It's a golf club so at first we weren't sure if we were allowed to go in an eat, but I went in and asked and the employees were all so sweet and welcoming. This was rated as one of the top eateries in Mesquite and I dont agree. The wait staff was awesome, but other than that it's golf coarse food at its worst. We ordered a steak dinner and a fish and chips dinner and both were sub-par meh. The steak was super gristly and the fish tasted like the oil had been around for way too long. Good food, good service. A lot to like about the place after playing 18 on Conestoga , nice underrated course, restaurant matches. One deduction, why Heinz mustard but you can't do Heinz ketchup? Hard to order a burger and fries when you have some dollar store off brand ketchup. read more

I know the restaurant is trying to close up early, but don't give us old food. Ruben sandwich had no saurekrazt and a tad of thousand island dressing. I told a waitress how horrible and dry the sandwich was and she said offered ketchup and mayonnaise for that sandwich, that doesn't make it better! Don't give dried meat. Please serve quality food! The best omelette I've eaten ever. Light. Fluffy. Perfectly gooey. So much ham and cheese. The neatest chipolte sauce. Great perfect toast. Partner had chicken fried steak. Good. Great gravy. My husband and I stopped in for a bite after hoping upon hope that the reviews were even 50% correct. Either the people writing these reviews have no taste buds, or they have no taste buds. We ordered a patty melt and a basic burger, one requested medium rare, one requested medium. Both items came out well done with a crisp coating. We never send food back, ever, but I wanted to actually taste beef in my burger. Again, my burger arrives, WELL DONE. By this time my husband has choked down two or three bites of his patty melt so when our waiter asks if mine is done right, I say no but I have lost my appetite by now. The booth next to us has ordered a steak, and HE sends it back saying it's overdone. So when our waiter comes to clear the plates, I say "we ordered three items and all three were overcooked . And his reply was"I took a discount on your bill". I kidd you not, it was 15%!!!! A whopping $2.25 he took off of our bill for food we couldn't and didn't eat!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS RESTAURANT!! The fact that they don't care whether they get your order right or not is bad enough, but that they then expect you to pay for it is just adding insult to injury. My son, his GF and I met in Mesquite for early voting. I'd promised them breakfast after. I was so relieved to find 1880 Grille underneath all the fast food places rated as "best restaurants in Mesquite". It's the restaurant at the Conestoga Golf Club. It was delicious. I had the breakfast sandwich on brochetta. My son had the breakfast burrito with chorizo. Both looked so good we shared. His Sweetie had the fruit plate. It was fresh, ripe and tasty. The service was friendly and prompt. We sat outside and enjoyed the great view of the golf course. We can't wait to meet up there again, with our clubs. We discovered a gem in Mesquite! read more

Had breakfast here, I love my breakfast burritos, and have become a bit of a connoisseur. The balance of the potatoes to cheese egg and chorizo was perfect! My wife had the Hawaiian French toast and she loved it, perfect balance of sweetness. The views of the gold purse in the morning were relaxing. This place welcomed our group of 6 and it was a fun experience for us. We were able to sit at a round table which helped our group sharing and conversation. The drinks were especially good. Several of us in our group tried margaritas, and other mixed drinks and they did not disappoint. Stopped here on a driving trip. A little way off the freeway but we were able to order breakfast still for one kid and lunch for the rest of us. All was really flavorful and good size helpings. This is actually in the Conestoga Golf Club Clubhouse. We were there for lunch, did not golf here. The Grill is very open with comfortable seating and large wall to wall windows for viewing of the golf course and mountains. The food was cooked to order and delicious. I ordered the 1880 burger and they did not hesitate to substitute the fries with a nice crisp salad. My husband had the clam chowder and ham sandwich, which he thoroughly enjoyed. A remote spot in Mesquite, Nevada, amongst the quaint golf courses and scattered resorts. My lady and I made the short trip from St. George, Utah, to check out this place after seeing it recommended from quite a few online sites. To start, I ordered an old fashioned, hoping for a familiar, cool cocktail to combat the heat. Unfortunately, it was very sweet. Wasn't too strong either. Next up was the 1880 lager, which tasted almost like a pilsner if I recall. Refreshing, albeit very light, almost like a commercial beer. Their fish tacos and fries is where this place shines. Soooo good. Perfect combination of fried batter, along with delicious cabbage and mango, made this my favourite dish. Their fries were on point as well - nicely made, and with just the right amount of seasoning. Our server was quite pleasant as well! Great customer service. I would come back to try their burgers and maybe a stronger drink, should I happen to be driving along the 15 fwy. read more

I went with my family for a dinner. They were super busy, and my grandmother had called earlier in the day to make a reservation, she was told it was confirmed. When we arrived they did not have our reservation. However we were able to get seated if we went outside. We went outside, which was very on the golf course. We ordered and they were out of regular french fries. Also our food took a very long time to be brought to our table. The philly cheesesteak did not have a lot of seasoning, the shrimp stir fry was very spicy, and the chicken cordon bleu sandwich was a bit dry. Came to what looked like a pristine golf course and we came in and were seated immediately. I had the breakfast burrito and he had the pancakes. Both meals came out within about 15-20 minutes. We came on a Tuesday morning and there were maybe 2 other people eating there. This place is a STEAL for weekday breakfast. My large and filling meal was $8.00! Would recommend this place to anyone but ALSO if you're trying to stay on a budget. I did not notice any unusual smells as some other reviewer did. The buffet was not an option during the weekday but I honestly tire of hot dish buffet meals. Sometimes, all you want is meat, potatoes, and eggs and a tortilla. We had a 40 person reservation, which 1880 grille did a buffet for. It exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious with many options from shrimp pasta, grilled chicken, rice pilaf, seasoned vegetables, salad, and cheese burgers, to chicken tenders and fries for the kids.
