I came back to New York for a bit and my mom brought me to this nail salon. I was really pleased and never felt rushed! The nail technicians really took their time and were so meticulous! Any process they did, they usually went over at least a second time with a finer tool to make sure they had done a proper job. The nail salon is also takes great care to be hygienic - fresh tools, clean facilities, use plastic liners for pedicures for each client. My pedicure looked great, and my gel mani was great too! My new go-to nail spot. Main reasons? They are open til 10pm on weekdays, prices are reasonable, and they do an amazing job. I've been here twice and had 3 different ladies work on my gel mani and pedi and they have all been exceptional. Earlier tonight, I came in at 9pm (with an appointment that I had just made 20 minutes prior). I asked if they had time for a gel mani and pedi, and they immediately said yes... no hesitation. It was a great feeling because I had anticipated having to skip the pedi due to lack of time. Not only were they extremely accommodating, they did not rush through it AT ALL. One of the ladies, Cathy, literally stood by the pedicure chair the entire time, working on my gel mani while I was getting my pedi. Cathy happened to be AMAZING at back massages too. I didn't get the name of the lady who did my pedicure (she wore glasses) - she also took her time on my pedi and worked on it til around 945pm...even though they were almost closing! They use hot stones here for regular pedicures - adds a nice little touch. She was very meticulous and did a great job. The first time I came, I had another lady (longer hair, wore heels) who also did an amazing job. Took me so many years to find a good nail salon in this area, and I'm glad I found this one! Recently moved to bethpage and needed to find a go to nail place. This place is amazing! The owner is a sweetheart.. they do all sorts of designs.. I was looking for a place that does an ombré design and they do it and looks amazing. They place is clean, not super fancy or anything but it does the job. I used to come here regularly for my nails and pedicures when it was under previous ownership and everyone was amazing- Chris did the best nails and Julie's pedicures were unlike any other- to this day I can't find anyone to match her pedicures. Unfortunately, my short lived experience today with new ownership was disappointing, to put it lightly. I walked in at 8:10pm for a pedicure after work- they are open until 10 which is a great selling point as many places are closed before I get out of work. I walked and was awkwardly greeted with a Hello, while everyone continued to do what they were doing. I stood there awkwardly before asking, what I thought was a silly question being that there was 1 client in the place, if I could get a pedicure. One woman walked over to the appointment book and asked me if I had an appointment. I did not. She then said nobody could do a pedicure. I thought she was joking. Four technicians and one client in the salon. All pedicure chairs empty. She said they had an appointment coming in at 8:30pm, 20 minutes after the time I walked in. I even clarified that all three technicians could not do a pedicure, as I was in such disbelief. I've never seen an empty nail salon turn away a client, especially with 20 minutes to do a pedicure. I wasn't even looking for anything special, no callous remover, nothing. As the manager of a salon and spa that does anything and everything to accommodate clients, this was Very frustrating and It is safe to say I will never return. read more

Tried the Nail Palace for the first time tonight. Was able to get a last minute, late appointment before a holiday. I did a powder gel manicure and I am very satisfied. It's not my normal place, but bc of the late hours, I went. Was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back. While I was there, another first timer came in. She did not want them to file down the gel before soaking. The manager explained that that was not the right way to do it. The customer insisted she do it her way, but the manager was not comfortable doing it without filing. The girl said she would do it but if a nail broke, she would put a bad review on yelp. So I'm on a mission to find my new spot. This place was recommended by a friend. I really wasn't impressed. There was carpeting which right away turns me off, it was old and worn and who knows what kind of chemicals are in it. They didn't have any special air filtration, I will hopefully be pregnant soon and looking for a place with quality filtration. There wasn't much variety of gel color choices. I love the atmosphere and the friendliness and calmness of the place , Anywho , this customer came in who called in for a last min appt it was her first time here and stressed a few times had her regular nail girl been in at another place she usually goes to she wouldn't be there , she asked them not to file her gel manicure off which is not natural nails by the way someone should tell her that , but the owner said all they do i scratch the top part of the paint to get the soaking process started or it will take a half hour alone to get off , she explained that they won't and do not file down to your Natural nail , they girl kept saying things about giving more of a tip and she's a customer and she should listen to what she wants and doesn't want , she gave in and said fine file but if a nail breaks I'm writing a BAD YELP REVIEW, the tech who was going to do her nails now was petrified to touch her , so the owner said sorry we don't have anyone to work on you now , the girl got up cursed the owner and she walked out went in her car and wrote a bad review anyway! I just came here tonight for the first time and I was highly impressed! I made an appointment yesterday for today, as I've been meaning to check out this nail salon for a while. They are the only nail salon I've found locally that has late hours-several days a week they stay open until 10pm. I love my regular nail salon but sometimes i would rather go after work instead of on my days off and I work past their closing times. So besides the convenience factor- Nail Palace was very sanitary. It is a small salon but the staff was very accommodating and friendly. I really felt like they did a scrupulous job. First of all, this place looks like a complete dump and is in my option. They upcharge on everything and was wayyyy to expensive for literally no reason. Everything is five dollars or more, more expensive than the other places around it, and honestly by the looks of it, it should be five dollars cheaper than the places around. Now I just got my nails done (powder gel ) after getting ripped off, my nails are now feeling like they're pulsing and I am in so much pain from my finger nails, this has never happened before and I looked it up, which says that this can happen from the technician filing too much of my nail off, or the gel was expired and causing fungus, so yes thank you to this nail salon for ruining my nails and also charging 10$ more than the average salon m.
