It looked like something I could buy at Costco or any of those big stores and it was extremely expensive for the quality that it looked like it's definitely super small not an actual market and it wasn't worth me going and thinking I could get stuff packed and bring back home. Unfortunately I ended up getting nothing and I rather get seafood from somewhere in New York instead.. I did take some pictures of some of the stuff. Since it's our first time, we didn't have any experience shipping home 40 lbs of fish! On our way back to Anchorage, we researched processors that can prepare and package the fish so we can bring it back on the plane with us to CA. The first facility was very busy and the lady said that the person doing the processing didn't show up that day! We were in Anchorage for just a few hours that day and it was getting late so we had to find another facility. That's when we learned about Alaska Sausage and Seafood! As soon as we got there, someone met with us and explained the process, arranged to prepare and get the fish ready for us to take home a few days later (we had a few more days to spend in Denali before heading back to Anchorage to catch our flight). They even had a freezer to store the fish so we can pick it up outside of their business hours. How convenient! We got an email a day before our flight letting us know that our salmon was ready to be picked up. The customer service is 5 out of 5 stars! This is how business should be done (we are business owners too). Well, next time we visit AK to fish, we know where to go! Thank you Alaska Sausage and Seafood Company! We are enjoying our salmon in CA!

We got one for the 3 of us that year. I had seen Live King Crab only once at New Sagaya but it was special and it's rare. Each year you never know with them. But every year, Aquatech gets it in all through the crabbing season and they ship it all over the world. It's my birthday tomorrow and that means a special dinner of course so I swung by today to see if they have Live King and they do! LIVE Golden King Crab is officially on my menu! These Golden King Crabs average 5-8 lbs each so 2 crabs will be nice for a family gathering of 7. Now the secrets out! Shhhhhhhh!

The ambience is just like a regular meat market you go in and there's a counter with all the meat. We walked in and we asked for a specific type of steak. We saw the prize of moving on. We needed to get five and so we asked about recommendations on a cheaper cut of steak that would feed fat people and not break the bank. They were really helpful and helping us pick out the steaks that night and then we also picked up some bacon and I believe some dried meats like ham hocks or it was turkey necks. I don't remember. We have gone back and we had thought about looking at meat packages, but we haven't done it yet. We don't have room in our freezer, but they have really good prices. If you're looking straight from the butcher check them out I think you will be surprised at what you can get there and what they do have also ask about anything you may not have been able to find they may have it.

They entice people to buy their products but they do not have certain products available.
