Decided to go here after seeing it had 4.9 stars on google. Made reservations through google/yelp and it worked out fine. We were seated quickly despite it being a packed house. The atmosphere was a bit crazy but that's only because we were seated next to a large party celebrating a birthday which is understandable. Our server was nice enough without being overbearing. Our drinks came out immediately and our appetizer followed shortly after. We were warned that our main may take a while due to the large crowds but it didn't take long at all. Appetizer- Mussels - They were fine. I've had better. The real hero was the sauce they came in. Main- King crab- Very delicious! Snow crab- Very delicious! Reindeer sausage- Tasty! I was expecting a bit more of a gamey flavor but was fine with what it was. Potatoes- Good! I mean they are potatoes so you can't expect too much. All in all it was an enjoyable experience. Garlic seafood noodle - very greasy and seems to be a lot of soy sauce?! Reminding me of pseudo Chinese takeout joints Not from Chinatown's metropolitan areas..but from the suburbs. Positive: seafood was good and garlicky. King Crab bag was even saltier with the lemon pepper flavoring...and again way too greasy --- too much oil left over from the bowl after poured. For $80 (per lb...when asked my server for market price and advised was the best price) got Almost 3 full crab legs!!! Waaaaaaay Expensive for what one gets! I feel thats the price i may pay for in New York City...! Positive: crab meat quality was good. Went here with family to celebrate a birthday the other day, and unfortunately the experience was pretty disappointing. Our server, Mariah, came across as incredibly rude and terse with our table throughout the meal. On top of the poor service, we were shorted 14 pieces of corn from our order. We ordered 7 orders of corn at 6 pieces each, yet when we pointed out how much we were missing, she actually asked us how many pieces were supposed to come in an order. Eventually, additional corn was brought out, although it still didn't appear to be the full 14 pieces we were missing. The bigger issue is that the replacement corn was basically plain corn that clearly hadn't had time to sit and cook in the crab boil sauce. That might sound minor, but when you're paying a hefty premium for the food and the "experience," it absolutely affects the meal. At another point, someone at our table called for Mariah by name and had to raise his voice somewhat just to get her attention--not in an aggressive or disrespectful way, but simply because the restaurant is loud and noisy and she otherwise couldn't hear him. Her response was something along the lines of, "Don't raise your voice at me." It was said half-jokingly, but also very clearly not entirely joking. Given the environment and the fact that he was only trying to get her attention, it came across as unnecessarily confrontational and in poor taste. We've been here before, and unfortunately both the quality of the service and the accuracy of the food portions seem to continue declining while the prices remain at a premium. For what this place charges, customers shouldn't have to count their food to make sure they received what they paid for, nor should they feel like they're inconveniencing their server by asking for something. Seafood Boil was good as always. Calamari was good when we ordered it before, but it was very salty the next time we went there. We love their fried chicken. We were sitted on a 2 person table but we asked if we can transfer to the booth since there were 2 more available . I told server my husband has a back problem but we're denied. I think those are for 4+ people. So we just let it go. Next thing we know, after about 15 mins, we saw those 2 booths occupied by 2 diners each only. It can get loud, because it's a small and tight place but that's to be expected. It's a place to enjoy food" with friends and family. If you can handle spicy I'd go up a spice! Shrimp wasn't over cooked so it was easy to peel off! These were the first crab legs of the trip and 1000% happy with it! Sadly, I agree with pretty much everything Daniella A. had to say. Maybe it's because we were at Whisky & Ramen the night before, but the service here was very, VERY underwhelming. This is one of those rare places where I was eager to hear "the spiel". You know what I'm talking about: the little scripted speech places with unique dining situations give you if it's your first time? I needed that here. My family and I studied the website and the menu, and read the Yep reviews beforehand but we still needed some help. How much is typical for 3 people? Should we get an entree? How hot is the xxx level? The is "The Workz!"? Are you out of anything (they were, and didn't say till we tried to order it)? I made reservation on Yelp. I thought we were in great shape when the hostess asked "is it your first time dining with us?" Then our server (who was the same person as the host) was pretty much like "what are you ordering?". Zero explanation, zero chatter, zero recommendations. It was like being grilled on a test. They were then quick to butt in an tell us they were out of things (no AK shrimp), or quick to pop-quiz us on options that were never explained to us. It was a jarring experience. The food was good, not great. The seasoning was wonderful. Unlike most food in Anchorage the (non hot) spices were liberally used. There was BOAT LOADS of garlic. The spice level was really weak though. If you get XX spice level it will be very mild. I recommend XXX spice level if you like hot food. We got an entree: the Fiyah Crab, it was well-seasonabled and tasty. The white rice was useful to help soak up the wonderful lemongrass seasoning that is the Fiyah sauce. (contrary to the sound of the name the fiay sauce, while delicious, is not spicy, nor is it supposed to be) Since the crucial part of the menu, the seafood boil was not explained to us, I'll try to explain it to you, dear reader: You get seafod in a bag. it's in a bag to preserve the copious amount of seasoning. When you get it, you cut it, and dump it into a large metal bowl. You then eat from that bowl and leave the shells on the table, which has a plastic cover on it. You choose from various seafood by the pound. Make sure you ask which ones they are out of, because they are often out of them. We choose: Shrimp Crawfish Snow crab You then choose a seasoning, we chose "The Workz!". None this was explained but I'm assuming it's the "everything" seasoning. For heat level we chose XX, which was barely detectable. You then choose "add ons" which are non-seafood proteins as well as stuff you'd find at a cajun crawfish burl: corn, sausage, potatoes, etc The shrimp was spectacular, some of the best I've ever had! The crawfish was pathetic. Mushy, tiny tail meat. Sucking the heads was great though! The snow crab was somewhere in the middle. The service is really important to a place as conceptual as this. This place is 100% worth the 1hr wait time!!! Lemme start by saying if you don't like garlic this is not the place for you!!! I'm pretty sure they use about 40 garlic bulbs per order lol. The food was quite good, I ordered the clam chowder (definitely recommend) and the AK crab boil with potato's and hard boiled eggs (also highly recommend). Loved our meal here! We shared a pound of cajun shrimp and a vegetable/ tofu plate. Potatoes in the shrimp bag were ok but would probably skip them and just get rice next time as it is great with the cajun seasoning. Veggie sir fry dish was an awesome side too! So first of all, we made a reservation for a bachelors party 10 DAYS ahead of time and CALLED us 45 mins before the reservation to call and ask us if being seated away from eachother was fine. After asking for specification on how far we would be and once again reiterating that it was a bachelor party and we don't wanna be yelling across a restaurant to each other. They apparently got everything figured out and we showed up at the restaurant. After that we show up in the table still aren't ready again after 45 minutes before that they called us to confirm and new ample time that how many people were attending and at what time we were attending. On top of that they told us it would be 10 minutes for somebody to get up from the table to leave. It was not an I timed it. It was almost 37 minutes. One of the servers then came up and said "I'm checking them out right now don't worry." Which, as somebody who is also worked serving in customer service for quite some time I found a little rude and slightly disrespectful to both us, and the people that were currently at the table. After that again, we had discussed that we needed to not be turned away from each other and we had nine people, and they sat us at an eight top and told us to just grab a chair and stick it somewhere. Again, making it to where one person's back was to the whole party and leaving somebody out of the conversation or part of the party. They then told us that there was a party of 16 people that had canceled and they had ample opportunity to sit us in the back table before any of this unfolded. Then they scrambled instead of adjusting us to the back table. We left. Again, my family has worked in the restaurant industry for over 30 years and myself over 10, never have I experienced something to this level and took this much disrespect. I really hope this company can get their stuff together And not let the situation happen to anyone in the future. read more

Had a friend highly recommend us to come to Inferno and everything was so good. We had the Denali Feast it had all the works! Pictures will show you how much food we had for our party of 7. Came in on a Saturday evening and the place was pretty busy, constant foot traffic. Wait was not too bad, service itself was fast too once seated. We each ordered a seafood bag and my oh my there was A LOT to eat! Definitely can be shared between 2 people. I had the shrimp with all extras (potatoes, corn) and reindeer sausage. I made mine medium spicy and it wasn't too spicy, little kick for sure. For the sauce, I had their house "mixed" and wasn't all that impressed with it, 2 stars for it. It wasn't that soup-y, more chunky with lots of garlic which I wish they had more soup to be able to dip my pieces. The reindeer sausage was OK, definitely could tell the difference between the reindeer one and beef one (beef sausage was really yummy!). We also ordered a side of the garlic noodles and everyone at the table loved the noodles! Pretty spacious spot, good amount of seating inside and they have extra seating on the side.
