I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Robert. He's incredibly gentle and experienced. I had a large filling that came out, and three different doctors advised me that I needed a root canal. However, since I didn't experience any pain, I decided to seek a second opinion. I made an appointment with Dr. Robert through Patricia, the receptionist. Although she may seem a bit rude on the phone, she's a lovely person in person. Dr. Robert informed me that I didn't need a root canal, so I decided to proceed with him. I recently had a dental check-up and cleaning at Dr.Rogers' office and it was a great experience! The receptionist mailed me new patient forms in advance, so check-in was fast and easy, way faster than my last dentist in Walnut Creek that took 1-2 hrs for a full visit. The office has tons of parking around it and is very charming. I had a thorough check-up and got great tips to take care of my teeth. My experience today with Dr. Rogers was nothing short of astonishing. Let me begin by saying how wonderful Patricia was. She is very accommodating. She answered my many questions with great detail and courtesy. This lady is awesome! The office employs multiple HEPA air filtration device. This tells me that they have high standards and care about their patients. Dr. Rogers personally does the x-rays, cleaning and exam. Today is the first time I'd witness ZERO discomfort during cleaning. He is very skillful at what he does. What an amazing experience! Dr. Rogers took extra time to explain his findings. Called Tuesday 2/25/20 phone just rang and rang, no answer. Called later that day, left a message. No call back. Called Thursday 2/27/20 , they answered. I asked if they were accepting new patients, she told me yes. I asked about Medi-Cal insurance, then she told me they were booked up through May. No exceptions, not even for an emergency. Never got a chance to experience the Dentist, the receptionist was extremely rude and did everything in her power to deter me from even making an appointment. She did not care that I needed a dentist, despite my emergency (root canal). Her concern was monetary She continued to say I needed to find someone else irregardless of the need for cleanings, and fillings. So I wished her a good day and hung up, still searching for a HONEST, competent, empathetic, and knowledgeable dentist. Someone should seriously report them... I've been receiving Dr Rodgers care for a handful of years now. I'm always comfortable coming into his practice, without feeling self conscious or embarrassed, and I leave feeling even better with my smile. He is professional and I appreciate his thoroughness and kindness. His office coordinator Patricia has always been pleasant with me in person and over the phone. She has also returned my call very quickly the one time it was missed. I wish I could leave negative stars. This was the worst experience in dentistry Ive had in my 61 years of life. The office is run by a numb skull named Patricia. She will make you give all of your personal info several times for no good or legal reason. This I found extremely invasive. DL, SS, Phones email addresses work info it goes on and on. Then she calls and asks again not remembering she already has the info Twice! They told my friend who has Medi cal he didnt have a valid card number only to give him the run around so he would choose another dentist because they dont want Medi cal customers. What a horrible person. They took long for the numbing process to begin with. When he was about to put the second anesthesia shot, my son was too scared to open his mouth. This is when he lost his temper.  Then he SCREAMED at the patient, (my son). "You BETTER cooperate". who screams at a little kid? To the point he kicked my child out. He was uncomfortable because the numbing process was taking too long, but he was not combative at all. He didn't throw a fit he was just too scared to open his mouth. That doesn't mean you should YELL at him. After that he didn't even try? He just lost it. He immediately got furious. He was verbally aggressive towards the child. Even I was terrified. He showed extremely inappropriate language towards my son. Screamed at my 7 year old child to leave the office (yes my CHILD not even me). "GET OUT". Snatched my son's apron off of him. He kicked HIM out rudely. My son and I left terrified. Not only was this unprofessional, but it became to the point it gave him extreme and emotional distress and fear. I have never experienced anything like this, I'm still in shock. I'm scared this could traumatize my child for future dentist appointments. My son left tearing up. I don't think someone like him should be working with CHILDREN. The only kind person was the receptionist, Patricia. She is always very sweet. read more

OMG the front desk lady "Patricia" was so rude. I explained to her I was a new patient, and would love a routine appt not an emergency. She continued to help me but the entire time of questions to get to the appt she talked to me like I was not worthy of an appt at their office. She questioned me why I was not going somewhere closer to my home. I honestly felt humiliated and treated like I did not rate to their expectations. She then proceeded to give me their list of rules that I need to obey to or I will be rejected. Such a strange vibe and she left me feeling ashamed about my financial status. Sad thing is I havent even met the doctor yet, definitely will not be going..... I cancelled my appt after calling another dentist with a wonderful and welcoming personality, not once asked me the questions that Patricia did or make me feel bad. So weird. Wow, I hadn't been to the dentist in four or five years. I found Dr. Rogers, on yelp and there were some nice things spoken so I decided to give him a try. I walked in and there wasn't anybody in the waiting room I checked in with the receptionist, Patricia, who ended up happening to be Dr. Rogers' right hand lady. She's very sweet and kind. Dr. Rogers, came out himself to come gather me from the waiting room and escorted me back into a room and was also very kind as I am slightly compromised in my ability to ambulate and he was very helpful and understanding. He explained everything in an easily understandable way. He has a nice gentle touch and a very soft demeanor. I was really impressed and I felt so comfortable there, I am very happy with my decision and I would absolutely recommend him if you're considering changing dentists or you've relocated you won't be disappointed. This is one of those golden dentists- where the receptionist is a sweet heart and remembers everything about you, and the dentist always whistles the same little tune... They are honest and super friendly. I've taken a past boyfriend there to replace a crown, and a friend to get a general cleaning. I recommend them to everyone I talk to. I am a new patient with Dr. Rogers, I've been seeing him regularly for the past four months or so. I am someone who has always been hesitant of dentist visits because of my very problematic teeth. I have had dentists who insisted that I get major work done and ultimately treating me like less of a person if I couldn't afford to do the most expensive option they gave me. I have been embarrassed of my teeth and nervous at dentists reactions and the shaming most dentists give to people who cannot afford the top dental work options. Dr. Rogers is the first dentist I have been to where I feel completely comfortable and like I am not being judged. He is not pushy with his work and will give you the options you have (not JUST the most expensive option) and let you make the decision. He is straight forward, not a lot of small talk, straight to business but is kind and patient all the while. His work is fantastic and I haven't had any problems yet. I've had a lot of work done over the last 4 months and he has been nothing shy of wonderful. His office is clean and quiet and I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be taken back to be worked on. Patricia, the receptionist/office manager(?) is the icing on the cake!!! Patricia is absolutely amazing! She is extremely friendly and welcoming, she is helpful beyond belief and will go out of her way to get you an answer or explain something to you. She meticulously watches the charges to my insurance so that I know I am not going over my yearly allotted amount, who does that!?!?! Together, these two make for the best dental experience I've ever had. I would recommend Dr. Rogers to anyone and am so grateful that my friend recommended him to me! read more

My previous DDS was very expensive and wouldnt really explain to me the options or a possible payment plan, etc. Dr Rogers and his associate Patricia have always been very kind and professional. I have been going to Dr. Rogers for some time now. He has done two crowns for me (both from cracked teeth) and he did them both perfectly! He takes his time and is honest amd upfront with the work that needs to be done. One of my previous dentists used to talk a lot (just casual conversation) and expected me to talk back while he was working in my mouth - hard to talk! Dr. Rogers is quiet and doesn't chit chat while he's working, which is nice. However, he takes the time to explain and answer any questions I may have. He spends as much time as you need and is never in a rush. Also, Patricia, who doubles as the front desk person and assists with the procedures as a dental hygenist is fantastic! Always friendly, smiling and helpful, she and Dr. Rogers work as a well oiled machine. Go give Dr. Rogers a try and you will most likely go back! read more

This is a quaint little office. Very clean and Patricia at the front desk is very helpful. Both my husband and I got our cleaning done here and it was great. Dr. Rogers does everything himself. It's taken me awhile to write this, as I usually don't leave bad reviews as I know people have bad days. This, however, has bothered me for a long time. Dr Rogers is a Jeckel and Hyde dentist. I had seen him for several years with no issue. 8 of my family members and friends did too! Patricia is a gem and even shared that she was shocked at his behavior towards me. Saying she had never seen him act like this. I have a very rare condition and it has wreaked havoc in my mouth. Dr Rogers had spent quite a bit of time trying to assist but my teeth are lose and painful. I'm young so I wanted to make sure I am researching all avenues of care and resolution. My pockets are not deep. Saw a specialist and Dr Rogers had a true temper tantrum when I went back to see him. I shared what I had learned and asked if he would be willing to help with the care. He accused me of being "sneaky" and a "liar". When I left speechless, I called Patricia to try and learn what happened and he started yelling in he background for her to hang up on me! I just had a routine cleaning today and it was my first appointment with Dr. Rogers. What a pleasant experience this was. The office is very clean, tidy, and looks up to date with fresh paint and nice furniture. The receptionist was very efficient. I was later greeted by Dr. Rogers with a very pleasant greeting. Dr. Rogers works alone without dental assistants. At first I was a little put off with a lack of staff. Dr. Rogers took my X-rays, performed the exam, cleaned my teeth and explained the results of the appointment and x-rays. Within minutes of sitting in the chair I felt very relaxed. I realized that there was no commotion of other patients coming and going, assistants talking to each other, phones ringing, and drills from other rooms. It was a very quiet, relaxing appointment without all the noise. Dr. Rogers was very pleasant, quiet, and professional. I am definitely going back next year for my next cleaning!!! read more

I'm glad I read the reviews here with open mindedness and filtered the POSITIVE... Whether the negative reviews are valid or not, every person deserves a second chance and not to be judged. I went in for my appointment today with a " MEDI-CAL" insurance. Patricia the front desk was accommodating. I met Dr. Rogers he welcomed me warmly, very kind, spent his time for my dental needs, VERY professional. He was VERY thorough in his exam, detail oriented as to my teeth cleaning, very dedicated to his profession and to his patient. He is very knowledgeable and skillful, he graduated in University of Washington, did oral pathology in Harvard School of Dentistry...with all these accomplishments and how he treated me, he is truly a very fine, humble person. I will forever be grateful to this dentist. Maybe a side note: sometimes how people treat us is just a mirror of how we treat them or our pre conceived judgements on them. If we treat them with utmost respect and without judgements, we get the same respect and welcome. I am just blessed I did not allowed myself to be influenced by the negative comments here and gave it a try to this dental office. I was NOT disappointed. I am very happy that I did, he is GREAT! Honest and very to the point about what you really need and not what they want to sell you. This is a great dentist. I went to another dentist who told me my gum were "shot" and I needed thousands of dollars in treatments. I went to Dr. Rogers as a second opinion and he told me that while my gums were receding a bit. I did not need all that gum work. Needless to say, I switched to him. He is great and very honest etc.. and the receptionist is so nice and helpful. I like they are kind of "old school". read more

I've been going to Dr. Rogers for about a year now but only for preventative care and he's been great in that time. He's a no-nonsense, straight to the point sort of guy who some people may interpret as cold but I view as great in a dentist. I don't mind my general physician asking me about my life as it may help him understand ailments, but teeth are fairly straightforward. He's probably not the gentlest dentist but definitely not rough on the cleaning. I will continue going to him until I have a reason not to! read more

The most thorough dentist I have ever been to. Most move you along the assembly line. Dr. Rogers takes the time and does the job right. Even my kids who were terrified of other dentists like Dr. Rogers. Yes, his cleanings might hurt a little more, but that's because he is getting out all the stuff the other dentists left behind. Dr. Rogers has been my dentist for nine years, as well as my husband's and daughters' (6 & 9 years). I have cold sensitivity, which makes teeth cleaning and any dental work potentially very painful. I think it says a lot that I usually fall asleep while Dr. Rogers works on my teeth! He is VERY conscientious about accommodating my problem, and if I flinch, he stops whatever he is doing to ask what is causing me pain. The very fact that Dr. Rogers does ALL the teeth cleanings himself instead of a dental hygienist speaks volumes to what an amazing doctor he is. His office manager, Patricia, is a petite dynamo who knows EVERY patient by name, as well as your life story! She also assists Dr. Rogers and knows what he wants and needs before he even asks for it. Between the two of them, patients receive friendly, kind, and HONEST treatment - you will not be railroaded into a treatment you do not need! As a dental phobic who dreads EVERY visit to the dentist, Dr. Rodgers and Patricia make it possible for me to actually see the dentist every six months which is nothing short of a miracle! read more
