We've been wanting to try this place since it opened, but we had heard mixed reviews on whether it was worth the drive and the expense. ("Average food, above average prices" is mostly what we've heard.) Since they were participating in the Flavor PB Summer Menu, we decided to give it a try. Aside from the construction on the bridge, which may take 3 years to complete, the view is gorgeous. The perfect spot to bring out of towners. The interior of the restaurant itself is impeccable and equally as beautiful. We were seated right away. Our server was attentive and not overbearing, the wait staff served exactly as you'd expect from a fine dining restaurant. Very well executed. Lovely and extensive wine list. We decided to start with the tuna appetizer and the she crab soup. Both were tasty. Nice lumps of crabmeat in the soup. The tuna was a small portion but still flavorful. I had the petite filet and my husband had the Dover sole. While both were good and decent enough, neither were worthy of the $70+ price tag, definitely paying for the name and atmosphere. My steak was cooked well, just lacked flavor. The fish was also fresh but bland. The truffle fries were the best thing we ate. Lots of young people and it got busier as the night went on. We would love to come back for a sunset happy hour but probably not another dinner. read more

Everyone knows they are supposed to be the swankiest and most expensive, and that was OK. What wasn't OK with me, is that they removed the original interior design on the patio, got rid of the beautiful sofas, all the REAL ambiance and added a bunch of regular tables. This just destroyed the entire look of the place and took it down about ten notches out of its "Swankiness" It is just another boring overpriced tourist trap on the water now. SAD read more

We went to this Beautiful restaurant recently and we were very disappointed in the food. The guys had expensive steaks that were just ok and I had the artichoke appetizer that was burnt could barely eat the artichoke and the crab cake I had, had filler and was very dry I had to ask for an aioli dip. For the price it should be all lump. I've had way better. The bar there is beautiful I'd definitely go back for drinks not dinner. read more

Went for an early dinner last evening. Setting is beautiful on the intercoastal. Ate at the outside bar. Service was good but the prices are ridiculous. $24 for a small burger. $34 for a very small piece of grilled octopus. No thank you. Who the hell is giving this place 5 stars??? OMG, so ridiculously overpriced and the attitude from bartenders is insane. I had to point out to the bartender that there was 1/2 inch thick of dust on the bar light in front of my face. He cleaned it off, but this guy was full of attitude, absolutely insane. Go down the road to the Breakers HMF which is a serious high end establishment. Michael Jordan should be ashamed of himself with this crap. What a complete joke. read more

There is no denying that the restaurant is in a great spot and it has been designed very nicely. The plates dishes, etc are all very appealing. The greeting from the hosts are somewhat lukewarm so when the check came the total much higher than other local likewise in quality restaurants. Overpriced and over-rated. Between 3 PM and 5.30 PM there is very limited food - certainly nothing for me. A glass of champagne is $15. Our bar tab for 3 of us was over $150 and we had a small snack. Bar tender seemed tip-hungry, mentioning that she came to work here because she wasn't making enough at Tommy Bahamas... hardly the conversation we want. I will try again for dinner or lunch because we liked the dark, cozy bar. Perhaps the outside bar is better and perhaps the staff will realize good tips come with suiting the client. read more

We made a reservation for 8 pm. We were running a few minutes late. The restaurant called and we confirmed we were on our way. On arrival we were told they were setting up a table. I tracked down the manager thirty minutes later who told me we shouldn't have been late. An hour and fifteen minutes later we left without eating. The setting is quite beautiful, as are the people. I saw no one frowning here. The bar is a great place to catch a cocktail and watch the boats drift by. There are plenty of places to dine, whether tucked away in the bar by yourself or for two or enjoying a romantic dinner or just meeting up with friends. The service is impeccable as is the quality of the food and drink. All this comes at a price, but well worth the occasion. A few of us started off with the wedge salad (a meal in itself) which is so uniquely and beautifully presented and quite delicious. As an entree I had the BBQ Ahi Tuna, cooked to perfection and topped with a few fried oysters (a very tasty and unexpected surprise). I also had to try the Truffle salted fries (quite yummy) as a side for the table and there was plenty to go around. The portions are generous and the staff goes out of their way to please. Don't expect anyone to say the phrase, "no-- we can't do that", here. Next time, I think we will arrive by boat.... read more

We arrived at the restaurant without a reservation, and it was packed so we were worried we'd have to wait long for a seat. However within 10 minutes a wonderful waitress named Heather was able to get us a great table outside on the patio. The surroundings were beautiful and we had a nice view of the lighthouse. Heather did a great job of describing the menu and steered us toward some great options. We had wine, cocktails, the hay roasted oysters, the baby gem and street corn Caesar salads, and the Chilean sea bass - a special that night. Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable. Went for the summer lunch special. While the food was 'okay' at best, the service was terrible. Two of us had the cheeseburger and fries, one had Pad Thai and one had the fish tacos. Even after asking if the Pad Thai was spicy, and told no, it was way too hot. The fish tacos had little in the way of fish, and one of the burgers was over cooked. We Werte drinking non alcoholic drinks. We were brought more drinks but the empty glasses weren't picked up. The same is try with the appetizer plates, the main course dishes, prior to desert. We are just back from an amazing lunch at 1000 North, partaking in their Flavor of Palm Beach special $25 lunch menu. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with walls of glass windows overlooking the Jupiter Inlet, with seating both inside and outside. We chose to eat inside and the decor was exquisite. You could tell all materials were high-end and elegant. After being greeted by the hostess, we were brought to our table which was set with the most beautiful hand blown glass votives I've seen. We ordered a round of drinks. Bloody Mary's, Dirty Martinis and I had one of their specialty drinks, the Pina Punch. Yum! Our server, Tammy was so attentive and knowledgeable. She was conversational without being obtrusive. It was immediately evident that front of the house, the kitchen and management worked seamlessly together. For appetizers, 3 had the most amazing looking soup of the day. All said it was delicious, even proclaiming the best they ever had. Meryl had the Farmers Market salad, which was a meal in itself. I had the prawn cocktail which featured 3 huge shrimp on a bed of ice and homemade cocktail sauce with freshly grated horseradish. It was perfection. For our entrees 2 had the cheeseburger, 2 had the fish of the day (mahi mahi), and the last of us ordered the Pad Thai. Not only with meals visually appealing they tasted so delicious we could barely keep from sticking our forks in each other's plates to try everything. Dessert was a choice of a beautiful tres leches cake or raspberry elderflower sorbet on a bed of fresh raspberries, blueberries and blackberries with tiny raspberry meringues for crunch. It was in the to five desserts I've ever had. Also included were coffee tea and soft drinks. Check our their iced tea service in the photos. Brilliant!Two points I wanted to make, the service from valet to busboy was well trained and exceptional while dealing with customers. Secondly there were two minor problems with our lunch. In the first instance when clearing the appetizers, our server dropped an avocado leaf in Lori's drink. Lori's told her not to worry about it, but a few minutes later she showed up with a brand new martini even though Lori's was basically finished. We were all shocked that she would make this gesture and bring this new drink without Lori even asking for it to be replaced. Secondly, my medium cheeseburger was more like medium well to well so they took it back to re-cook. No big deal. Well it was a big deal to them because the manager came over and apologized for the error and paid for all of our drinks. We never complained, we never asked for any sort of compensation. The fact that he would do this, without anybody expressing any iota of displeasure of concern is a testament to the management team there. I highly recommend that you try this restaurant especially for the incredible flavor of Palm Beach menu which is offered at lunch Thursday, Friday, &Saturday. read more

Not at all what I expected. The bar was very nice with a great atmosphere and nice music. We were seated outside and it was very hot humid, the air conditioner was not making its way to our table. Due to the construction on the bridges the view was of barges & cranes. I had the rock shrimp risotto and the shrimp were so tiny, the dish had way too many ingredients that it wasn't enjoyable at all. The lava cake was the best part. The emperor has no clothes! When a restaurant is touted or touts itself as the best and finest for steak, dining and service, the bar is set high. If one is bold enough to charge five dollars an oyster for barbecued oysters which really amounted to a little more than oyster shells with a bunch of breadcrumbs, one should rethink that menu item. Novel, yes. Delicious, no. But the service can be impeccable and we had excellent attention from ordering drinks and wine to explaining the menu and taking our order. Unfortunately when our main courses arrived we had no one to speak with for 10 minutes while our food, which was served lukewarm at best, was festering on our plates. Once we made our waitress aware, she brought it back to the kitchen professionally and returned it slightly warmer and more cooked. It was handled, but certainly not with the efficiency that it could have been. If Our waitress was otherwise occupied there's certainly plenty of staff there to make sure our meal was cooked Appropriately. The food was good, not great and as expensive as you'll find. We had two desserts ($39 worth) Including the colossal Sundae but really unimpressive. Nice atmosphere. Good crowd. Overpriced good, not great food. read more

Maybe I went on a bad day but I really hated 1000 North. There is one good thing about 1000 North and it's the view. That's it. That's where the good ends. And I suppose most of the restaurant does not afford a diner the good view. The restaurant itself is not bad looking but it looks like a chain food place not a mid-to high end restaurant. There is nothing special about the interior. Service was fine in a going through the motions kind of way. The food here was beyond bad and I think it set a culinary low for northern Palm Beach. I went for brunch and maybe brunch just isn't their thing but it was a shameful display of bad cooking. I honestly can say I was served the lousiest potato pancake I have ever had. This place is good but I probably won't return. It is not my style, and it is very overpriced for what you get. I gave it a four-star because food was fresh and customer service was great. I had the scallops which were good and my husband had a steak, which was a little fibrous and hard. The cocktails were also really good.
