Seriously, if you want to get kicked out during your stay for an sudden excuse like "sorry we are busy today so you can only stay for 2 hours now you should leave", I would definitely recommend this place. I wonder if there is anybody there knows how to talk to customers properly. Without an inform in advance, we felt uncomfortable to get kicked out suddenly and only tipped 12%. She literally came back without a single smile and said coldly "this is not enough, you should've doubled the tax!" My friend said "Because we don't feel content!" Anyway, we still added to "double the tax". Five minutes later, a guy looked like manager came over and asked us to leave immediately. We told him that the waitress said we could finish the food we ordered before we left. This crazy guy just yelled at us "You must leave now! Other people are waiting for this room! This is my second time here and experience was not so great. The karaoke rooms are congested with the smell of cigarettes (this is the case both times). The up-side about here is that the food was included in the price of rooms which is fairly priced and conveniently nearby. However, today, when I was here with a party of 4 and paying the bill with 15% tip, the waiter said I had to pay 20% tip because it was past 9pm. I did not see a sign stating a mandatory 20% for staying past 9pm. Also, my friend who has been here quite often said she never knew of this 20% tipping requirement. To be honest, we didn't call for service too often-- just to get water and tea, so not sure why we need to give 20% tip and for party of 4 at that. read more

I give this place 2 stars only because their food was good and that's all. I was invited to a party there and I was excited I love karaoke especially with friends. I walked in it was clean and quiet and one lady standing behind the bar. I inquired about the party I was attending she had no idea what I was talking about. I could understand if the place was packed and there was a lot going on than maybe I would understand her confusion. I said ok may I see a drink menu she handed me a menu and I ordered 2 drinks. When I said the name of the drink she had no idea what I was talking about. I had to open the menu and point at the drink. Before she would even start making my drinks she handed me my bill so that I would pay. Whoa!.. usually at a bar you get the drink first than you pay. So as I'm looking at my receipt I noticed I was charged a dollar extra per drink on top of tax. The tax was fine when I questioned her about the price she told me this was an old menu. Why would you hand a customer a menu with outdated prices? On top of that the prices on the website are also outdated. She looks at me with a blank stare and turns around and hands me a new updated menu and brought the manager with her. The manager came over and apologized for her unprofessional behavior. So I finally start to see people from my party arrive and they knew exactly which party room we were in. We had a big room upstairs with about 20 people. The room came with a private server who was supposed to take our orders and set up the screen for our karaoke. No one came to show us how to work the system and we ended up spending over 30 mins trying to figure it out. So now the server finally comes up stairs and takes several orders and comes back with one drink at a time. I inquired about my beverage and he said yeah yeah yeah coming. 20 minutes later still no drink. What everyone from my party ended up doing was going downstairs to the bar and ordering drinks and also inquiring about the whereabouts of our server. We spent a lot of money in the establishment and ended paying for an extra hour due to us starting late. Customer service was horrible. The only reason I had a semi good time was because of my party and not because of the establishment. My new favorite place for karaoke in all of New York. Great selection of music in both Chinese and English (they have other languages but not sure how good the selection is). Yeah, the English music is completely unorganized, but if you're creative and have patience, you can find the songs. Equipment was pretty new and good quality. Food was decent..fried oysters were the best but some of the other stuff was a little weak. Drinks were pretty good as well. Pricewise, it is awesome because you pay by room, so you can shove as many people as you want in a room to save money. Also, whatever amount of money you spend for the room, you get that amount of money on your tab to spend on food and drink. So it's almost like you're eating and drinking for free! It is great singing k here the price is great and you get food and drinks that comes with the room credit. Plus they are adding more rooms and extra pool tables next door that will be opening soon which would make it less crowded during the weekends. That is extremely rude, especially since they didn't specify that there is a time limit. Also, the mic's are constantly out of batteries and the song selections are rarely updated. Once again I was disappointed with this place last night. When we got to the room, the system (audio) didn't work. The staff came to fixed it, it seems that the cable was not connected properly. Then one of the mic was not working either. It was not the first time that I visit and the mic was not working . The staff came and exchange to another one. I had to call them three times to lower the temperature, the third time the staff closed the AC vents which was good. I ordered some drinks and food. In the beginning they forgot to bring the fish balls until I called and asked the staff if they forgot about bringing the fish balls and it seems like they did forgot and brought it later. Different staffs came to serve our room, they weren't friendly nor rude, just a serious face. The bathroom is always dirty. Someone vomited in the toilet and did not flush it. The staffs should check the bathroom more frequently and clean it. We stayed there for 3 hours, based on the fact that the room was not ready, the bathroom was dirty, the staffs' mistake and serious face, I gave 16% tip. Then the staff had the nerve to come back to us saying that the tip we gave them was not enough and they needed to collect 20%. If they want to collect more tip at least check with their colleagues if they had offered a good service or not. It was someone birthday, I was in good mood so I agreed to give the 20% tip. If the manager is reading this, you should know that tip is not mandatory by law in NY. Your establishment did not offered a excellent service. Pros- This place is much larger than I thought it was. I like the design, it's a nice alternative for the area- with a sleek interior, comfy bar stools and enough neon lighting to keep it trendy but not too cheesy. The bar is large and has some good cocktails, moderately priced and not watered down. There are tons of staff around, so *service* is fast and organized. Prices for food and karaoke are rather cheap. Cons- While the service in house is fast, the people making reservations either need English lessons or are straight-up lying to people to get them in the door. As I said, they are priced reasonably but they aren't clear about their pricing when you make a reservation. Further, their way of doing business is odd- if you are doing a room package you have to pay at the beginning?? Maybe they just did that for us, but I thought it was odd, and rude to say "Your total is $XXX.XX and you have to pay right now." Not the warmest start to the evening. The number of hours we reserved was changed when we got there because they had too many reservations, etc. From what the rest of the party said, it had happened to them before as well so it was not just a fluke. The karaoke selection is mediocre and while the touch screens are modern, it is not as convenient as having a book to look through and using a remote (from anywhere in the room) to enter songs, as opposed to going to the screen to search for and enter your selection. I am definitely going to go back since it is close and not too expensive. Just be weary about what you are reserving because it most likely will not be what you actually get and it looks like people were getting their time cut short bc they were busy. The staff tried to scheme my friends and I into an 80% tip? That's the first and only thing they say to us upon arrival in the karaoke room.
