I've been here a few different times, and I am underwhelmed each time. The interior is cozy, aesthetically pleasing, and great for playing games and hanging with a group of friends. Unfortunately, that's where the positive part of this review ends. The drinks I've had are decent, but there are definitely better tea and coffee drink options within a 5-minute driving distance from here. Not every drink has to be a shining star, but for how much I paid I was expecting better. Prior to the newest wave of inflation, one drink was already approaching $8. On a recent trip with a friend, a SMALL milk tea was more than $8 and she said it was good but not $8 good. Every time I have been here, the drinks take an unusually long time to be ready even if I'm the only person there. It's frustrating to wait and then be served a mediocre beverage. On a side note, this is not a good place to study. In short, 1102 is a skip. Maybe I'll try it again a looong time from now in the hopes things change. Mid meaning, average nothing special. our order was totaled almost $17.5 for one large drink and one small drink. the prices for the drinks are no where to be found, thus when we were told our total we were shocked. It was a big disappointment and is a deserved 0/5 if the drinks themself weren't enough to drive you away from this place, the staff they decided to place at the front was questionable. i understand that everyone speaks differently, but please hire a cashier that will speak loudly and clearly that people can understand. a quiet person who makes no eye contact that looks like they don't even wanna be there is not the type of person you should hire. Along side their unfriendly demeanor, when we asked about the menu items and what they were, the cashier told us he has no clue what was in the drinks. HOW IS THAT ALLOWED? Not bad. I had the milk tea with tapioca. The milk tea wasn't anything special, but the tapioca was pretty good. The interior is filled with small potted plants, and there are a couple of tables that are similar to what you'd find in a tatami room: Cushions to sit on the floor with. Drinks are on the expensive side too. I bought basic drink in the smallest size, but it almost cost $5. I am going to stick with Tea Scoop, where you can watch the workers brewing tea in front of you. But all their advertisements about new drinks and such are chock full of typos. This was the one bubble tea place I was able to get ahold of to find out they were open on Christmas. This was our first time and it exceeded every expectation. They have the cutest set up, booth seating with pillows, lots of plants/trees, the decor was overall very cute! We can appreciate the tea drinks but we prefer the sweet smoothies and blended drinks. We ordered chocolate cookies with boba, non dairy strawberry smoothie with lychee and chicken dumplings. Both drinks were delicious! The chocolate cookie was the perfect amount of sweet, very chocolatey and the boba was soft. My daughter is obsessed with strawberry and it didn't disappoint. My boyfriend said the dumplings were delicious! Very crisp and good quality. Anthony, who took our order, was very patient and kind knowing that it was our first time there. You have the option to order on a kiosk but with our daughters milk allergy I always prefer to order at the counter so there's no mixup. So I saw they had a bucket full of boba chains and asked if I can take 2 for me and my sister, the cashier said yes. The interior of the store is so cute and they have a couple of places to sit (once this pandemic lifts up) I got the jasmine green milk tea with a black tea base, boba added to it and at a regular level of sugar. The tea was decent, however I realized I should have changed the base of the tea, the aftertaste wasn't pleasant. I'll have to change my order next time and try some of their food. I had 1102 reasons to love this place, but I just didn't. I adore the decor, the service is magnificent, but in terms of products, it falls short. They look beautiful, they taste extremely mediocre. The decor and Imagination and inventiveness of 1102 is definitely five stars. It's so pretty in here and there's a nice pink tree and lots of cute little seating and a table under the tree and the walls are really cute and I could go on and on. And I will. They have cat pillows and who doesn't love cat pillows. I wish we would have brought our cats with us. Unfortunately I didn't like the products very much. Barbie thought the milk teas were pretty good and her lychee tea was okay but I really didn't like any of them. Then there was the whole business of the Potted Plant ice cream. Okay this is probably the coolest looking thing you will ever order and it's served with a mini rake and a mini shovel. How could you not love it? Well - because it really doesn't taste like anything. They stick crumbled up tasteless biscuit on top of tasteless chocolate ice cream. It's absolutely enormous so four people should probably order it to share, and even then if you like good ice cream don't expect to like this, because it's really bland and boring and they probably bought it from the store (sigh), but then I bought I bought my Barbie's body parts from a store so it's okay. The decor and service are so amazing, that I can't give less than 4 stars. Besides, Barbie would give their teas a 4, even if I wouldn't. We came back to give this place another try after a few years, but left being disappointed. Firstly, we were confused when we walked in because there seemed to be no one. However, we did figure out that we were supposed to order from the kiosk in the front (the worker was just standing there in the back and was not welcoming). Secondly, the prices were quite high, especially given the tastes of the drinks. I ordered aloe Vera as a topping for my drink, expecting it to fit through the straw. Instead, there was just a couple pieces of the aloe Vera usually found at the asian market (the FOCO brand aloe Vera dessert). To specify, the drinks we got were lychee jasmine tea, strawberry jasmine tea, and hazelnut milk tea. The tea was a bit too bitter/heavy for my liking and the hazelnut milk tea was a bit too strong as well (likely due to too much hazelnut syrup). Thirdly, under all the decorations, the place felt quite sticky. Overall, I probably won't return here again. read more

What really knocked down the stars was the service. My friend is allergic to seafood and she asked the person working there for the ingredients and he listed them forgetting about listing shrimp. When she ate it, she tasted it and explained to him the situation of how she's allergic and asked if possible could she either exchange it for something else that doesn't have seafood or could she get a refund. He had to ask the manager and they said that it's not their fault so a refund was not valid. Also, their entire menu has seafood in it so nothing could be exchanged. I loved the decor and the service was excellent. I had a series of questions since I've never tasted some of the tea flavors, and the girl at the counter was so helpful offering advice on what she felt were strong flavors, popular flavors, etc. They offer samples of the basic flavors. Pictured is Bánh Trúng Nuong(grilled egg cake), Bánh Tráng Nuong(rice paper taco), Bánh Trang Tron(rice paper salad), and Bánh Mi Nuong Moui, crunchy French bread with a unique twist. I definitely recommend the rice paper taco if you love crunch and meat! All the dishes have great flavor balancing and you can't go wrong with any of them! The only down side is probably the wait. Even if you're the only one there it takes 10+ minutes for the food to come out, mainly because everything is made to order. I repeat. MADE TO ORDER. Sooo worth it. If you're wanting a lightbulb drink, you're limited to only the basic milk teas, with none of the eye catching flavors such as tiramisu. It's sad but at least you get a good sized light bulb and during my last visit I got to keep it. HUEHUEHUE. Overall this is a great way to treat yourself if you're in the area. Cute little boba shop hidden in a strip of stores. Well advertised on Instagram and social media. The interior is so cute but much smaller than I expected when stepping into the store. The prices were higher than most boba places. The boba was okay but I've had better boba drinks elsewhere. Of course, if you want the little glass bulb for your drink, it's extra cost but you get to take it home with you. Also tried their ice cream that comes in a pail with crushed oreos on top to look like dirt. They even put a real basil leaf sprouting out of the dirt. Very cute design but also highly priced. I placed my order and was told it would be a wait of at least 20 minutes since there were some orders ahead of me. I went off to run an errand and returned about 30 minutes later. My teas were ready and the small cup is just adorable. The boba consistency was good but I didn't love my tea... like at all... but I don't think it's their fault because I picked the tea and shouldn't have since I don't like honey. I don't say that lightly, I've been to their Carrolton location and Arlington location and I've noticed that this is a bad workplace environment for the employees (they don't get to keep their own tips). I also noticed at the Carrolton location reviews the owner is not very honest with the whole dairy free claim. I still decided to come here because it was open late and I ordered the almond mocha iced blended but it was literally just pure almond extract that was so strong and chemical like that I just had to toss my drink right after taking two sips, it's like I paid $5 for no reason, I guess I just paid $5 to walk into the store and out. This place is just the cutest! I always come here when I have a little time on my hands. It's the perfect place to meet with friends or a date. The atmosphere and ambiance of this place is so cool. The two booths are absolutely adorable! They have small little benches that are so low to the ground it feels like you're almost sitting on the floor, which I actually love. They have little pillows out for decoration as well. The staff here are always so friendly and patient! They have regular tables available for seating as well. 1102 Bubble Tea has a wide selection of card and board games for guests to use which I've used during multiple dates. I can never miss out on an opportunity to play Uno! This place has a really wide selection of drinks. From teas to sodas, they always have something that fits my mood. They also have a small selection of snacks and sweets available but I've never really tried those since the drinks usually fill me up. Their Italian soda is just the best, I get it almost every time I go. Although I love all of their flavors, the Sunset one is my favorite, it looks the prettiest and it tastes the best to me. It's a really fun drink to order. They provide a straw for you to stir the cream in with the soda itself and you get to watch a transformation take place in your glass! Another one of my favorite things here are their plain fruit teas. There isn't one flavor I don't like so I'll just go ahead and recommend them all! You get to choose how sweet they make it which is an added plus for me.
