These guys charge extra after 6pm, almost double. My son had a flat tire. i put air and he took it in to check the leak. The guy didnt spend one minute to check, he also didnt take it off the car, put air and told him done. My son told him ok how much is it and he told him Tip. My son gave him $15 thinking he plugged it. Next day tire was flat again and he drove it 2 blocks flat(new driver) and when he got there, they told him, new tire $80 for a used one. Disgusting! Taking $15 from a kid for putting air and not even checking the tire. Then he ruined his tire by driving it back to the place. If he fixed it in the first place, he wouldnt have ruined his good tire. read more

Came in to recycle 2 tires. Two guys in shop, one told me to ask the other Hispanic fella. Told him I wanted to recycle tires. He asked how many. Said 2 tires. 5 dollars. No problem, I'll bring them over. He then comes out and tells me $5 for one tire when NYS says 2.50 to recycle a tire. That ain't right. Not coming back here for the attitude. Went there with a nail in my tire. Right away was told I need to change a tire. One guy said $85 for used. When asked the price for a new, was told none in stock. So, I agreed to get used tire. As I walked up to make a purchase, another guy says "Oh we don't have used, only new Chinese-made for $160" but it's good". I left. Had an emergency and had to stop at this place to repair my tire. went to this place and they, as professionals who know tires, gave me a tire that didnt match the other tires. That made my car lop-sided and could have potentially ruined my transmission. Went back the next day to exchange it, they refused to take it back or do anything, and said that they dont care, they just needed to sell a tire so they did so even though they knew it was the wrong tire for my car... ps: Please guys, help youself and just spend 5-10 min more and go to another Tire Shop. The worst experience ever! The guy who works for night shift is a clown! My tire was going to be flat, so I asked him to fix it! He said ok, and he took off the tire and said that it's gonna be 20$. I said no problem, after I got cash from chase bank and came back to the shop, this guy said that he can't fix it and said I have to change the tire. I didn't have money for new tire, so I asked him to put the tire back to the vehicle! You know what? He said it's gonna be 12$ for just taking off the tire and putting back to vehicle! We were driving home from out of town late on a Sunday night. As we crossed the Verrazano into Brooklyn our tire pressure light came on. When we pulled over to check--we saw the nail. We figured we were doomed---the only option was to drive home, park, and hope there would be enough air left in the morning to get to a tire store. Then we saw the Galaxy "Open 24 hours" sign. We pulled up. The young man inspected the tire. And said he could plug it! He did say he had a new tire of the right size but a different brand if we wanted to change it. But he assured us the plug would work and actually hold indefinitely. And when/if the plug should start to fail it would be a very slow leak and we'd have plenty of time to replug it or change th tire. 5 minutes and $13 later we were on our way.
