I went just the day before yesterday for a regular manicure and today it's just coming off in chunks. That same day I noticed my pointer finger already chipped off at the corner. I have a desk job, don't really work with my hands heavy duty. I did not clean with any harsh chemicals or anything like that so I am not sure why it is coming off like this. I have gotten a million manicures but it never came off this easily only after not even two days. On the plus side the service was great and the people are very helpful and nice.

Although I don't live full time in Wantagh, literally every time I'm in town monthly, I visit Lulu for either a manicure, pedicure or both. It's at the point where I'll try and schedule my trips around my manicure. My manicurist in NOLA doesn't do designs, so this was a special treat. Although I hadn't specified when making my appointment at Lulu that I wanted a design, they were able to get their nail design expert to work on me after my gel manicure was completed. So much love for the nail techs and the gentleman who works reception that I believe is the owner. Everyone is so kind and accommodating! Prices are so competitive, too. Favorite nail salon ever.

When the manager is present, the salon staff follow my requests without any issues, and I feel like my concerns are respected. However, when he isn't there--especially later in the day--the experience is completely different. The technicians seem to rush through the manicure, become argumentative when I ask for something specific, and often ignore my requests. One of my biggest concerns is the excessive use of the electric drill and UV lamp. I know what works best for my nails, and I have repeatedly explained that I do not want my natural nail bed damaged. Unfortunately, my preferences are often dismissed, and I feel pressured into a service I didn't ask for. It's frustrating because the exact same requests are honored when the manager is supervising, which tells me the staff are capable of following customer instructions. Customers deserve the same level of respect and care regardless of who is on duty. Consistency and listening to your clients should be a priority.
