The steak here is a no brainer, but something I recently had that was absolutely amazing was the chicken sandwich in a mild sauce. As soon as I got it, it looked and smelled so good. The the first bite - and the last one - was out of this world. Perfect ratio of chicken and breading and sauce. The sandwiches are probably slept on. Definitely going to try a cheeseburger next time! But I think our favorite part of our recent visit was our server, Sydney. She was so kind, professional, and just had such a good energy about her. She asked our toddler questions, like what he wanted to order, to drink, and any sauces. And she was patient while our toddler answered. As a parent, that really meant a lot. If you go to Texas Roadhouse, you're in for a good time - but if you get Sydney, you're in for a great time! read more

went with my family for Easter yesterday. I ordered steak and shrimp and asked for my steak to be cooked MEDIUM when the food came out my steak was VERY WELL DONE and very tough and dry. we had to flag our waitress down and she said she would have a new steak made. the second steak was cooked better but it didnt come out until the rest of my family was done eating compeletly. we usually dont have any issues with Texas Roadhouse but this time wasnt great read more

Looked at the menu beforehand because I was going out with someone. We waited aboht 30 minutes before getting seated. I told the waiter I had a gluten and dairy allergy. He got this deer in the headlights look. But overall he was nice. When the food was brought out the kitchen staff said which one of you has the lactose intolerance. First of all there is a difference between lactose and dairy when it comes to allergies or intolerances. I develop a rash and have heart palpitaions if I eat it. I do not appreciate have my allergies downplayed. Food was fine besides being a little bland. And the restroom was out of paper towels read more

For starters we were drug to the furthest corner of the restaurant to be seated! Hooray however, peanuts are back on the dining tables, a bag in a tin bucket per table. I ordered a kabob, came with rice pilaf which is now soaked with BBQ sauce that was a horrible combination. They brought me a baked potato instead of the rice. The meat & veggies of the kabob were fine. I also chose a Caesar Salad which was mostly tough outer leaves. I also chose sautéed apples which have since been replaced with applesauce. Come on you could do better! This is the first time my food was unsatisfactory. I suppose this is the trend just like other chain restaurants. FIRST TIME I HAD A 89.00 bill... and didn't eat...Food was brutal!!! ribs were so burnt. There was no meat on them. Literally singed off... I couldn't stab my fork in them... I mean BURNT!!! We decided to try an online order. Was very leery but so glad we did! We both felt like the portions were somewhat bigger. Our steaks were done just as we ordered. They were hot even when we got home. The rolls (everyone loves the rolls) were also still steaming hot. The convenience of the pick up window was great. You don't even have to go inside. I love steak. Just didn't get it until we were ready to leave. Forgot us for an hour until I asked the waitress where our food was. 15 mins later 2 of our 3 meals came, just not my steak. 20 mins later after everyone had eaten it showed up. Not what it used to be. Ordered 8 oz filets. One of the most expensive steaks on the menu. Ordered medium and it was rare. Server no where to be found. Other servers just walk by and avoid you. Finally got someone's attention and they took the steak to recook and still can't get it right. Everyone in our party was done eating but they wanted to cook a new steak. The inside is your stereo typical Texas Road House complete with local sports decor. No issues there. We've been to this particular location at least once a year for the past three years. It has usually been great, but this last experience wasn't the greatest. The servers seemed to be more interested in flirting with each other than waiting tables. There must have been some drama going on as some were crying and others were snickering at the others. We were seated in a booth next to a booth that was being used as a staging point for all the dirty dishes. That meant a lot of server traffic, clattering of dishes, and a general mess. Eventually the spot was cleaned up and another family seated there. The food was good, the standard Texas Road House food that we enjoy, except our daughter's Mac n' Cheese was undercooked and flavorless. She never complains about a meal, but this one she was really put out by. She wouldn't touch it. The server asked if we would like another one instead, but when we were told that it all comes from the same batch pan, we declined. The manager did remove the charge for that dish which was appreciated. So, maybe we were just there on an off night. But we may not choose to come back next time we are in town. read more

Walked in here to have a meal, what was about to unfold was probably the greatest employment opportunity to ever cross my path. It all started like any other normal roadhouse experience, we were seated in the boisterously loud seating area, directly down a walkway so that people could watch us stuff out faces as if we hadnt eaten in what was perhaps several weeks. We ordered the standard cactus blossom, if you arent aware what that is i would just like you to know, it has nothing to do with cacti. We recieved our appetizer and salads and happily ate them with no complaints, perhaps a salad was a bad choice as it was out of my own personal norm. As we sat there and happily discussed our day together we waited for our entrees to arrive. Little did i know, this was my moment to shine, the interview was in motion. I watched as they set down the steak across from me as my lovely beautiful wife had ordered, it looked great in fact but i wasnt feeling steak this particular evening. I had ordered pulled pork, what i recieved was in fact pork, albeit, not pulled. As i looked across the table in confusion wondering why i had gotten chunks of pork which had not been marinated generously in barbecue sauce i realized that this was not a meal in the slightest. I looked around for the general manager and began to vigorously pull my own pork in hopes that i did not let anybody down in the process. However i was still required to pay for my own food. Hopefully i get a call soon to see if i got the job. UPDATE: I did not recieve a call for the job, to be quite honest, im a little upset. I didnt realize pork pulling was such a strenuous task as ive only pulled my own pork a handful of times. Perhaps i will have better luck with future job opportunities. read more

Honestly, this was the best food I've had, pork sandwich with Delicious bread and the butter is to die for. The only problem I have with the restaurant is the fact that there's a lot of kids that cry all of the time and I mean that's not the restaurants fault but like, it's not nice to experience when you have to listen to baby crying all the time. my rating has nothing to do with our server she was great. Atmosphere was friendly. Last night we ordered our food and had to change it to go order because my husband started not feeling well. We waited for over an hour to get it. when we got home and opened the food everything except the green beans extremely over cooked, chicken critters were awful(I wish you'd go back to the original) just quarter pieces of chicken strips that tasted frozen, dry and some weren't even meat just batter and the steak was so over cooked it was inedible even though it was supposed to be medium well. If the staff is singing and dancing when you walk in- expect a wait- everything stops to accommodate them. We were actually sat in the back corner where staff were eating their meals and rolling silverware. Plenty of seats in the first section and center so it was an odd choice. We asked for no rolls (we are Keto) but she set them down anyway- just a waste- the actual server was nice, fast and ran around like there was a fire- not really listening completely- we had croutons on the salad and bread on plate with the shrimp. Good thing we are not gluten free. It was worth a try, good thing it's not the only steak place in town. Usually Texas Roadhouse doesnt disappoint. Tonight however was different. Typically they have very good food. I also cant argue with unlimited free buns. The place was packed but our food and drinks all came out in a timely manner. Our waitress tonight was super nice, however, we were brought the check long before we were done eating and were never asked if we wanted any desert. I understand the place was busy and there were probably people waiting to be seated but nobody likes feeling rushed. When we ran out of buns we werent offered more. I ordered the herb crusted chicken which on the menu said it was carmelized but when it came out it was black. Still tasted alright so I ate it and didnt complain. read more

9/2/23. Went to this restaurant to celebrate mine and my granddaughters birthday. Did the notify ahead wait app. Got to the restaurant and still had to wait 35 min. Serves were all pleasant and helpful. After placing our orders, there were 6 of us, we waited 40 min.for our food. Everyone was served except my son. Server told him it will just a little bit before his order is ready. 10 min later his food came. My prime rib was luke warm, and my sons chicken fried steak was luke warm. Everyone else said theirs was fine and didn't want us to complain. The music was so loud everyone in the place had to raise the volume of their voices to hear each other. Was a terrible birthday dinner. Never will eat there again. read more

We got there around 45 minutes early, expecting it to not take that long. we ended up waiting and extra 30 minutes over the 45 in the parking lot and when I got my rolls, there was only 5?! Our server was very unprofessional in his demeanor. From the very beginning he chose to "pick on" one particular person in our party. Each time he came to the table he would literally stare down and "jokingly" insult my family member. We all have good senses of humor, however he made us all, especially my family member, extremely uncomfortable. When you're served in a restaurant you expect that the server will not be a creep. Additionally- the entrees were good but the rolls were raw inside. They had not been browned at all. The "Lone Star" is for their food.... Ate there on a Friday night, early to beat the crowd---4:45PM. We were seated in less than 5 min due to the wonderful online reservation app. From there on everything went downhill. The place was noisy, to the point that you had to lean towards the person that you wanted to talk with. The next 3hrs just crawled by.... We ordered the onion appetizer, it was cool when it came, but was cold by the time we got plates and silverware, even though we asked multiple people for assistance. We ordered our food and got it around 6:30, 90 min after ordering---and some of it was cold, potatoes too cold to melt butter. A "Medium" filet came---cool, tough and grey colored throughout---a poorly served "Well Done" at best. Not what I expected for a $22 meal. Done eating at 7:00PM, we asked for the check---it came at 7:30 after our 3rd request. I will NOT be back..... read more

my 12 year old daughter wanted to stop and eat there. We walked in and were told 25-35 minute wait. I said no problem. Then, and this is crazy, they told us to go in the foyer (packed full and freezing cold) or outside (winter in Northern Iowa) or go wait in our car. I politely indicated I'd be waiting in the warm restaurant In which I was about to spend my money. This clearly did not make them happy. After 24 minutes of standing against the wall out of the way, loud and excitable manager asked us again to go out in the cold. I, again, indicated I wouldn't be making my daughter wait in the cold. This angered him and he very loudly said 'YOU CAN'T GO WAIT IN YOUR CAR? IT'S WARM YOU KNO!' To which I politely pointed out I had no intention of do that. He said we could wait but we had to stay out of the way. I'm honestly not exaggerating a thing. My poor 12 year old was embarrassed and uncomfortable. After 45 minutes we got a table. The food was mediocre at best. I'm not piling on out of spite- it really wasn't good. The waitress Yaz, was really good though and very professional. Unfortunately, the day after we ate there was Veteran's Day, and while it was nice that they offered a free meal voucher to Vets (my Dad is 90 and served with the Navy in the Korean War), they ran out of vouchers. After I called and spoke to a nice lady, she sadly offered nothing but an apology. This is really bad business and at a minimum is a deceitful promotion. I will not spend another penny at this restaurant and am encouraging my family and friends to do the same. Fortunately, there are other steakhouses in the Cedar Falls-Waterloo area. read more

I would say that out of the local steak restaurants, this is by far the best one! I frequent here at least once a week. You get unlimited hot rolls, with cinnamon butter as an appetizer. There is also peanuts on the table. A typical dinner includes an entree and two sides, with side options including steak fries, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, or a salad. I would recommend going on a night that is not Friday or Saturday as it is extremely packed on those nights and there is usually a 45 minute wait. With that being said, it is helpful to know that they have call ahead seating. Most entrees average $9-$12 so it is definitely worth the price! Best bang for your buck. read more

Went there on the day before fathers day and called ahead to get a seat and very glad we did that. Only had to wait about 5 minutes to get a seat. As usual the food was outstanding and the waiter named Edward (but goes by Ted) was on top of his game, he was fast, courteous, and professional and earned every cent of his tip. The food oh my was so good, I had the smothered chicken with sautted onions and mushrooms and I will definitely will be ordering that again!!! Love the place!!! read more

We were told it was not done yet, odd Since I'm sure they Are done for the people in the restaurant who probably didn't call to place their order three minutes after you opened. Was then told it wouldn't be done until 4:45. Annoyed but that wasn't too much longer of a wait.
