This store has a wide selection of fresh and frozen seafood. I was excited to see Jamaican salt cod in the box! There's jerky, seasonings, and recipes. They have crawfish for a nice Cajun boil if that's your thing. The store was clean and the cashier was very friendly. I'm usually a window shopper in a new place. I'm excited to come back and buy a few things. With seafood, I can usually take it or leave it. If you're fanatical about seafood, you'll love it here.

Too easy! We were in Anchorage for a brief layover - on a Sunday no less. We needed to buy some king crab, but the downtown 10th & M was closed. Luckily, the Muldoon store opened at noon. Great selection of frozen legs and claws, already tagged and priced. It was a simple matter of picking what I wanted and handing it to the shop clerk. I explained our situation - we wanted an order to go, and we were taking it on a private jet - so he put together a box, a styrofoam cooler and some bag ice to keep it all chilled for the trip home. The shipping box cost $20 - the crab a fair bit more!

The best seafood selection in Anchorage. And quality is superb. Finest in city, hands down. And cheaper than catching it yourself!

Review of New Sagaya City Market - Anchorage, Alaska…read more Five weeks ago, I moved from San Francisco to Anchorage, settling near the downtown area. One of my first missions was to find a coffee spot that felt like home--a place with not just great coffee, but genuine people behind the counter. After trying a handful of cafes, a neighbor suggested New Sagaya City Market, just two blocks from my house. What a win. The market itself offers high-end, quality products. Yes, prices are a bit higher than what you'd find at Walmart or Target, but coming from San Francisco, I was prepared for that. What truly sets this place apart, though, isn't just the products--it's the people. From the very beginning, the baristas here have shown me the most consistent and heartfelt customer service I've experienced since moving to Anchorage. They don't just serve coffee; they connect with you, listen to your stories, and make you feel like part of the community. Today was a perfect example. I slipped in the parking lot (rookie mistake--no spikes on my shoes for the icy ground). After two kind gentlemen helped me up, I walked inside with my spilled coffee. Annie, a new barista I hadn't met before, immediately offered me a fresh cup with such kindness and care. That small gesture meant so much--it wasn't just about the coffee, it was about feeling seen and supported. I also want to shout out Monica and Shea, who I met when I first arrived five weeks ago. They've been consistently amazing--funny, charming, and genuinely interested in conversations about life, community, and even my adventures back in San Francisco. Every time I come in, I leave feeling lighter, happier, and more connected. Thank you, Annie, Monica, and Shea, for making New Sagaya City Market my go-to coffee spot. You've given me more than great coffee--you've given me a sense of belonging in a new city. --- Would you like me to make this version short and punchy for Google/Yelp reviews, or keep it longer and more storytelling-focused for something like a blog or social post?

While the store is pricey, it is worth a visit for the items you can't get anywhere else and excellent customer service. I recommend trying the pre-seasoned ahi tuna, my personal favorite for at home meals.

Garlic seafood noodle - very greasy and seems to be a lot of soy sauce?! Reminding me of pseudo Chinese takeout joints Not from Chinatown's metropolitan areas..but from the suburbs. Positive: seafood was good and garlicky. King Crab bag was even saltier with the lemon pepper flavoring...and again way too greasy --- too much oil left over from the bowl after poured. For $80 (per lb...when asked my server for market price and advised was the best price) got Almost 3 full crab legs!!! Waaaaaaay Expensive for what one gets! I feel thats the price i may pay for in New York City...! Positive: crab meat quality was good. Service: Professional Ambiance: Modern Bottom line: Definelty not worth the hype for food that is meh... and $$$$$. As a foodie, I've dined from low to high end places...never had i experienced high levels of sodium and greasiness from a restaurant of this caliber.
