Great food and laid back atmosphere. We where taken care of after having bad experiences at two different restaurants

The 1880 Grille is in the clubhouse of the Conestoga Golf CLub. Before I went to Mesquite to see the carvings of Little Mount Rushmore et. al., I searched for restaurants. 1880 came up and I bookmarked it. I got dirctions from the Yelp app and was soon at the golf club. The restaurant is quite nice. There is patio dining and great views of the fairway(s). After looking over hte menu, I ordered the chili verde omelette. The omelette has Pork chile verde, pepperjack cheese, sour cream, guacamole, topped with pepperjack cheese and chile verde. The sour cream and guacamole are in small cups so you can use what you want. You have a choice of toast. I got rye toast. Butter for the toast is served separately in small plastic containers for those who want dry toast. The omelette also comes with some hash browns. I was served coffee shortly after I was seated and it was refilled once and I was asked about a second refill. It was a wonderful breakfast and made my drive to Mesquite a tasty place. The Grille gets 5 stars especially for the service. My server, Jessica, was delightful and so pleasant. I'm not in Mesquite often, but I would stop here another time for a meal. read more

Beautiful views, setting and restaurant. The inside was very spacious, clean and loved watching the Olympic Games while there. Our server Marcus, 5*, was very friendly. Food took a long time to get to the table. We ordered fish tacos, very messy and hard to pick up 2*, chicken wings were way over cooked and hard to chew 1*, fries, okay could have been cooked more 3*. We were disappointed as we had heard great things about this restaurant but will give it another try. In the pictures the wings were photogenic but were hard to chew. read more

Excellent food and service! We live 5 minutes away and go often. We take the golf cart over from Roaring Creek in Sun City!

We came here last yr and enjoyed it. So we decided to go again since we are visiting Mesquite. I had the blackened shrimp salad. Very delicious. The dressing is very spicy so I asked for ranch and used both. My husband had the clubhouse sandwich with a side salad. It was delicious. The other night he had a patty melt and enjoyed it. Everything is so fresh and tasty. Our friends had a tuna melt and a side salad. Also instead of fish tacos he changed it to salmon. They were really big and looked delicious Side salad was excellent. Dressing seemed to be made from scratch. Very good! The service was good the night we went with our friends. When we went again just the two of us we waited a while to be acknowledged. The server wasn't very friendly. Guess thats her personality. It's noisy in the restaurant. Great view of the golf course. We highly recommend eating here. read more

Very nice place to eat, home made chicken fried steak and gravy. Ribeye was good but the cooking on a stone was a novelty, ask for an extra plate so that the steak doesn't overcook. The house beer 1880 is a good lager with hints of citrus. Service was very good, and the waiter did a good job of checking on us. If the weather is nice, I recommend eating outside. read more

Sadly, they took our favorite breakfast menu item off- pastrami skillet is no more. So we had a Works omelette, which eventually came out lukewarm, dry, and overcooked. Almost no 'chuck wagon sauce' to rescue it. Hash browns were lukewarm and soggy. The view of the golf course is always nice, and the waitress was attentive, but we were sorely disappointed. We may give it one more try while we're here at our vacation home because it has been our favorite breakfast spot. But we're really bummed. read more

Service was spotty - took them 10 minutes to realize we were at a table. The waitress was very apologetic and took great care of us after. The sampler plate was well done. The wings were jerky wings, the tenders were over done and the potato skins were good. I really enjoyed my side salad. Two of our burgers were very well done and so were the fried and tots. The Conestoga was the favorite dish as the fries were not over done and neither was the burger patty. The pastrami was ok but wished it was thinner. I may give them another try as sometimes places have off days. I understand the importance of food safety but having overdone food was not very enjoyable read more

On our way back home from St. George, we decided to stop at 1880 Grille for brunch. It was still early in the day, so it wasn't busy and they were still serving breakfast. I'm just gonna say this - I don't play golf but I was curious to try this place out. The restaurant is inside the Conestoga Golf Club. Enter the golf club and to your left, you will find the restaurant. We tried to get an outdoor table so I could enjoy the awesome golf course view during my meal, but unfortunately it wasn't open. I have to say, it was a good restaurant to eat at, but it wasn't what I was expected and I kinda felt out of place. I'm in my mid/late 20's and most of the customers here were older people/retired. I had the pancakes (3 count) and my mom had the Hawaiian French toast with bacon on the side. The pancakes filled me up so much that I couldn't finish them (I tried). My mom said that her Hawaiian French toast was delicious. We rarely visit Mesquite but I would still recommend this spot for breakfast/lunch. read more

The food was incredibly average, but it was overpriced. I got the 1880 burger and it's the exact quality you would find at a Disney park but you'll pay more. The restaurant was loud and the service was adequate. And then I paid nine bucks for a slice of carrot cake that was very, very small. I actually drove out of my way to experience this disappointment. Very sad. I suppose the folks playing golf have no other choice so they just come here. I had a choice. It's convenient if you're in the area of Sun City Mesquite or golfing at the Conestoga. Their outdoor patio is beautiful and pleasant on a nice day. Parking is plentiful, the restaurant is clean and tables and chairs were recently upgraded. Food quality & service is hit or miss due to frequent staff turnover. Pricing is a bit high. I.E. expect to pay $20+ for a hamburger & fries. read more

Beautiful location and at first was a bit wary of the menu but that was a rush to judgement. I had the Reuben sandwich, the wife had fish tacos and our son had the blackened shrimp salad. All plates were cleaned. Desserts were excellent as well (chocolate-peanut butter cheesecake and the carrot cake). Would recommend to anyone passing through. If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely the worst service ever! Took 15 mins to get our drinks. When Food came out it was cold and not all food came out at once. I ordered eggs hash browns and toast. My toast came out after I ate my meal. I will never come back. No one even acknowledged how bad the service was! read more

We eat there frequently, since we get a discount it being part of our neighborhood's development zone and golf clubhouse. They have a nice menu that they change fairly often. I frequently have either the patty melt or a Tuna Melt for lunch and they are always tasty and served promptly. The service was attentive and consistent when something was off, they immediately improved it. Staff is great! The 4 dishes tried by our party was fairly good. Very good lunch in Mesquite Nevada. We just drove across the state and this was the best restaurant we had eaten at. Great food, great views, great service, fair prices. I recommend the BLAT and the salmon salad, eating on the back veranda it was a treat. read more

1880 Grille is the restaurant at the Conestoga golf club. Due to Nevada's Governor edict, you must make reservations for dining. The service was welcoming and attentive. Everyone is seated at every other table, and patio seating is available. I ordered the chicken Cordon bleu, and it was delicious. I definitely recommend! There is a full bar with good draft beer options and plenty of T.V's with sports. Great place before or after a round of play. You can either scan the menu to your phone or review the oversized menu at the hostess stand. Currently,menus aren't passed out at your table. Plenty of parking space. read more

Went for lunch with a couple family members. Seated immediately. Given menus and drink order taken right away. Waitress returned with drinks in just a couple minutes and took our food order. Food arrived quickly and was very good. Waitress checked on us a couple times to see if we needed anything. Prices were decent especially considering it's a golf course. We stop in here whenever we are in Mesquite, Nevada for lunch. This golf club restaurant is smoke free and has a great view of the golf course just outside. There are large tvs with sporting events and big tables for groups of golfers, as well as large comfy booths. Attentive srevice from both the hostess and waitress who brought our beverages immediately. A large vat of iced tea and a ginger ale for my honey meant no danger of desert dehydration here. He got his favorite 1880 burger and I enjoyed the "Petite" Asian chicken salad, which is a large portion. We did notice some new items such as Football viewing snacks, and the BLAST (a BLT with Avacado and Swiss). They serve lunch from 11am until 7pm, which makes for very convenient hours while on a road trip! read more
