Acclaim Garage Doors was the first company I called and oh my goodness, they did not disappoint! Michael (the owner) was extremely pleasant and professional on the phone and he was actually able to diagnose the problem over the phone, which was my garage door had a broken spring. He was able to get me on his schedule that same day and his repairman (also named Michael!) showed up right on time and had the garage door springs replaced in about half an hour. Michael warrantied the repair work for 3 years and they also sprayed some lubricant on the spring and on other parts of the garage door. They also gave me a can of garage door lubricant for free. There are many companies out there on Yelp, all providing similar services, be it landscaping, electricians, or garage door repair. What sets the great companies apart is outstanding and superior customer service. I could tell just from the way Michael was on our phone call and his demeanor that his company would do a good job and he was very pleasant and friendly. Sometimes when you call companies on Yelp, you sometimes get people who are very abrupt or even rude. Not the case with Michael or Acclaim Garage Doors. I was actually worried the entire garage door opener would need to be replaced, but he was very quick to tell me that Liftmaster Garage Door Openers were pretty solid products and they tended to last for several years. That is when he told me to go into the garage to check the springs and it did turn out to be a broken spring. Michael and his team were very punctual with the repair (showed up exactly on time, and also texted me to let me know they were on their way), and Michael did an outstanding repair job. I would not hesitate for a second to hire Acclaim Garage Doors for any future repairs and I highly highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed!

He didn't even charge us for the initial inspection and gave us time to think about what we wanted to do. We ended up opting for the more expensive option. Sucks to do this during the Holidays but we ended up with a great deal. It took them a couple of hours to install it and he came back the next day (had to find the right paint color for the door) to paint the door. We're really happy with our new door and it runs so much quieter than our old door! Tom was great to work with and I felt like he was honest about our garage door malfunctioning and how to fix it. Our only problem was on both days he ran late (understandably so in his industry) and didn't call. It didn't bother me enough to "deduct points" but I usually like to know what's going on when I've given up my day to wait for someone. My invoice is dated May 26, 2021 and there has not been any follow from this company. I have tried three times to leave messages in the past two weeks and no one has ever returned my calls or made an appointment to finish the job that was promised back at the end of May.
