Needed a smog certificate from a STAR station. Used Yelp to get quick quotes. Decided to try 15 Minute Smog Check based on their quick and complete response, their stellar ratings and location. Arrived on a Saturday at 10:15 am. Was driving away before 10:30 am with my approved smog certificate, which was electronically sent to the DMV by this business. All I had to do was log on to the DMV and pay the fee. So easy. Clean station. Friendly attendant. Couldn't have been happier with the service. read more

This was an amazing experience. Smog check was done fast, even though there was a slight issue with a computer. Technician who was working on a smog check went above and beyond to resolve the issue and finish smog check fast, which I do appreciate a lot. He also accepted Yelp coupon which was amazing, 10$ off, and gave me additional discount for waiting because of the computer issue. Very professional and very respectful. Would go back anytime. If I could leave 0 stars I would... DO NOT COME HERE TOTAL SCAM! I went today to bring in my vehicle to do a smog check, the man didn't do anything and automatically said my car failed due to me supposedly having my catalytic converter removed without even touching my car or even looking under it? The car I have has never even been modified. Seemed like he just wanted to charge me more money for absolutely nothing. I then took my car to another place and my car passed automatically. THIS PLACE WILL TRY TO WORK YOU OUT OF MORE MONEY STAY AWAY!! read more

Mike was awesome! He was quick, respectful, and I got my Camry smog checked within 15 minutes. Service is $65 total, but they have a $15 off coupon on their website, and he said that if I checked in on Yelp, I would get $20 off instead. I also overheard the mechanics from next door walking over to tell him that people keep going there to request his services, he must be a popular guy! read more

Located in a 76 gas station (I missed it thinking it was a separate entity), service was fast and quick. I did have to wait for another person to wrap up their test. Once that was done (less than 10 minutes), I was able to get set up and then out of there in less than 15 minutes. It was uncommonly fast. Friendly service, fast, efficient. This is now new ownership; the previous tall guy is gone. New owners seem very nice. New company is "Smog Dog LLC." A tip for those who are handicapped - there's no access, but they'll bring papers to you to read, the card reader for you to pay. In and out in less than half an hour - still fast. read more

Wow wow wow! Excellent service! If there's one thing I can't stand most in this world, it's wasting my time. I hadn't realized when I renewed my registration online I needed a smog check. I looked online for somewhere in my area that seemed quick and reliable and called 15min smog to ask if I could bring my car over today, and how long it would take. The guy on the phone said I could and it'd be around 10min. Drove right over, pulled in, they were finishing with another client, he left, they pulled my car in, and I was out in minutes. If there were ever a 5 star service, this place is it. So simple, so easy. There's a $10 off coupon with yelp check in or on their website. If you need a smog, definitely bring your car here. Also, noticed another man here offering an older gentleman help with his dmv registration. Very sweet. Fantastic! Wow...probably the fastest smog check I've ever experienced. I stopped by a bit after 9am and there was just one person finishing up and paying ahead of me. My overall wait time was probably 10min, if that. I checked in on Yelp and got $10 off, so I paid $39.95. If you want to pay an additional $35 fee, the guy will also process your car registration through the DMV, so you don't have to. Presumably, it doesn't include whatever your car registration fee is....I didn't opt for this so I'm not 100% sure how it all works. The place is a simple, one-stall drive-thru located on the corner of Whitsett and Moorpark, in what looks like a former gas station. There were other auto repair stalls (other businesses) that were adjacent and this one is on the outside, so it was easy to access. I recommend coming here! read more

Good 'ol fashioned honest work. I have an '86 Vette that not many places will attempt to smog. Oren, the smog tech, immediately smiled when I pulled in and made me feel like everything was gonna be fine. It was. And truly in less than 15 minutes. Advice for older/classic cars, put some 100 octane gas topped off with Chevron 91-3 Premium to ensure the cleanest burn (Google to find the few stations that sell 100 Octane in California near you). The owner, Jerry, is a gem as well. Call ahead if you have a unique or older car and they will guide you on things to check to help your car pass smog the first time because they charge either way. read more

Then he informed me that he was at the dentist. will not be returning until 11:15. Had been working with this shop to have my car pass smog for over a year now. It needed a new cadillac converter that was unavailable. It took some time to acquire and purchase and install this part. After the shop reported that the emissions control was tampered with, it was unavailable to be dealt with anywhere else. Finally, when all repairs were completed and ready for inspection and testing. The shop refused. The rep said. Oh, I remember you, and I have the right to refuse to test your car again. You will need to have it tested somewhere else, I will not want to lose my license over this. They claim that if it fails, we will retest. However, rather than retesting it, they assumed that I fraudulently manipulated the exhaust system to pass. After taking it to another shop, it passed in 5 minutes. Do not waste your time at this facility. Kudos to Union Discourt Tire the and In & Out Smog in Burbank for completing my test with no hickups. Strongly recommend them. best recommendation is to stay away from Union Smog in North Hollywood.

I came to this smog shop after seeing a $45 quote on their Yelp page for a 2016 Jeep Sahara. When I arrived, I asked the technician if he had time, and he said yes--just after finishing the car he was working on. Once it was my turn, I handed him my paperwork, and he suddenly told me the price was $55. I mentioned the $45 quote I saw online, but he rudely responded, "For this car, it's more." This felt like a classic bait-and-switch--advertising one price just to change it when you show up. On top of that, he was unprofessional and rude throughout the interaction. I calmly asked for my paperwork back and told him I'd be taking my business elsewhere. To make matters worse, he was smoking inside the shop, which is not only unprofessional but also dangerous--especially considering this location is part of a gas station. That alone raises serious safety concerns. Overall, poor customer service, dishonest pricing, and risky behavior. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

First of all.... The 15 minute title was a complete farce. I was there for 9 minutes. Right off the bat Isaac offered me a bottled water. I asked him if he knew of a place that I could get a slow leak in one of my tires fixed. He gave me two options and then began to check and inflate all my tires. Then as the process went on, garbage gentlemen arrived to empty the dumpster of the next door neighbor. I had an excellent experience getting my smog check done here. The staff was friendly, professional, and made the entire process quick and stress-free. I was in and out much faster than expected, and everything was clearly explained to me. The shop was clean, organized, and easy to find, which I really appreciated. Pricing was fair with no hidden surprises. It's hard to find honest and efficient service these days, but this place truly delivers. I can't be the only person who feels extremely unhappy to open a DMV registration renewal and see the words "Smog Inspection required." It's always so inconvenient and and I hate dealing with it--period. HOWEVER, my experience at this place was quick, painless and even enjoyable! Isaac is the coolest... Anytime I have to get a smog test I am coming here! I found 15 minute Smog Check by doing a Yelp Project Search. You receive a $20 off coupon when you check in. It's attached to the 76 Gas Station on the SE corner of Woodman & Victory (enter in Woodman). There's a mini-mart at the gas station, plus a couple of chairs outside to sit while you wait. He was finishing up one car when we arrived. It took less than 15 minutes to complete our car, total cost including certificate & $20 discount was $45. read more

Great experience here, I go here every time I need a smog check. Isaac, the technician, was nice enough to accommodate the three people who showed up 20 minutes before he closed on a Friday. The whole process took about ten minutes. They also have a $10 coupon available on their website, so the whole cost was $40. Highly recommended! read more

I stopped by here on my lunch break from work and started the timer. 15 mins later, my car was done! Great guy who runs the place. He gave me a seat in the shade and a nice cold water to help fight the valley heat. Definitely coming back for my next one. read more
