But the credit should be mostly to Dr.Mao. At first we tried to make an appointment with Dr.Ta because of the review, but I wasn't able to, so the staff assigned us this young doctor Dr.Mao, but out of expectation, he is very caring, explains thing in details before every single step, very gentle when doing any procedures, extremely patience with elderly. Not only Dr.Mao, but also another Korean doctor who performed the procedure too. Both of them tried everything to fix the dental problems, very patiently. From this positive experience, I made myself an appointment for the very first time too. Due to the previous treatments in other dental office, I continuously having toothache every day, Dr.Mao could immediately stated the problems from just examining and some closer look at the X-ray. He adjusted something out I literally felt better, he said if it's not getting better, he will advise me something else. I like that he wasn't rushing customers to extract the tooth, do root canal, put a crown bla bla bla etc... He gave some genuine advices on how to keep enamel better or so, which other dental office would just suggest you to pay for some fluoride or dental cleaning treatment. He tried everything to fix your problems in the simplest way first before further needs in worst case scenarios! Dental office visiting is always scary, but if you guys want a gentle, friendly environment with good doctor and staff, "925 Dental" is the place!!! Dr.Mao's gentle procedures, front desk and nurses' friendly welcoming and assistances will ease your nervous from the visits, at least a bit =)

I must say bright now Martinez truly surprised me. The front staff ladies were nice and friendly. My dentist Aiman jebrin was AMAZING!! He was very friendly, knowledgeable, gentle and informative..I didn't feel like I had to sell my home or give an arm and a leg to get the proper attention that I need. Most of all they are willing to work with me in order to get my dental needs met. Step by step one thing at a time. I can honestly say I didn't not feel discouraged or embarrassed like all of the other practices made me feel. I know I need a lot of work and I want to get it done and I finally think I found the place to do it!! this means so much to me. I have been searching for so l

They tried to add an upgrade cost to my crown, telling me insurance only covers a metal crown, even though a porcelain crown is covered. Total of $700 in upgrade/non covered charges. I suggest you contact your insurance company and request a copy of dental codes and copays, no matter the dentist. I have had other dentists trying to up charge and add extra non covered items.

THDC knows what they're doing. The dentists have always been courteous and helpful, taking their time to explain every little detail along the way. I can't stress enough how much it means (even for someone who hasn't been traumatized by the cruel grip of a major dental procedure) to have the space where you're receiving care catered to you as a patient instead of whatever is most efficient or preferred by the dentist themself. At Total Health, you can expect to feel valued, supported, and to have the pleasure of interacting with staff who truly love what they do. It makes all the difference!

Plus, I have great dental hygiene so it works great. They are making changes and currently do not have a dentist in the office. I need a new filling and I would have to go to their Oakland office. I really don't want to go all the way to Oakland. I'm going to have to find a new dentist to do the work. If they ever do have a dentist on site I will come back for work that I need done. Otherwise, Ill just be here for cleanings.

It's been 7 years and I still love coming here (well as much as one can love going to a dentist?!)…read more I genuinely do enjoy coming to catch up with Dr. Concepcion, Hazel, and the other staff though! I want to provide an update on what it's like to go to the dentist during pandemic times. I admit I was hesitant to come in but wanted to do at least one cleaning in 2020 so that it didn't feel like I was wasting my insurance. I originally was supposed to come in over the summer but pushed it out to early October when it finally felt a bit safer. Overall, I felt very safe coming in! It was easy and efficient to fill out the COVID disclosure online so you didn't have to deal with any paper forms at the office (except to sign a receipt). I was asked to wait in my car prior to my appointment and they called me when they were ready for me. Upon entering the lobby, I saw little stickers indicating socially safe distances. The arm chairs and magazine corner were removed so people can't linger around. They also installed a large plexiglass barrier at the reception table. The receptionist just had to stick her hand through a small crack to take my contact-free temperature. During my cleaning, I saw that all the instruments were plastic wrapped so I assume they were cleaned and sealed beforehand. I also had to do my annual x-rays and the x-ray machine attachments were also sealed in removable plastic safety covers. They were seeing one patient at a time so I did not run into any other patients while there, just staff. I had to sign a paper receipt for payment. I liked the system of having a cup of clean and dirty pens so there wouldn't be any cross-contamination of touching. There were ample hand sanitizer stations at the reception desk and near each dental chair. All staff were wearing full PPE and patients had to keep masks on until it was time for their procedures. Luckily my delay in getting a cleaning for a few months didn't negatively impact my oral health. If you're scared to come in, I hope this review provided some assurance for you!

After visiting another dental provider, I realized just how unreasonable my experience at Parkway…read moreSmile was. My new dentist was able to complete my porcelain crown for about half the cost, and it was covered by my insurance. At Parkway Smile, I was told my insurance had downgraded my crown to a metal (silver) crown and that I would have to pay a $499 total out-of-pocket upgrade if I wanted porcelain. After getting a second opinion, I learned that wasn't necessary in my case. My porcelain crown was covered by my insurance without having to pay that upgrade fee. Looking back, it felt like the focus was more on getting me to pay out of pocket than helping me complete my treatment. In any case, I trusted their recommendations, only to find out later there was a much more affordable option. If there's one thing I learned, it's to always get a second opinion. It could save you hundreds of dollars and a lot of unnecessary upfront charges from this provider. I would encourage anyone considering treatment here to get a second opinion before agreeing to expensive upgrades or paying out-of-pocket costs.
