Imagine cocktail with gin and Greek yougurt. Very good

Stopped in as I have walked past this bar a few times. I would say a limited but tasty menu and the cocktails make up for the food. A well stocked bar and very good cocktails. I had a paper plane and the staff asked if they could swap in another ingredient instead of just doing it. Relaxing atmosphere with music playing. I had a chicken sandwich made with chicken tenders. The second drink was called Imagine... gin with Greek yogurt, lavender, lemon and chocolate dust on top. Creamy smooth and tart, very good. Would come again just for cocktails!

Cute cocktail bar. They have good drinks, and very good decor. We came here before Christmas, and they not only had the cutest Christmas decorations, but they also had cool Christmas themed drinks. From the regular menu, I would say their chocolate martini is one to try. It was sweet but also had a lot of alcohol. Their espresso martini was also very popular, however it was quite bitter, and didn't include the best espresso in my opinion

Incredible cocktail bar from the service to the drinks, this space is just completely on point. Really interesting and large menu creatively organized by spirit with a lot of creative options throughout. I opted for the Imagine ($10) a gin based drink with Greek yogurt that I thought was balanced and pristine and well-executed. A really excellent attempt at incorporating yogurt into a drink, a combination I've only ever seen in nyc to date. My second drink was a banana and mezcal based cocktail (la ultima banana) which was equally delicious albeit slightly less inventive. Presentation of both drinks was great and the space itself was whimsical but classy. This is a real star in the area. They have plenty of options and clearly very skilled bartenders, so I would absolutely try it again for other drinks on the menu. Vibe was immaculate. Great spot.

We stopped in while visiting Puerto Rico based on a recommendation from the hotel bartender. The cocktails are excellent. Presentation is top notch and they use quality ingredients and it shows in the every way. The attention to detail is everything. They don't skip a beat and anticipate needs. The rhythm is slow and jazzy here, so take a load off on one of their comfty chairs and relax while someone makes you a Stella cocktail. You have to show proof of vaccine to enter so come prepared.

Hands down the best cocktail bar in PR. Fantastic cocktails, great service, and the food is creative and delicious. It's a must stop when we visit the island. This was our second time visiting, the first was a few months back during their Negroni week. We were blow away by the creative and masterful cocktails that we made it a point to visit again. Andi the server is top notch! Remembered us from our first visit and provided exceptional on point service again.

Stayed at the double tree Hilton that was nearby and my brother wanted a casual place that served drinks and coffee so the receptionist recommended this place. Well they didn't end up serving coffee but quickly offered me non alcoholic options so that I could enjoy a drink as well. They made me a beautiful drink that had orange notes and slightly sweet with pea tea which was exquisite. It was surprisingly empty for a Saturday afternoon because the ambience was great and not something you regularly find here in PR. Reminded me of classier bars that are quite frequent in USA. loved the atmosphere, the service was excellent. Will be returning again because I had a wonderful time with my brother and sister in law.

Fabulous creative drinks, and the food is equally excellent and interesting. Tuna tartare with sriracha ice cream can't be missed!

Kept seeing a bunch of reviews on how amazing this place was and honestly it's up there…read more To start off, I'm not really a sweets guy so my take is going to be a little off from the general public. We were able to snag a reservation but for a late time which was about an hour and a half before close. The service was super great but one thing I wished they mentioned that the bottled water was going to be a $40 charge lol. Makes sense for any upscale restaurant though. Should've mentioned we wanted tap so fair warning, ask cause you WILL get charged haha. We had a group of 10 and for how big the group was, the food came out pretty fast. I don't think we ever had a time between drinks to entrees where we were waiting for food to come out. We got the watermelons mojito for drinks since it was the most raved about. It was good but personally nothing crazy for me. 8/10 score on that. We also curry popcorn chicken, the ahi tuna lollipops, the empanadillas and the goat cheese quesadillas for apps and honestly overall 9/10. This is where I don't like the sweetness part of this meal. The empanadillas were what I was most excited for but it was more sweet then savory which sort of lose my appetite a little. I think if you like that kind of taste then it's going to be good. It wasn't a bad taste at all. Just too sweet for my liking. The curry popcorn chicken was good and the lollipops were great. Again, nothing crazy. The goat cheese quesadillas was good as well but again, too sweet for my liking. Now on to the entree, they didn't have the porkchop since we came late so I ended up getting the porkchop belly dish. When it came out, it looked amazing but then I got a whiff of it and smelled cinnamon. That's when I was sort of disappointed. It was like eating pork but tasting Cinnamon Toast Crunch and as said before, it tasted great but too sweet for me. This one was way too sweet to where it seemed like a dessert item. I just had poor luck and got one of the one items that were sweet. This doesn't tank the rating down whatsoever because I also should've read it had cinnamon. It would've been great if they made a dipping sauce or something to pair it with and not have it on the pork belly itself. I got to try other dishes my friends got which were good as well but I wish I got to try something else. If I came back I would try the sold out item which was the pork shank or the sea bass. I know for a fact the sea bass was amazing. Had a bite of it and thought "I'll come back for that" Overall, 10/10 experience and nothing bad about the place but gotta try different items when I go next time. I understand the hype now

Not only that, she made it weeks in advance because reservations are hard to come by. We arrived for dinner before reservation time and we attempted to open the front door. It was locked, so we along with two other couples, walked to see if there was a side entrance.. Nope! We kept walking to the rear and stopped a random parking lot attendant that shirt had a different restaurant's name on it. He asked us if we had reservations for Santaella and we said yes, and he directed us to a rear entrance. Once inside, my friend realized this was NOT Santaellas but a rooftop restaurant with an entirely different name. Visibly perturbed, she asked our server QUESTIONS! He said, it's the same restaurant, however, only the rooftop is open on Sundays and it's named Azotea.. WHAT?!? LOL! Because we took an Uber, we decided to stay a while. The menu was extremely limited, but we decided to try the Tamarind margaritas, which were really good, along with two appetizers, the tuna lollipops and the pulled pork quesadilla. Both VERY good, but the dinner menu was lacking. That said, I suggested we go to STK for the seafood tower that I had my eye on the evening before, so we exited stage right! Shame on Santaella for accepting reservations through Open Table knowing full well they are not open. I'm giving them two stars because Azotea was decent but it definitely wasn't what she was going for!

Everything we ordered was very good, and on an extremely hot day, I was especially appreciative of how well the A/C was keeping up. I was actually a little cold--and I'm never cold. It felt so nice after getting overheated right before we got there. One thing I noticed while wandering around Old San Juan is that some restaurants likely survive on location and foot traffic alone, while others earn people seeking them out. Semilla definitely felt like the latter. It's tucked just around the corner from some of the busiest pedestrian areas, so it felt like we escaped the crowds for a little while without actually going very far. Overall, I'd happily come back. If you're staying nearby and looking for a good meal without being surrounded by the busiest tourist crowds, Semilla is well worth checking out.

AMBIANCE You're in the city so it's an eventful area. There's street parking and nearby lots but your best to carpool or rideshare. As for the vibes, I'm told in the daytime it's a local marketplace that's filled with vendors and other fresh produce booths. It's pretty chill with a nice neighborhood feel. As for the evening, this is where to turn up and get a pulse of Puerto Rico parties. EXPERIENCE Go to your bar, pick your vibe from community, club excessive, lounge feel, live music or etc. Drink choices rangeThey have it here! Plenty of photo op spots and good energy. I was here peak of the #DTMF era so it was magical to see people come together with a speaker and a cowbell. A local put into perspective how this was way better than paying for an expensive hotel party. It was truly a 1 of 1 experience. TL;DR OVERALL 5 Stars. It doesn't get any better. There's a reason why this space is dropped in lyrics and people's recommendations because this is the heart of the people. So don't be shy! Grab a drink, walk around, catch a dance, and be safe! I guess this was purposefully done as I've heard it's nuts here on Fridays & Saturdays. When you get dropped off at the main road when you walk down it takes you to all the action in a few hundred feet. This place was still packed, but it was popping, the place to be at night I'd guess. They've got all JJ da of restaurants, bars, & clubs here. Tons of music, & a good time.
