Headed to rural MA to attend a family wedding. After a long flight and drive we thought we'd try this new restaurant. 7:25 last night seated by the hostess... Sat,sat,sat and sat. Waitstaff were all around but avoided even looking in our eyes 7:40 after not one staff person acknowledged that we were seated we walked out. Even the hostess didn't look up as were leaving. Really sad since this rural area has very few restaurant offerings. read more

Generally, the food is good here, and we have been taking out for the past year. Supposedly, when the occupancy was at 75%, the place seemed totally overcrowded, with only one or two empty tables, but we were taking out. So, the last two times we have done so, we ordered a Kale and Brussel Sprout salad. Both times, no kale whatsoever, and maybe a trace of a Brussel Sprout. I called to complain, told them that I wasn't going to drive 30 minutes to get back there, but was promised the manager would credit the sale. So, then I got a followup phone call, explaining that the salads are premixed, there is nothing they can do about it, and no refund was offered. So thanks a lot. If you order a steak, and get fish, good luck because I guess corporate can only serve you what they have on hand. read more

This place is so good.. my husband and I have been seeing them going up everywhere. We finally stopped in at the Athol 110 and had a great meal. Our server was knowledgeable friendly and attentive to our children we sat at a high bar near the kitchen and drooled pretty much over everything that came out of it. My husband got meatloaf and I got the caprice chicken which was amazing.. The kids meals have great options. We are definitely recommending will be returning for the Reesie's sundae dessert that was the bomb read more

Went for a Sunday drive and found this place, courtesy of an attractions/food sign. They have indoor and outdoor seat and opted for inside. The place is nice and clean, and we were greeted and seated right away. Placed drink orders and checked the menu. There were some very unique items on the menu, but we decide to give in and get a rib eye for me and the wife ordered steak tips. They have interesting sides and we both ordered the Asian noddles and wife ordered fries and I ordered the roasted Brussels sprouts, which were very good. The noodles were also good but difficult to eat to either the bowl being small and the noodles were long. The wife's steak tips were ok, and very tender with a slight hint of bourbon. My rib eye was tender except for a good piece of tendon running thru it. Good thing the steak knife was very sharp, which made for avoiding the tendon a little easier. For the price they charged for the steak, better care should of been taken to allow A cut like that to be sent out. This piece should of been half price. I would of gave them 3 stars, but the staff, and overall cleanliness, made up for it. Also I imagine some of the other menu items are great, but for what the charged for the rib eye and the quality of it was a disappointment. read more

Went for my boyfriends birthday, we ordered the boneless wings as an appetizer in buffalo and bbq. They came out out quick and were delicious. That made us have high expectations for the rest of our meal. he ordered the steak and at 38$ we expected it to be amazing. Unfortunately when It came out, it had a grey color with a few Char lines but no sear at all, and no seasoning. The inside was cooked more medium well rather than the medium rare that he ordered. The sides he got were rice and onion strings. the rice tasted as if it was days old: completely dry and flavorless, the onion strings were the only part of the meal he enjoyed. We are not ones to complain or send food back but we definitely expected the food to be good at the price we payed. I don't think we will ever be back, and it's unfortunate because we live right down the street. We were hoping for a good experience but it just didn't meet our expectations. read more

So the sailor and I found this place today using the Yelp app and we are definitely glad we tried something new! We decided try this new place based on their theme of food made in house and fresh to order. The fact that they can make a good portion of their food with out Gluten is a bonus. So we got there around 5pm and we were very quickly seated on the patio. We ordered the following: Tater Tots with gravy/poutine mixture A bowl of Chili Meatloaf, with mashed potatoes and broccoli *free fresh bread with garlic butter was also offered to us. We decided to split these items between the two of us. We are glad we did because they were quite large. (I was very happy the restaurant didn't charge a shared plating fee.) To start with the bread was amazing; doughy, warm and flakey. The garlic butter was home made with roasted garlic and shallots. I could have made a meal on this alone. (This was not gluten free; but I didn't care) I did care about the small pat of butter they gave. They know that stuff is good so I think they ration it! Next came the tater tots with the onion gravy poutine mixture. The tots were very crisp and the gravy and poutine cheese were on the side in small metal serving cups. I liked this because it allowed the tots to stay crisp longer and allowed for distinct flavors and textures to co-mingle. Next came the bowl of chili; I wasn't a big fan of this as I felt there was too much stewed tomatoes in the mix. But the sailor loved it and asked the waitress for more sour cream as he said it created a great taste together. Last up was the meatloaf dish. So Good. The onion straws topper could have used some salt but overall a great dish. Things to note before coming. 1. If you like garlic with your garlic you will love this place. 2. They really do try to individualize menu items based on your personal choices. 3. It's located in a new development of stores/business in the Quabbin area. I like the set up way better than the Holyoke Mall or Hadley plaza. It's busy yet quiet at the same time. Service was excellent. Waitress was personable and had a great attitude. We usually go to the one in Leominster, first time here in Athol. A few hiccups, but we enjoyed our meals as always. The hostess sat us but we noticed the a.c was on above us, do bad that the light fixture was swaying back and forth ,it was 24 degrees outside. Waiter fixed it straight away. We all enjoyed our meals, got the sweet and savory tomato soup with grilled goat cheese, delicious. Wife had the chicken piccatta, she loved it. My loyalty card at the end of the meal only gave me 50 points. I've been to the 110 over five times, should of had over 200 points, the waiter fixed it immediately,toom $20 off the bill, very happy!! Had been wanting to try the Haverhill, MA location for awhile, it's closer to home for us. After dropping our kid off at camp, we were making the two-hour trek back home when we happened upon this location today. As good as any time to try, since we were all starting to get hungry. The host (I didn't catch his name) was super smiley and welcoming. Shane, our waiter, came over quickly and l asked if anyone had allergies. I told him shellfish. He went on to tell us about their very careful, double-check system to ensure any food put on the tables are safe. It was quite impressive. His level of attention was perfect. He noted when our drinks were low and brought refills before we even had to ask. There were three in our party, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. My daughter and husband raved about the poutine tots, while I was thrilled with my beet salad. It is not a hugely extensive menu, but there is something for everyone, including vegetarians and those with gluten allergies. Clean, excellent service, great food, and nice, casual atmosphere. Came here twice while camping at Tully lake (rainy days) Seemed like an average chain But had super friendly service and great food for a restaurant of that type While it's not fine dining it's certainly above fine for a grill (not my most articulate review!) Wings were great! Loved the tomato soup And their willingness to accommodate special orders-ie The fish tacos are usually fried but they were happy to make them baked cod We hope to visit again next time we are in the area read more

My family and I were very happy to have such an excellent restaurant near our wet , soggy campsite. My wife is Celiac so options for dining out are always a consideration. We have gone to other 110 Grills closer to our house so we knew that we would not be disappointed. If you have allergies, 110 Grill is very accommodating and takes all allergies seriously. We arrived for the dinner hour at this brand new location. In fact the whole plaza looked brand new. The staff was friendly, efficient and personable. The food was delicious. Our meal was served hot and in a timely manner. Great drink selection. I would definitely return. read more

Food is always decent, however can be a little over priced for what it is. I last visited when the patio was open. Service was pretty good. They seated us rather quickly. The manager is always eager to help and goes out of his way to make sure you are taken care of. My favorite menu item is the onion strings. I legit order those as both an appetizer and a side for whatever I end up getting. The portions are generous, but again, the reason for 4 and not 5 is the price. Little expensive for what you get, considering it's a chain restaurant, but it can still be worth the money if you really enjoy the food. read more

Went pre-COVID and was blown away by the quality of the food. The waitstaff were friendly and the bartender was knowledgeable of the drink menu and how to make an amazing Old-fashioned. It is a bit pricey but i would say the quality of the food is worth the price. read more

Got seated and had to wait 10 minutes for my girlfriend and I to get our order taken. After that never got our appetizers before having to ask another server that was not ours for bread. Our server forgot about our table and waited 40 minutes for our food while parties that had come in after us were almost finishing their meals. Had to ask the general manager for refills on our drinks. I love the food at 110 but this experience was the worst ever. Please 110 grill in Athol, MA be more organized next time. read more

Wow, just wow. Fried fish taco and tomato Soup lunch special is not only a great deal but crazy delicious. My husband tried the brisket Mac and cheese which was heavy to say the least. May cause high cholesterol but probably worth it. Our server was awesome as well with good suggestions and so patient with our baby's mess. read more

I've been coming here for years. Let me tell you, that Vanessa, she's one hell of a bartender. She's very friendly and quick, but also incredibly insightful when ordering food. I recommend the spinach artichoke dip and a good ribeye. This is a wonderful place and if all the service staff are like Vanessa, you are sure to have a great experience. read more

Stopped in with my husband and daughter for an early dinner on a Tuesday afternoon. The decor and open feel was nice. It was obviously new and perhaps too new for a great experience. The beer selections were excellent and the service was good. But then we ordered. Things went down hill. We had bbq chicken nachos, more appropriately called bbq nachos. I don't think there was 2 oz of chicken. Next up was a Buffalo chicken flatbread. Again, very little chicken and the flatbread was hard as cement. We won't stop in again. Pretty unremarkable experience eating here tonight. The service is excellent and the waiter was very attentive and friendly, but overall the food was lacking. My mother liked the meatloaf entree, but I found the roasted beet salad to be mostly a pile of arugula and a few bits of beet. The tater tot poutine was weird. A tiny bowl of tater tots, 15-20 and a small ramekin of gravy and a weird oil cheesy mixture. A friend had the chicken Caesar salad that looked decent. With one beer and a house glass of wine brought the check to nearly $70. Way too much $ for what it was... not much. read more

Took a friend of mine here and it was wonderful! Kat our waitress was really friendly, helpful, willing to go the extra mile! I really appreciated her attentiveness! My friend had a chicken cordon bleu sandwich, and I had the Beyond burger made vegan. Being vegan I am always super wary eating in places that cater to, but aren't 100% vegan. The new location near the Market Basket in Athol opened yesterday, and I am happy to report that it is off to a great start. The staff is prepared and friendly, the service is already efficient, and the food is prepared beautifully. I had a tasty meatloaf burger, which is only on the lunch menu, but they gladly made one for me for dinner. The side of Brussels sprouts was also delicious. If delicious, distinctive meals combined with professional, courteous, warm service is what you are looking for in a restaurant, then look no further than the brand new 110 Grill that opened last night here in the North Quabbin Commons. My wife Anne, my son Josh, and I were honored to be the first official customers in this newest entry into the restaurant scene in Central/North Central Massachusetts. Josh and I arrived just after 3:30 (for a 4:00 reservation)--plenty of time for a few photographs of both the exterior and (due to the kindness of the staff) the interior as well. Anne joined us shortly after 4:00, just after we had been welcomed by our server, Desiree Terrien. The official website describes the restaurant as "Modern American Cuisine in a Trendy Casual Atmosphere." It truly lives up to both that description and its excellent reputation, earned through its first dozen restaurants here in New England. This "lucky" thirteenth restaurant follows nine others in Massachusetts and three in New Hampshire. Eight additional restaurants in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Albany (NY) are "coming soon." Our first introduction to the 110 Grill was our appetizer: a very flavorful spinach dip bread bowl (a blend of cheeses, spinach, and artichokes). I am a fan of this particular "starter," and this was one of the very best I have ever been served, and it was more than enough to satisfy all three of us. Our entries were served hot, fresh, and made to order (with no added salt). Anne had the 110 Seasonal (Artisan greens and arugula, diced gala apples, red grapes and candied walnuts tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette, topped with feta and applewood smoked bacon). Anne chose to stay low-salt by substituting cheddar for feta, and omitting the bacon. Josh had the Pappardelle Bolognese (Pappardelle pasta tossed in a savory Bolognese sauce that features a blend of beef, pork, and veal, topped with parmesan and fresh basil). My entree was the Chicken Pesto Pasta (pan-seared chicken, roasted tomatoes, artichokes and ca atapi pasta, tossed in a creamy pesto sauce and finished with shaved Reggiano." Each of us thought our meals were absolutely delectable, and the portion size was large enough that two of us took some home for lunch today. As wonderful as the meal was, the service was just as perfect. Great service combined with great food is what makes a restaurant memorable and one that becomes a favorite destination for dining. A warm and comfortable ambiance--a special atmosphere--is an added bonus. Athol's 110 Grill brings all of these attributes to its diners. Our server, Desiree, was fantastic. She was warm, friendly and very professional. She served the food in a very timely manner, and checked in with us at just the right time, refilling our water and Diet Coke glasses when necessary. We also received a gracious visit from the general manager, Michael Boulger, whom I had met earlier. He--like his entire staff--seemed to be absolutely delighted to be here in Athol and made us feel both welcomed and appreciated. I am confident that the 110 Grill is going to be a real success here in Athol. Whether it's a weekday and you want a beautiful night out and a delightful meal, or it's a weekend and you are celebrating a truly special occasion, the 110 Grill will just right. I expect that it will not only draw people from Athol and Orange, but also from Erving. Greenfield Keene, Royalston, Gardner, Templeton, Westminster, Petersham, and Barre and many other Quabbin and North Quabbin communities--and beyond. When our eight-screen cinema opens in just a few months, dinner and a movie will take on a new meaning here in Athol with the opening of the 110 Grill. We have visited the 110 Grill now in a few of their locations and have to say we have found they have great burgers, Caesar salads, and several other dishes we really enjoy. We have had a couple of issues with management over the way they charge for providing an alternative salad to a side dish; the net value is you give up the cost of the side dish (you pay), plus you pay extra for the salad, so I think you end up paying twice. However, I had an Asian salad with my burger the other night and it was quite good sized and had some great flavor. read more

When I was planning on writing this review, I had no idea this was a chain. I had gone out for a long hike in the woods and this spot was the only thing showing up on yelp nearby. To start, they are VERY concerned with food allergies. I made a joke about a food allergy and the waiter verified multiple times that I wasn't, in fact, allergic to all food. He informed me that there are punishments for wait staff if they do not take the allergies seriously. While that doesn't affect me- it greatly affects people who DO have allergies, and I'm sure they appreciate that. All waiters/bartenders were extremely friendly and prompt with their service. I thought this was a hometown establishment because of this. The meal started with delightfully fluffy rolls and absolutely heart-stopping butter. Our first bites of the butter had us holding our hands over our hearts and using WAY too much to be healthy (we asked for a second order at our table for two). The food was also very very good. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu sandwich, which I expected to be heavy and greasy. It arrived and looked like it might have been greasy, but on first bite I realized it was actually quite light and delicate. It did taste exactly like chicken cordon bleu- despite most restaurants that attempt this having their food taste nothing like it's namesake. My friend ordered a veggie wrap and loved it just as much. Though, she was pretty fixated on the fried pickles. All in all, I'd say they made a really good impression and I look forward to them opening a location near me. read more

Super impressed with this place! Stopped in on a Saturday night on a whim. Husband had a chicken caesar salad ("delicious") and I had the kale brussel salad with shrimp ("also delicious"). The kitchen was unbelievably accommodating about customizing both dishes to suit our preferences. Cocktails were yummy. Best of all, our waiter Shain was top notch. Definitely stop here! read more

This restaurant is a great find for the area. The food is very good, and they have a great variety of options and flavors. The service was also great. 110 had indoor and outdoor seating, and we chose to eat outside because of covid. The only drawback to this restaurant is that it is slightly expensive, but considering it is one of a few good restaurants in the area it can get away with it and I would still recommend going. read more

Went for lunch, and the food was excellent. Service was attentive, and good. They have a few local beers on tap, which is a big plus as well. I've been to a few 110 Grills and they are always good. Very consistent with food, service and beverages. Met family at this location last night. We were so happy we made a reservation (through Open Table) because it was packed at 6-6:30pm (on a Friday night). There was almost no parking in the immediate lot! We were seated in the back of the restaurant and it was very crowded until about 7:00pm when people started to leave. The service was slow to start but then got better as our night went on. The firecracker shrimp was tasty, wings were cooked perfectly and the fried pickles were good. I really enjoyed my drink. Full of flavor and worth the cost. Their tomato soup is my favorite so I ordered a cup of that and the beet salad. The salad had just a smidge too much dressing but I ate it anyways! The salmon was also ordered at our table and it was a touch undercooked. I think this was due to how busy it was! Overall, I enjoyed my time and would return. read more
