This place was great! The vibes are nice, with tropical music, nice furniture, and decorations. Our waitress was kind and attentive; I ordered some birria tacos which I definitely enjoyed and would recommend! We also had dessert, tres leches and vanilla flan; both were sweet enough but not in excess. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

Googled a quick spot I could drop in to get me a quick lunch while I was in the area and 202 Kitchen came up. The restaurant is easily accessible with plenty of free packing. Upon entry there was a nice Spanish vibe going on with the music. Esthetically, it was very pleasing and nicely set up and decorated. I was greeted and seated promptly. Drinks upon sitting. Looked at the menu and decided to try the grits. The shrimp were succulent and the grits had a nice kick. The only thing I would have wanted added would be cheese. Overall my experience and the food were amazing. It's definitely worth the stop. PS....They serve breakfast, brunch lunch, & dinner all day.

I have NEVER had a bad meal here. I absolutely love Melody (our waitress). This place is highly underrated. They have events every weekend as well as live music!!! The French toast is to die for! Don't even get me started on their fried chicken!! Whew! This place is hands down a great place to stop and grab a meal.

The shrimp and grits were ridiculously spicy. Super spicy - shrimp and grits- only flavor is hot! Nice portion size but so spicy I can't even enjoy.

Philly Cheesesteak. Split in half. Delish. Great textured seasoned fries!

We came here for lunch, so it wasn't crowded in this spacious, pretty restaurant. Great service and excellent food. I loved my Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. The fries were especially delicious with a unique texture. Wasn't sure if that means twice fried but nevertheless really made this meal. Lots of parking. Would come back for dinner to check out the evening vibe.

We've enjoyed going to 101 Kitchen. It has a great vibe and great music. My go-to lunch/dinner item is the 101 burger. My husband loves the Argentine Churrasco, it comes with a beautiful salad. The kiddo gets chicken tenders and French fries- more delicious items. There is a bar where you can enjoy a good drink menu. It looks like there's a set up for live music. Definitely a great place to bring friends/family.

I saw this restaurant on social media. I had to try it. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. The table we were sat at had dishes on it but the waitress said it was clean. I moved the condiments and my fingers got syrup on them. The table was still sticky. Obviously it was not clean. The waitress wiped it and offered another table. We said it was okay. We ordered our food. I ordered the peaches & waffle. The menu said candied peaches, cinnamon sugar something, I believe it was pecans, whip cream & waffle. Nope. I got canned peaches on top of a waffle. The waffle itself was good. Another ordered grits and they looked old, like mashed potatoes. Very clumpy. Another person ordered the chicken Parmesan sandwich. Her bread was soggy and chicken was slightly salty. The home fries were good.

Enjoyed a chicken parm sub for lunch. The place was nearly empty so was surprised how long it took to cook. Menu was extensive. Liked that we had table service and were not rushed to finish.

I love the vibe as soon as you walk in. The place is decorated very chic. You can take a nice picture with their decor as the background. I LOVED the food. It was hot and flavored well. The portion sizes are great and shareable if you aren't a heavy eater. The service was great and they have great jelly! I definitely recommend coming here. The price is worth the value and you will enjoy this. I came from out of town and would definitely want to come back if I'm in the area again.

While in the Raleigh area for the weekend, we were looking for a good place to eat and found 101 Kitchen which seemed to be a local favorite. Thankfully, we were able to be seated right away since we were starving. I absolutely loved the decor at this restaurant. It was set up beautifully with all the different mirrors on the wall and the super cute flower backdrop area. Our waitress came over right away once we were seated and described the food as Latin-inspired which made me very excited. After looking over the menu it was hard to decide on what to eat since they serve Brunch all day and serve Lunch until 9pm but I decided on Kevin's Grilled Chicken Sandwich, which was a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon jam (yes, bacon jam), cheese and veggies on a ciabatta roll. The sandwich was absolutely amazing!!! The chicken was moist and flavorful, the bacon jam was delicious and the ciabatta roll was super soft. I highly recommend this restaurant for those either in the Raleigh area or planning to visit. I loved the different food items on the menu and they even have live music on certain nights. The staff was very friendly as well. Definitely check them out if you can!

I called ahead the day before for a reservation. I arrived and it wasn't busy. The restaurant has a nice mirror decor throughout. The restaurant is well-lit and has comfortable seating. I wasn't welcomed upon entrance. I didn't see a host station. I saw my party already seated and I joined the table. I ordered the whiskey sour and the Eggcellent Pork Bowl. The cocktail was decent. There was puréed orange of some sort in it that I wasn't in love with. The orange bits made it difficult to drink because it kept getting stuck in the straw. The menu referenced the Eggcellent Pork Bowl came with crispy tortillas, with zesty salsa verde, topped with savory 101 pork belly, queso fresco, sour cream, garlic aioli, white onion, cilantro, and crowned with a perfectly fried egg. Very sauce heavy with very little pork belly. May as well not even mention 101 pork belly for the dish. For this to be a signature dish I expected better. What little pork belly was provided in this dish was all fatty meat. A disappointment for me. I love pork belly. A stretch from being the breakfast fiesta described on the menu. It arrived at the table cold and the chips were dissolving into the dish. There was a good flavor but overall I left unsatisfied. I did not enjoy this. The chips should be served on the side. Customer service was average. Nothing here to write home about. I don't know when I will return.

101 kitchen is delicious! I love the Latin fusion food. They have such a large menu I know everyone will find something they want to eat. From breakfast items like French toast to chilaquiles! From chicken tenders to salmon salad! Something for everyone of all ages! I got the chilaquiles but they used verde sauce and the fried pork belly. They fried pork belly softens in the sauce. So if you're like me and like it crispy ask them to put it on top or on the side. The portions are great. The staff and owner were wonderful. I love the decor of the place and there is a nice back drop for pictures.

101 kitchen opened approximately 3 months ago in Knightdale. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza with multiple other business that share the parking lot. The restaurant is spacious with tables & booths inside. We were greeted once we entered. Our server was friendly & helpful. Currently breakfast, brunch, and drink menu items are offered. We were advised that the restaurant would be expanding their hours and menu soon. Complimentary bread was given to us prior to getting our meals. My friend ordered the shrimp and grits and enjoyed it. An adequate portion size was provided. I got the chicken biscuit with potatoes. My food was served hot and was seasoned well. Two biscuits with multiple large pieces of chicken were provided. I had enough food for leftovers later. The dish is supposed to be topped with spicy honey but I opted to get the honey on the side. It was unique and tasted good. My only issue with my dish was that the bottom of one of my biscuits was over cooked. I was impressed with the food and service at 101 kitchen. I will definitely be back!

We were sat in the back of the restaurant and felt tucked away, but this didn't hinder service in the slightest. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. He knew the menu and had a confident answer to every question. Before being sat at our table, we grabbed a drink at the bar and asked the bartender about the menu. There was a woman who took special time to explain what the menu items were and how they differed from your usual "chicken or beef etc". Which was not only informative, but interesting too. Onto the star of the show, the meal. We ordered the bison & farro and the poulet rouge carbonara. Both of these dishes were phenomenal. I've never had a culinary experience even close to this one. These are meals you think about for the rest of your life. The textures and flavors together resulted in an exquisite explosion of harmony. The kitchen staff put their heart and soul into these dishes and it is obvious! I cannot wait for my next visit.

Anyway, Was shown to my table, a male server showed up, lit the candle, and I didn't see anyone for 18 minutes while two tables around me were greeted, cleared the table of extra dishes not needed and was served water, and their plates for the dinner buffet. The server that lit the candle, came back, asked if my server showed up. Uh, no. Finally, a woman server came by, went to the other table. Can't make this up. Then she realized they were being taken care of. She finally made it to me. I informed her I was dining alone, she cleared extra dishes, asked if I needed salt or pepper. Interesting question considering I didn't have any food. She filled my water glass, then brought my plate, as it was a dinner buffet night. Their first dinner buffet. No excuse for the poor service, though. Make me feel important, valued whether dining alone or with a group, please. The buffet had a great variety of proteins and sides. A couple of beef strip choices, shredded chicken, crisp tortillas to build your own nachos for the kids, fried catfish, fried chicken patty, salmon, swordfish, all cut into small portions. Proteins were the perfect size to try everything without filling up. A carving station consisted of sirloin, pork loin, sausage and baked salmon. The seasoning on every protein at the buffet and carving station was different. Excellent. Sides included mac and cheese, roasted potatoes, a squash medley, Brussels Sprouts, and mashed potatoes. A nice spread for a salad included mixed greens, large leaves of them. All the veggie toppings, two kinds of shredded cheeses, house made croutons, four dressings and fresh fruit that blew me away. Every bite of the fruit was ripe, sweet. Not the hard, no flavor offerings at some establishments/groceries this time of year. The gumbo had large pieces of shrimp, crawfish, sausage, potatoes, and smaller pieces of mussels, mini shrimp, etc. The breads selection was biscuits, baguette and others. All fresh, soft and crunchy. Great to dip into the gumbo broth. Dessert offerings included brownies and cookies. I opted to enjoy a brownie along with the fresh berries/fruit. They also offer a Sunday brunch buffet. The other nights they have a full menu. Be aware, they automatically add in a "brunch gratuity" of 20% to the bill. Overall, I would visit again.

The diner's booths are cozy vinyl classics, but every inch of wall space is plastered with Time Square posters, yellow taxi figurines, and souvenir Statue of Liberties. The coffee's bottomless, the breakfast comes with a side of gossip, and your view is equal parts pancake stack and Empire State Building snow globe. I would recommend the breakfast where the pancake breakfast is less an event and more a ritual. The stacks of golden pancakes share the plate with sausage links that taste like they've been holding down the fort since forever, and the coffee--always hot, always refilled before you can ask--runs like traffic on a green light. It's the kind of breakfast where the comfort is in its predictability: simple, sturdy, and endlessly caffeinated, like the city itself. Worth the trip: big stacks, small town, and enough New York souvenirs to stock Times Square. Cheers!

I ordered: - The Salmon Salad (one of the specials) - The Philly Cheesesteak (one of the specials) - comes with a side (fries) - 5 wings with blue cheese Due to my allergies, I changed out the strawberry dressing for blue cheese and ranch. The salmon salad was pretty good overall. I believe the strawberry dressing would have given it the balance it needed of a hint of sweetness from the fruit. But it was still good. Where things fell short was the cheesesteak. I did it with the wings as take out. The flavors of the cheesesteak were off. I shared it with others and we all said it was a seasoning on the meat or something that didn't go well. It didn't have the taste you are familiar with when it comes to a classic cheesesteak. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't something we would order again - you know things just ain't forever one. This was one for us. It might be something great for someone else. The wings and fries were good. The fries had a good seasoning to them and the wings weren't hard - so all good in our book. We will definitely return to try other items on the menu.
