with Noe, but Chris was an active person on this job also. And the entire crew are very good and friendly people. (They even were able to drive me home and pick me up when the work was done. Not too many places still do that, they'll rely on a rideshare service instead if at all.) Overall, I am very pleased - and feel I have found my new go-to repair shop for both my vehicles. In addition to his kind and professional demeanor, he's always 100% honest and fair. Having gone to them a few years now I have had some shady experiences over the last 2 years. I explained them to Chris and gave them another chance at least 2 times. No more. You just lost a regular. The first was an oil leak a couple years ago. They insisted on power washing my car engine to find the leak for like $150 ish OK so I did it. They tell me it's an oil pan for $675ish. Well I did not have the money for that at all so I kept putting oil in it then the leak got really bad I came up with the money and wanted to get in right away ( I was driving for Uber at the time so it was my bread and butter). They could not get me in for several days so on a friends recommendation I saw her mechanic at Advantec. Turns out it was not the oil pan AT ALL it was a plug or valve at the top and was very clear to the mechanic immediately thanks to the power wash. That only cost me $125 out the door I was super stoked to have saved HUNDREDS of dollars. Well i planned on never going back after that but as luck had it my check engine light came on and I lived a few blocks away so I had them check it. Chris asked where I had been I had an appointment before for the pan which I failed. I told him it did not need a oil pan and about Advantecs finding. He apologized and claimed they would have caught it before they did the work. OK so maybe it was a mistake maybe it wasn't. I decided to give them another shot because Advantec is not conveniently located and is very busy now (they got very popular on yelp) and I am forgiving. Plus Chris has a way of making you feel like you can trust them. So they did my brakes because they were shaking when I stepped on them. Within less than a year the brakes were shaking again. Mind you I did not Uber that long in fact I barely used the car so they should have lasted WAY longer than that. Recently I needed a thermostat my gage was on cold and not moving. So one guy quotes me $150. We arrange a date well in advance said they would order the part and if I drop it off at 8 it will be ready at 12. I dropped it off at 8 on the arranged date. WELP they NEVER ordered the part and called me at 12 (which i thought was to tell me the car was ready) Instead of telling me it' ready they say OK well it's your thermostat and your estimate is almost $400. I was like "WHAT? What the hell are you talking about I already got an estimate for $150 is my car ready?" He stated they never even started it because they had to diagnose it for $150 or some HUGE amount (part of that was in that $395 estimate now) and said it needed something else with the thermostat stating they go out usually at the same time. I said 'Is mine broken?' He says 'NO' I say 'well WHY would I replace it then?' I also informed him the other guy 4 days earlier already LOOKED at it and we all knew it needed a thermostat so why the hell are they diagnosing it (and charging me) and asked where was the part they supposedly pre-ordered? They said they sent that part back they did not know who it was for. (WTF) So now I am livid. They agree to do JUST my thermostat for like $175 and not charge for the unauthorized or needed diagnosis. They also said that was not my part they sent back and it was a miscommunication (which happens a lot here btw) they just never ordered it. Bottom line they tried to sell me on shit I did not need and did a total bait and switch. I also wasted an entire day off waiting for my car to be done when it should have been ready at 12. So NOW I need a radiator. They just quoted me $567. I called a radiator shop thinking maybe they would be better equipped to deal with it and less expensive. The first shop quoted $467. BETTER but still really expensive IMO. The next place I called it was $318 out the door. SOLD Oh hey BY THE WAY cancel my appointment on FRIDAY guys, it's already getting DONE for $250 cheaper and a lifetime guarantee. Not sure what the hell happened with these guys but they are not looking ethical in my eyes. read more

The worst place ever! My car has been here since June. 6 months! First they told me they were ordering parts and it would take 2 weeks. After one month I called again and they said two more weeks. After two months I called and they said it's not ready because they had to reorder the parts. After four months they said the guy repairing my car is out having stomach surgery. They told me the car would definitely be ready in November. I was very patient and understanding even though I've been living without a car this whole time. This morning I decide to show up to the shop because it's the end of November and I see my car, filthy with flat tires. It hasn't even been worked on. The guy in charge tells me the guy who is repairing my car broke his ribs. I was very upset. He then proceeds to tell me they still need to order parts. I ask for the car key and they tell me they don't have it on site. At this point I'm in tears and I ask them when the car will be ready. The man tells me he has no idea. After 6 months of leading me on and constantly telling me the car would be ready in 2 weeks. My car is still there. I don't even know how this shop has business. I asked the guy in charge if he treated all his customers this way and he didn't even care. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Not even my worst enemy! read more

I went to go and get my brake system fixed, and received an estimate of $600. I left my car at the mechanic, then received a call the next day that the actual price was looking more like $1100 due to some other parts that needed to be fixed. Having already paid a $60 inspection fee, I agreed and let the repair go on. After getting notified that the job was finished, the mechanic asked if I wanted to get an oil change that would be "included for free" with the initial brake job since my oil levels were low, to which I agreed. He also changed the air filter in my car "for free", which was done without asking me. When I received the bill, I found that the brake job itself actually did not cost $1100. Rather, the cost of the un-needed new airfilter and oil change that was added to the bill raised the price up to the $1100 estimate from what should have been a much cheaper project. The "free" pieces and work were actually not free, and were implemented as a cost to match the overpriced estimate that was initially provided. At this point, I began to drive away believing that the job had been fixed when I noticed that the brake pedal wasn't engaging properly. I returned to the auto store and informed the lead mechanic, who tried to shoo me away saying the car was fine. After insisting that it was still not braking, he finally told me to leave the car for another test drive tomorrow by his mechanic and that he would run a brake flush through the system to see if the problem was an air pocket in the hydraulics (This brake flush should have already been done with the initial brake job, AND was something that was included in the original bill that I received). The next day before the brake flush, the mechanic's second test drive concluded that in fact there was a problem with the brake pedal system (go figure), but that now it was ANOTHER piece that needed to be bought and fixed, not a performed brake flush. That job was estimated to cost another $350. I insisted that the brake flush be done before that continues, and that I would return to get the car later that day. At this point, my car had been sitting in the mechanic's store for two entire days waiting for a test drive and brake flush process that should've taken a maximum of 1 hour. When I went to get my car back the second time, the mechanic reversed my car and ran straight into a swamp cooler while pulling out of the garage. Obviously frustrated, I pointed out the fact that my car had just been driven straight into a box, a situation at which the store mechanics dismissed and just ignored as they continued with the amount of new parts that I needed to buy. The mechanics now said that there were 5 other parts that needed immediate attention to be fixed in my car or I wouldn't be able to drive it out of the lot: including the engine, master cylinder, front brakes, transmission fluid, and battery. I told them I wanted to drive my car first to see if the brakes were working, at which point they pushed me to urgently agree to a fix of the master cylinder, offering a $50 discount on the original price estimate for the new $350 piece (to $300) if I agreed to the fix at that exact moment. I told them I wanted to get in my car to drive it first, and it drove absolutely perfect with no issues in the braking system now that the brake flush had been performed. Everything else continued to drive fine. When I got home, I noticed that the wires underneath my glove box were left out in the open as well as all my personal documents that were inside of the glove box thrown everywhere across the shotgun seat. So I had to go back a third time for them to return the wires back into the glove box and ask why my personal documents were thrown all over the place. These people are not trustworthy people. They will try to tell you that you need to fix parts that don't need to be fixed, even when they clearly know there is a better alternative. IF all of these parts really needed fixing, they should've told me to just buy a new car. DO NOT GO HERE! read more
