I am recommending this brewery because I've been here many times over the years and I've always had a pleasant experience. I am not a huge craft beer lover but I've never been dissatisfied with the variety that 13th Child offers. The atmosphere is very relaxed and quiet. A huge plus is that the bar tender is always pleasant and nice. I don't know a lot about craft beer but I never feel awkward; the staff are more than happy to explain each brew to help make a decision. You can always get a flight of beers if you're unsure of what you like. The prices are reasonable too. Support this local business as often as possible! read more

My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. Over the course of a few hours while watching the Phillies lose in extra innings (sigh...), we each had a flight and two individual pours. It's a small brewery so there were only ten beers on tap, and between the two of us we tried just about all of them. We are total beer lovers and really enjoyed everything we had, but there was nothing on the taplist that truly blew us away. A lot of amber beers and IPA's but no porters or stouts. Seating is mostly at high top tables with bar stools, and a view of the brewing tanks. Friendly bartender and ample parking across the street. Dog friendly. read more

Not a great experience. Arrived a couple minutes before closing and were immediately reminded of it by staff. I assumed they would be open until 10. Grabbed a beer from the friendly, personable female bartender, while the male was obviously miffed we visited. There were about 8-10 other customers seated when we arrived. We enjoyed a beer and left 25 minutes later after we were turned away from another drink. The other patrons were still there when we left, as were the employees. Just not a friendly vibe from a neighborhood corner brewery. And my wife is from town so this won't be on my list in the future. The exception was the female bartender who was very friendly and offered tastings of beer without hesitation. read more

What a nice little brewery located in Williamstown, NJ! Right on the corner with a parking lot across from them. Stopping in for some brews couldn't get any easier! The inside was smaller than I thought from the looks of it from the outside, but still a great place to relax. We were there on a rainy Saturday, and the crowd was small. From observation, we noticed they were the owners sitting right next to us the whole time! Good group of guys, always checking to see if we needed anything and making suggestions for us! They even had live music going on which made the place even better as the crowd grew! Now for the brews: They do flights! Yay... some places due to Covid either do them or they don't. So happy so I can try before committing. - Lawd of Cherries: Strong Dark ale... this one is so good that will creep up on you! - Nice Pinenipples: I was drawn to the name haha.. but this is their Milkshake IPA... it was my favorite! An easy to drink IPA.. pretty refreshing with not too much of a bite that you get from typical IPAs - Dad's Regular: Cream Ale... light, smooth and refreshing. - Punk in the Trunk: Pumpkin Stout.. why not?! I had been curious about this place and have wanted to try it since it opened, as I lived upstairs in their building 18 years ago. I finally got to go there last night and was absolutely, positively blown away. It's an old bank and it's somewhat small inside, but they've done an awesome job of making that space work for them. Having the brewing tanks right in the tasting room is an awesome touch, and the architecture from 1906 works very well with it. It was extremely busy last night, due to it being their third anniversary, but the folks behind the bar were absolutely awesome. On top of that, they have a really eclectic, but absolutely awesome group of patrons in there, who appreciate good beer, which, in its own right, is absolutely superb. Shout out to the guy wearing the kilt and to the staff and ownership of Axe & Arrow. It was great meeting and speaking with some really great people. This place is a "must have" on my list of regular breweries to visit. read more

Stopped for the first time today. They had just opened and were already pretty busy. Very cool look inside with the barrels exposed. Owner was working and he was very nice. I had the Devil in a Red Dress. It was delicious. I will be back when in the area. read more

13th Child in Williamstown was the 70th brewery I have visited within New Jersey alone. It is really nice to see breweries move into Williamstown because it's helping to bring more foot traffic there. They attract a sizable crowd, too, and it has a very laid-back feel. When walking into the brewery, you will say, "wow!" It is built inside a former bank from the year 1906. The hardwood and tile floor is totally gorgeous. It has a really nice layout, which is comparable only to Manskirt Brewing all the way up in Hackettstown, which is also built inside a former bank. The beer that impressed me the most was their Oktoberfest Märzen. So many smaller breweries can't seem to brew lagers because they take a longer 6-7 weeks to store. So, it was nice to see 13th Child make that investment. Their pumpkin beer also did not taste like a candle, but rather had a fall spice kick to it. The only thing is that their bar area could be bigger, but you would hardly notice that. read more

Dam another terrible brewery. I gave the 13th Child Brewery a second chance, and they disappointed again. First the smell when you walk into the brewery is so strong it burns your nose. The chemical smell is going to kill someone. It was there both times I was there. The beer borderline homebrew, a lot of off flavors and ales that don't match up with the style they are supposed to be. They had eight beers on tap, seven were very bad. I had to get out of there because I was feeling sick from the chemical smell in the air. read more

Came here using a Groupon. Will absolutely come back! We came on a Saturday evening and it had a good amount of people. The place is small but had a nice quaint feel. As the evening went on, it actually became pretty packed. It was a night when live music was playing and it set a nice vibe. Service was great, employees were friendly. There were 8 beers on tap and part of the Groupon was a flight for 2 so the hubby and I were able to taste all the beers. We ended up getting a couple more pints of the one we liked the best and took home a large growler of it. Can't wait to return when they have a food truck which they do on occasion. read more

The server, possibly owner had the personality of a snail. We tried 2 different flights, not one good beer. Their was excessive street traffic coming in to use the rest rooms, a mother and child not drinking beer eating McDonalds at one of the few high top tables. In a word, bad. In two words, not good. The space is cute and seems clean, but the beer itself is nothing to write home about. We tried the Dub Town IPA, Blonde on the Corner, Squankum, and Tara's Golden Gift. The only that was remotely drinkable was the Blonde. We've been to breweries around the country. My husband and I stopped in on the afternoon of July 4th. We're both more familiar with wineries but I've been wanting to try more of the local breweries. Of the few breweries I have visited in Gloucester County, this one was my favorite so far. The beer selection and taste was great in a comfortable atmosphere. Pretty cool spot this is. The way it's on the corner building is awesome. It's a small little place but they have really maximized their space and have a cold layout. Plenty of TVs and 8 beers on tap it's not a bad way to spend a couple of hours. I would definitely come back another time. read more

Decent, intimate atmosphere. I got a flight, and wasn't disappointed in any of the selections at all. The only odd thing is that my growler fill up was $20.00. I've never run into such a price on a 64oz growler fill. Overall decent experience, just not sure of the benefits of having a growler. Bummer! read more

Was worried about not able to find good beer after leaving Florida, especially considering New Jersey's draconian and authoritarian regulations incoming alcohol, but this place is literally down the street from me and priced I can find good brews outside of Florida. New England IPA was good. Service was just okay. We showed up when they opened, and even though they let us in the door, they weren't ready for customers. We stood there and watched them set up for 5 minutes, which was awkward. If it was my business, I would have been bending over backwards to make paying customers feel comfortable and welcome.
