    three different flavors of gelato
    Jane L.

We were driving around after seeing a movie and we wanted something sweet. We noticed Guerriero Gelato and we even checked the Yelp reviews to find out feedback. Thank You Yelp. Staff friendly and accommodating. Had so many gelatos to select from. Got a sample of the Chocolate Raspberry- that is definitely a winner. Got the three scoops of gelato in a cup. *Baci Chocolate- If you love Baci Perugina- this is the one to get. *Chocolate Raspberry what a blend. *Pistachio- nice balance. I think I over did it with the chocolates. There were chairs and tables in another area where you can sit and enjoy your treats. There were wall hangings and tons of articles- magazine, news clipping, etc... about Guerriero Gelato. Love the purple color tables and chairs. Even the door to the bathroom is purple. Awesome Ambiance with music playing in the background to enjoy your sweet treats. I am definitely a fan. I was in Aruba last year and had the Gelatissimo Artisanal Gelato. Guerriero Gelato is even better. Will be back again now that we found this place. "Rated #5 Place to Eat before you die." Saw this sign on glass of the store.

This spot has such delicious gelato! They have so many unique flavors, too. I love that they even have a variety of dairy free options. I got the vegan mango peach verdi, and it's super tasty. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and tangyness.

We stopped here on a Friday night and ofc it was crowded. The service was good and the gelato was really tasty. I especially enjoyed the pistachio and vanilla bean flavors. They have outdoor seating and some seats inside too. Also there's ample parking available.

If you're looking for a variety of delicious ice cream and gelato flavors, definitely give Gelotti a try. I've been here four times so far and am looking forward to the next trip. Not only are the employees friendly and upbeat, but the ice cream is delicious. Highly recommend getting one of their hand-dipped waffle cones and the Cookie Monster flavor!

After coming here for the second time to try their gelato ice cream, I think 3 stars best describes this place. The blueberry basil gelato was very unique. The blueberry and basil flavor are very strong, you can even taste the bits of basil sprinkled in the gelato. However, the cannoli gelato wasn't very good. The gelato wasn't smooth at all, the consistency was similar to regular hard ice cream. The flavor of the cannoli just tasted like vanilla. The gelato is very pricey and not that great, only certain flavors taste good. I would rather go somewhere else for better gelato.

Great place to go if you want to spend $4 on a kids size freezer burnt Italian ice with multiple foreign plastic objects in it

Having been to Gelotti's in Totowa/Paterson many times, I was hesitant to try the West Caldwell location. Would they have the same selection of flavors? Would the ice cream be just as fresh? Luckily everything was pretty much exactly the same as the original location, even the long lines. One plus is that while it was busy, it certainly did not even come close to how busy the original location gets. There was a good selection of flavors - the traditional mint chocolate chip, vanilla etc... as well as the more "exotic" or interesting flavors. Ice cream itself tasted exactly the same as the original location in terms of consistency, flavor & freshness. Gelotti's is one of the best places in the surrounding area. It's nice to have another location to visit. There is plenty of room to sit outside and enjoy your ice cream, as well as a few tables inside.

My family, friends, and I came in late Tuesday night for ice cream after having dinner at a local Indian restaurant-Tashan. The creamy ice cream was a perfect end to a fun night out and we were glad to find this place open past 9pm! I got Übe ice cream myself after taste testing several of their ice creams. It's totally different from traditional ice cream, less sugary but still very sweet, and definitely tasted as advertised - similar to the purple yam from the Philippines. I'll definitely be coming back for more! The other ice creams were more traditional but still had a unique twist. Check out my picture for the flavors they had that day. I tried the duck sauce ice cream too, but it was unusual and I didn't see myself enjoying a full scoop of that, but you should definitely ask for a sample when you go! The blueberry basil will probably be what I try next time I visit. Some of my friends got different water ice flavors and they were very refreshing. I took off one star because unfortunately there wasn't much space to move around. Not really the stores fault for being so popular and being busy with people coming continuously, but definitely could have been more cozy if there was more space and dimmer lighting.

Big place, Good location, Lots of parking! Gelotti has a good selection of ice cream flavors, gelotti and soft serve. The place was filled with kids. We'll be back!

So I told myself the next time I pass by I would definitely stop to try some. This was the day. Walked in to find one family seated at a table, enjoying their gelato. And then a girl and a guy behind the counter, they were both sitting but when I came in , the girl popped up immediately to help which look , I don't mind them sitting at all , I wouldn't want to be standing the entire time either. What I didn't love was that the boy looked like he could care less that there was a customer and continued to just play on his phone. The girl was really nice. I asked her to try the cheddar cheese flavor which I thought was incredibly wild to even have as an option. And i'm still confused how you can make gelato taste like cheddar cheese , but still be a dessert, it was good! I decided on marscapone and black sesame and had a seat to enjoy my Gelato. The Mars Capone was absolutely delicious. It was creamy, it was the right consistency. On the other hand I didn't love the black sesame. It didn't have a very strong flavor and I didn't like the crunchy whole black Sesame seeds. Usually when I get black sesame somewhere , the seeds are pretty much ground up. Before I left , I took a second look at the flavors and definitely have to go back to try some more of the unique ones. I'm actually pretty shocked that they only have 3.7 stars, I enjoyed the Gelato, hope it wasn't a fluke!

There's also a printed sign proclaiming a limit of 2 samples, which is not enough; they have like 20 flavors. That said, I felt my mint chocolate chip was perfect: creamy and minty. The small size was $8 for a cup (and would've been +$1 for a waffle cone). I fully agree with other posters about how the staff is not nearly excited enough to be working in a gelato shop. Are their managers that bad?

The store was basically empty on the Sunday before the major black that happened on Monday. The two men near the register were chit chatting with each other and they hesitated to even come to assist us. As we browsed the Gelato options from left to right for a brief moment we then noticed a family of about five people came in. We immediately noticed the difference in response time to this family's arrival. One of the employees immediately went over towards our left as they entered and said, "Guys, when you are ready to order come over by the cash register." This is why it is important for business owners to train the people they hire about appropriate customer service because although the employees are not owners, they are representatives of the business. So business owners have to be careful about who they hire. Hmmmmm, how convenient for these new guests and inconvenient for us that we were not acknowledged until the employees felt compelled to share this ordering practice with a new group of patrons after we were already waiting. That behavior was enough for us to know it was time to walk out. I refuse to spend my money where I can see overt disrespect.

They taste like they use real flavoring and not artificial flavors. The way the containers are sold is what they call a regular, medium and large. We did see cones as well, but we were offered prices for the contaibners, so we went with that. You can have one or two flavors in the regular, up to three flavors in the medium and up to four flavors in the large container. Or, you can have just one flavor - up to you. Note to keep in mind: Gelato melts fairly quickly, so if you select flavors like chocolate, mango, and strawberry mascarpone and ricotta in the same container, you are going to have a gastro-nightmare in your mouth! Therefore, I recommend you select flavors that have similar ingredients or are complimentary in some way. As an example, we got the dark chocolate, the hazelnut mousse and chocolate crunch, and the stracciatella. Our favorite was the dark chocolate (plain). The hazelnut mousse was too grainy and sweet for our liking. The stracciatella was nice, but lacked depth of flavor to the gelato overall. Staff will let you try samples on a small spoon if you are undecided. The line can be long (out onto the side walk) to get in, and there are very few tables. So, when you make your order unless you are there on a "down time" be prepared to walk and eat your gelato (another reason to keep in mind the flavors in case of drips on your clothes)! The scoop is served standing up in the container. After the adjacent theaters let out, the line is long. We got a regular size container and with the tax and tip it was just a little over $11. The regular size container is suited to one person. The medium can potentially serve two people if you share "nicely" with each other! They also sell yogurt and coffee drinks. We were in town just for a few days, so we only tried three flavors, but if we were back in the area again, we would try some of the fruit-flavors they sell. Enjoy!

We actually arrived an hour before opening, but the owner -- who was sitting outside with another person -- greeted us with a big smile and invited us in anyway. He asked where we were from and spoke passionately about crafting his flavors fresh every day, using real ingredients. You could tell he genuinely cares about the experience. He offered us a sample of a dragon fruit flavor he was experimenting with -- it was light, clean, and bursting with natural fruit flavor. No artificial aftertaste, just smooth, refreshing perfection. We ended up ordering the pistachio baklava, and it was hands-down one of the best gelatos we've ever had. The pistachio was rich, nutty, and full-bodied -- not that artificial green stuff you get in most places. The baklava pieces added just the right amount of texture and sweetness, without overpowering the balance. It was creamy without being too heavy, and every bite made you want to slow down and savor it. There was also plenty of parking, and we got to sit outside to enjoy our treat in peace. We never felt rushed -- just welcomed and appreciated. We were so caught up in the moment, we forgot to ask his name -- but his kindness and passion won't be forgotten. This place is a gem. If you're looking for authentic, thoughtfully made gelato, this is it. We'll definitely be back -- probably with friends. *Update: We went back to Bosa Gelato last night and loved the experience even more. The place was very active and spotless, even during the final hour before closing. We shared a cone with strawberry and mint chocolate -- both flavors were delicious! The mint had a refreshing cooling effect without any lingering aftertaste, and the strawberry was perfectly sweet without being overpowering. The two young ladies working were super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. It was lovely to see the shop so lively at night!
