This was done by Greg and 7 months later looks like this. Extremely scarred and more faded then a tattoo I got 8 years ago

I would never in a million years go back to 10th street tattoo or refer any of my friends to go there. I had a super terrible, down right awful experience. I had my tattoo done by Greg, who seemed like a nice guy, but half way through my tattoo started to dose off (I'm going to say drugs had a big part to do with this). My tattoo is horrendously scarred and for lack of better words looks like shit.

My cousin and I went here on Saturday night to get tattoos. She was in from Texas for our family reunion. Around 8 pm, we decided that we wanted to get tattoos together. I had one in mind that I've been wanting and she knew what she wanted too. I used Yelp to look for tattoo shops and most of them closed around 8 pm. 10th Street was open until 2 am and I read some reviews that said they do walk-ins, so off we went. When we got there, the shop was clean and there was a lot of quirky artwork and sketches around the shop. One of the artists greeted us and said that the wait would be 1.5 hours (which was fine with us). He took our names and what design we wanted and then went into the back. He came back out with another artist, Mook (the owner of the shop). He said he could take us right then and there! So we showed him what we wanted and he actually made some suggestions to tweak our designs to make them look better and then we sketched them. He showed us the sketches and then we went to the back to get tatted. We didn't get big designs and Mook was very quick and efficient. Each of our tattoos only took about 10 minutes. I have been looking for a tattoo artist in Pittsburgh and I have found one. I definitely would go back to Mook and recommend him to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

My overworked tattoo done by Greg

I got my tattoos back in July, and to my dismay I was what the doctor explained as "over worked" half of the tattoo is a raised scar which is a pain to look at. I had hoped it would go down with time, but that hasn't happened. The other one turned out okay but they were meant to be a pair. I believe Greg worked on me.

I love my rockem sockem robots from Mook

Scam shop. Want you to leave a deposit they won't honor. Not because they're too busy either.

When you step inside, you'll see their jewelry case with all genuine metal, hypoallergenic pieces that you can leave in forever. They have a range of options, including gold, diamond, and cubic zirconia. A friendly lady at the front will guide you through all the jewelry options. I chose this place because of its cute, dainty jewelry, which is perfect if you like smaller pieces. The process is straightforward: you pay separately for the piercing and the jewelry. The piercing itself is $60, and you'll need to buy the stud or back piece, which costs an additional $18. The jewelry ranges from $85 and up. My final cost was around $300 for a genuine gold piece with a real diamond. The studio was clean, and the piercer was incredibly knowledgeable, laid-back, and easy to talk to. I'm already planning my next visit and looking forward to getting another piercing. We even mapped out my ear for future piercings!

I really have to say that this tattoo shop was a wonderful experience to have on a Saturday morning. Michelle the owner in tattooer was probably one of the most gracious and amazing people I have met. While I was not the one to get tattooed by her the conversation that we had as a group was just amazing. She is a beautiful soul. Her ability to be so open and understanding of similar life experiences while making it about the person and not just herself was fantastic. While I was the not the one who is getting tattooed she made me feel comfortable in the space that she provided. She even gave me a recommendation about a tattoo cover up that I've been thinking about for some years now. She made me feel assured and comfortable that what I wanted is a possibility and to not be afraid to go for it. Michelle is a warm and friendly individual that only allows positivity in her space. And she even takes time to talk to her clients outside of the tattoo space. I would suggest coming here for a positive inclusive tattoo experience. You will not be disappointed.

I had no intention to deliberately come here, but as I was walking down the street I felt this is where I was going to do it. It was a rainy day and I walked up to the place and looked up and thought, yeah, this is the appropriate place to do so. I had no clue if they took walk-ins, or were able at that moment to do my tattoo. I just felt numb at that point and walked in here. I went to the counter and was asked what they could do for me. I showed them what I wanted tattooed on me and where I would like it to be. After making sure what I wanted would be alright when it would be stenciled they made sure the sizing was right for the area. While they were doing all that I filled out the tattoo waiver form to have this done and just waited until it was time. It had been a few years since I last got a tattoo and was a bit anxious with it all, but the artist that did my tattoo, Jeff, put me at ease. Because of me being a walk in and it being a simple tattoo, I think I took up maybe twenty minutes total of their time. The tattooing itself did not bother me one bit. When Jeff was all finished and he cleaned it a bit, he had me look at it to see how it looked. I went to the mirror, looked at it, chocked up a bit and told him it was perfect. He asked if I was alright and I told him yeah, it just means a lot to me that he was able to get the handwriting perfect. See, I had a bit of a breakdown knowing that my Mom was not going to be signing anymore of my birthday cards, so I had her handwriting tattooed on me from a previous birthday card to have forever. Jeff saw the sadness in my eyes and asked if I needed a hug. I told him I was fine, just having a moment. He then asked again if I needed a hug and I told him I appreciate the gesture, but I am fine. After he was done and had me set up to go, he took some of his time to talk to me about how loss is a tough thing to deal with and that he knows what I was going through. Some people just have the right compassion to be doing their line of work. Jeff exemplifies was a good person is and kind and caring being. I totally appreciate what they were able to accomplish for me, anytime I miss Mom I give a rub of that tattoo am reminded that I am loved. Phew, sorry to be a downer there, but it was an emotional day, and I needed to hear some kind words at that particular moment. I believe I was brought here for a reason. I would definitely come back and ask for Jeff to do my next tattoo. Also, not bad for this being my 2,700th review. Glad it could be this place.
