As I was getting gas at 6:30 in the morning, I noticed I had a flat. There was only one 24hr tire shop in the area but when called, no answer. Took a leap of faith with 11 Ave Tire Shop (they open at 7am) and to my surprise, it picked up. Miguel, the owner, offered to send someone over to my location at 7am because he wanted to prevent further damage to the wheel. He, himself, couldn't come because he was running the shop solo. I was in a rush, so I drove over. Got out of there in 20 minutes with one person ahead of me. He was fast, efficient, and taught me tips to maintain my tires. The price was fantastic. Cash only. Honestly wanted to give a good review however the games that this tire shop plays is ridiculous. I live in the area I've gone multiple times in the last couple of of years. Each time is a new price but for the same car for the same tires ? Questionable, however last weeks was my final straw! They over charged me an additional $20 because it is a European car and I am a female go figure, I had my own tire as well. I have no issue paying for something when it is In value to the service, the man there knew I had no choice because my tire literally popped and could charge me whatever. Not only did they over charge me as I pulled off they did a completly wrong job. My car was shaking and I was afraid that I would break an axel or something as I drove away. I couldn't even return because if I turned the wheel even an inch it was as if the wheel was hitting into the car. I have no clue what they did however now I need another new tire so a quick switch out the tire job turned into an additional $300. I came here to get a tire fixed after a flat. I really wanted to give this place at least four stars after we left because of how convenient and fast the service was. However, having no experience in dealing with cars, I didn't hover over the mechanic because I didn't want to be rude but that was a big mistake. My advice, is be sure to follow the person changing your tire everywhere! We were led to believe that we needed a brand new tire because the valve was old and there were nails in the wheel which is completely fine, $110 dollars later. They showed us a new wheel that was in a stack so we agreed to the change, waited outside but we never saw the inside of the wheel. A few days later my father in-law took the car to a trusted mechanic around his way and ended up having to dispose of the wheel stating it was an old wheel patched up inside and not new! It breaks my heart that people take advantage and put peoples lives at risk read more

Miguel will say anything to have you come to his shop over the phone. Spoke with Miguel in regards to a run flat tire in which Mavis had previously charged $205 for the same said tire. He informed me over the phone that his price was $279 but to come by anyways because he'll "take care of me." Highly suspicious because that is $74 spread that he'd have to close but I did as he asked and showed up regardless to be taken care of. Little did I know, after arriving, he informed me that he could do $270 resulting in a $9 discount despite me mentioning that Mavis was $205. After some back and forth in which his colleague already took off my flat tire, he came down to $260. I wish Miguel was upfront to begin with so I would've went straight to Mavis. He took advantage of the situation knowing that Mavis closed at 6pm and Utica Ave (location of Mavis) was 40 minutes away from his shop therefore I had no other choice but to be raped by his prices. read more
