    16th Street Free Mall Ride

Need to get a lift between Union Station and the Colorado State Capital? Hop on the 16th Street Free Mall Ride. Easy to get to Union Station from the Denver Airport using the Denver Airport Rail. Nice to learn about the Free MallRide from the Hyatt Concierge. The free electric bus stops at each corner on 16th Street. There are luggage racks available as well. The buses run almost all day from around 5 AM to 1 AM. Nice to be able to hop on and hop off, especially after a long day spent exploring the parks, museums and shops in Downtown Denver.

Can people really complain about FREE? Of course they can, but let's face it no one has to ride it :) I love the convenience of the free mall ride if I'm headed someplace on or near 16th street. It picks up at civic center station downtown and ends at union station, just over a mile away. All along the way it stops at *almost* every street. So depending how many are running at the time and where you're headed, it's true, it "might" be quicker to walk. But, if you're tired of walking, have a long way, or catch it in perfect timing, it's really helpful! The driver is behind glass for their safety. Not sure what's gone on in Denver, but it's been in the news (even in my hometown of Milwaukee, WI) that (sadly) bus drivers have at times been victims of violence!

I like free things that are useful and this fits the bill! The buses run frequently during the day so if you miss one another will come along quickly. The stops are well marked and it's so easy to use, even a tourist can do it! I was able to pick it up right by Union Station and take it to the street my hotel was on and it was super easy. Buses are easy to enter and leave. There is a large transient population in Denver and these folks make use of this free service just like everyone else and I could tell it made some of the tourists uncomfortable when one of these individuals plopped down in a seat right next to them. I ride the E train every day so I encounter that a lot but for people who aren't used to mass transit, it may be a wake up call. Not saying that is a bad thing at all...it's good to "pop the bubble" that some people live in. Service starts early and runs late, so if you're downtown having fun, no need to rush, you can still hop on the bus.

I absolutely love free things, and I love free transportation even more. As a citizen from the city that ups its public transportation and parking meter rates as often as it possibly can, I really appreciate all kinds of free transportation. The MallRide leaves from the base of the Capitol at the beginning of the mall and drives up and down the mall all day. Though the mall is only one mile long, the MallRide stops at every block and allows passengers to get on/off as they please. No need to ring a bell, the bus will stop anyway! On those hot summer days, this really provides some much needed relief from the sun. Also helpful for those just a bit too lazy to walk from one end to the other if that's your destination. I don't know why so many people rate this so poorly. Sure, there are some colorful characters on the bus, but aren't there everywhere? I enjoy the guy who is singing or preaching on the bus - he adds a little bit of funny to my day and I like that. The MallRide buses were clean and comfortable, even when they were packed. The layout provides a lot of standing space so there isn't a ton of awkward touching (as there are on some older Chicago buses - ewww). I love the MallRide and I'll just take it back and forth the next time I come to Denver.

It's the best free bus I've ever taken. Never too crowded, very frequent buses, and a+ drivers.

    Need ride to zoo?

The MallRide only goes up and down the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver, not to the zoo, which is in City Park, five miles east. You can take the MallRide to Civic Center Station or Union Station, then catch a regular RTD bus to the zoo.

For about $70 per person, you'll meet up at Black Shirt Brewing in RiNo, Denver, a few hours before your show. After check-in, you can imbibe some food and beverages if you'd like while waiting for the bus. You can also bring food and beverages on the bus (including alcohol), which is pretty cool. Then you'll board the bus and, depending on who you end up riding with, you might party for the 45-minute ride, or maybe you'll chill. Our ride landed somewhere in the middle. The company and driver are very concerned about the vibes. They have a full code of conduct and encourage everyone to wear nametags, socialize, and mention how they want the "vibes" to be good the entire time. While I am all for vibes, for $70 a pop, I should be able to vibe however I want. The departure takes a bit longer. The bus will wait for you down at the lowest lot at Red Rocks. It's quite a walk. Once boarded, you'll probably be in for a longer ride to get out of the parking lot and get back to Denver. They do offer drop-off at three partner hotels, which worked great for us as we stayed in one. Plus, we were able to get a hotel discount through an affiliate link. Overall, a great experience and a fantastic way to get to Red Rocks. I just felt like the pricing was a bit high and the focus on the "vibes" was a bit intense for the price I paid.

The bus only came 1 time to the hotel before the wedding to grab guests, which was not the designated time. Most guests missed the shuttle entirely and had to pay for ubers and hitch rides with each other. The pickup time for the wedding party was completely disregarded, all had to drive. Many guests were not on time for the wedding ceremony because of this and my husband was panicked trying to get in touch with the shuttle service right before the ceremony. This was not a fun surprise on our wedding day (as we're meant to start the ceremony) that the shuttle service is the one messing things up & not getting our guests to the venue as PREplanned and PREdiscussed. Many of the guests had to drive themselves and guests were panicked trying to hitch rides with wedding guests they didn't know just to get there in time. At the end of the night, the shuttle came at the wrong time again. Many of the guests left early for fear the shuttle just wouldn't come back & they'd be left... again. Those that did catch the second shuttle had to wait outside of the wedding venue for 30 minutes in the cold. Pretty sure only about 20 people out of 150 planned guests got to use the shuttle. This was not a cheap purchase and we are extremely disappointed in the service we received/lack of any service here. Hoping the business will refund us some of the money for the lack of service we got.

Devon is such a wonderful tour guide; incredibly accommodating and professional. He was really informative about the area. Stopped to let me get a close look at elk and even a moose. We had a lovely lunch at a cafe at the top of the mountains. I loved the weather, it was 80 when we left, then it rained, then it hailed, then it snowed! On the way back, Devon casually tosses out, "Do you like pie?" WHO doesn't like pie?! He stopped at a little place he knows where a woman in her 80's makes homemade pie (Colorado Cherry Company), but unfortunately, it was closed (so whe had to stop for ice cream further down the road). Devon and I talked throughout the entire tour (which was about 7 hours) about books and our love for animals and nature and our lives; as we drove through some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere. Businesses like this are typically hard…read moreto find on yelp because the search criteria is usually related to your geographic location. I live in South East Denver but was looking to have a couple buses pick up a large group after a pre-game in downtown Denver. There were a total of around 55-65 people that I needed to get transported from Downtown to the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, CO. The game plan was to meet and start partying around 5pm-6pm then head out to the concert around 8:30pm-9pm at the latest. Then, after the concert, have the same buses get us from 1st Bank Center back to where it all began or to the next bar to keep the party going. This type of an event has a lot of moving parts with a lot of people and opinions involved. The transportation is key and that is where my interaction with 303 Party bus comes into play. I called and spoke to Nick. He is the owner of the company. He was very consultative and wanted to make sure that he got every detail. He spent about 45 minutes on the phone with me as we combed over every single detail. You could tell that he knew how important this piece of the puzzle was for me. He took great care during our conversation and even offered to send a detailed e-mail that confirmed everything that we decided on. I reserved two of their buses for this event and he ensured me that they would arrive promptly at 8:15pm to be ready to transport me and all of my friends. On the night the event I received a call right at 8:15pm to let me know that both buses were parked out front and ready to go when we were. I believe we walked out the front door at 8:45-ish and to my surprise, not only were both buses waiting right outside for us, Nick himself had stopped by to meet me in person and make sure that everything was to my liking. He walked me through each bus quickly and showed me where everything was, that I could possibly need. He introduced me to both drivers and ensured me that they would take care of everything or anything that I could need. We packed up the leftover booze, I grabbed the iPods and we loaded everyone into the buses. Let me just say that the name, 303 Party Bus, couldn't be any better. We literally, just moved the party from the pre-game spot to the buses. The lights were phenomenal, the seating was spacious and comfy, the ceiling was mirrored and the sound system was clean and BUMPIN! As all of my friends entered the buses I couldn't help but feel like "THE MAN" as they oohhed and ahhed over how awesome these buses were out of this world! Both drivers, Mark and Tom, were awesome guys, that completely understood the intentions of the night. They were laid back and easy going. Not like some other high strung antsy drivers that I have had with competitor companies! The best thing about the drivers where their attitudes, ability to navigate the roads quickly and safely, and I can't tell you enough about how grateful I was, when we were on the highway and someone needed to make a pitstop, without even the hint of annoyance Mark immediately moved over to take the next available exit! We got back on the road asap and got to the concert venue with plenty of time. We continued partying at the concert and once it was over headed back out of the venue to load back on the buses. I had set it up so one of the buses was to go back to the original pre-game sight and the other one was going to surpass the pre-game site and continue on to take the rest of the party animals to a favorite bar to enjoy the after party! I can't recommend 303 Party Bus enough! When you are sick you go to the Doctor. When your car's check engine light comes on, you call a mechanic. Trust me when I say that if/when you need to transport a large group of people YOU CALL 303 PARTY BUS! You will not be disappointed! Yelp on Yelpers!
