It looked like something I could buy at Costco or any of those big stores and it was extremely expensive for the quality that it looked like it's definitely super small not an actual market and it wasn't worth me going and thinking I could get stuff packed and bring back home. They also have an excellent selection of "tinned fish" if that's your thing (it's totally mine). All kinds of neat sauces and seasonings as well as a cold case where they carry a variety of their own cured meats. I also swing in here when I'm looking for a gift for someone that I don't know what to get, I'll find some cool candy or such. The staff is always super friendly and ready to assist (and give free tasty samples) from their cold case. We got one for the 3 of us that year. I had seen Live King Crab only once at New Sagaya but it was special and it's rare. Each year you never know with them. But every year, Aquatech gets it in all through the crabbing season and they ship it all over the world. It's my birthday tomorrow and that means a special dinner of course so I swung by today to see if they have Live King and they do! LIVE Golden King Crab is officially on my menu! These Golden King Crabs average 5-8 lbs each so 2 crabs will be nice for a family gathering of 7. Now the secrets out! Shhhhhhhh!

We needed to get five and so we asked about recommendations on a cheaper cut of steak that would feed fat people and not break the bank. They were really helpful and helping us pick out the steaks that night and then we also picked up some bacon and I believe some dried meats like ham hocks or it was turkey necks. I don't remember. We have gone back and we had thought about looking at meat packages, but we haven't done it yet. We don't have room in our freezer, but they have really good prices. If you're looking straight from the butcher check them out I think you will be surprised at what you can get there and what they do have also ask about anything you may not have been able to find they may have it.

This minor communication glitch was far outweighed by the quality of the seafood that was delivered. The Bairdi crab legs were by far the largest, meatiest, most flavorful sweet snow crab legs I have ever had. The qualtiy meat was on a par with King Crab in my opinion. The scallops were huge, tender and sweet. I had EXACTLY the Christmas feast I had envisioned! I don't usually post reviews, but do so here because I felt that the negative reviews I read from others might dissuade people from using this company. They did an excellent job of ensuring the packaging was airtight for maximum freshness. And amazingly the salmon had not bones. I have no idea how they did that. The salmon, as was all the other fish, absolutely beautiful. My only complaint is that none of it was labeled. The outside of the box indicated what might be in the box to give us some clues, but that was it. But since I was a gift, and a lovely one, I can't complain.
