The view is the draw. You look over the lovely golf course. This area of Nevada is stunning. Food wise, no complaints. The four of us had a variety. A cobb salad, fine, fresh, good grilled chicken. Burger. Fine. Cheesesteak, not the best I've ever had but nothing to complain about. And a waffle (for lunch!). All in all the food is fine. Service was a little slow but they seemed understaffed. They were out of the Crispy Chicken sandwich which I wanted so I ordered the pull pork which wasn't bad but wasn't great either. Then I noticed a hair in my wine!!!! Came through for brunch and left full and grateful. We sat out on the terrace, overlooking the golf course -- and the view? Clean. Calm. One of those setups that makes the food hit a little harder. Ordered the chilaquiles, breaded chicken steak with over-easy eggs, and French toast. Chilaquiles were flavorful, but felt like it needed one more layer -- maybe crema or queso to finish it off. The breaded chicken steak was the MVP. Perfect crisp, seasoned right, and the eggs on top brought it together. French toast came through too -- soft inside, golden edges, no complaints. Restrooms were decent -- handled and clean. The staff? Top tier. Helpful, quick, and all around just good people. You can feel when a team actually cares -- and this one did. Even in the quiet summer months, (when we were the only ones there eating) at 3:00 PM, the service was excellent and the food great. First time there, went at other people's positive recommendations. I got the Reuben sandwich with coleslaw on the side, my husband got the New York Steak sandwich with sweet potato fries, which were very good. He loved his sandwich. I enjoyed mine very much. Luis, our waiter was attentive and friendly, and even brought us a breakfast menu when we asked to see one so we can come back sometime to enjoy breakfast! (By the way, when we come, I'm definitely gonna try the chorizo breakfast sandwich. ) we did not opt for any extra drinks other than water, which Luis kept filled. First time eating here and I'll say the atmosphere is inviting. Our server, AnyssA deserves . She was extremely pleasant, professional, and helpful. Cocktails are well poured but dinner did not stand up to everything else! Out of 4 dinners only two were good. Both salmon and our dinners said they would come back and eat it again. Now mine on the other hand was not good at all. I ordered a half rack of pork ribs and they were cold, overcooked and dry. My rice and veggies were both cold. My friend ordered chicken and her whole dinner was cold also. Both of us were very disappointed. I must say AnyssA our server took care of the check taking both cold meals off. She was just great! Despite the dinner, we had a great time and would definitely give them another chance. The view of the golf course is fantastic and the restaurant is worth checking out. read more

Unexpectedly Wonderful Lunch at The Terrace at Wolf Creek Stopped in for lunch at The Terrace at Wolf Creek and was pleasantly surprised by how great everything was! The setting overlooks the beautiful golf course -- peaceful, open, and the perfect spot to relax midday. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and a buffalo chicken salad, both fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The portions were generous without feeling heavy. My handcrafted margarita was the perfect touch -- balanced, crisp, and clearly made with care. Service was friendly and attentive, and the overall experience felt far above what you'd expect for a golf course restaurant. BBQ, salt and vinegar, etc. You think the wth....and you respond with.." rather regular fries it comes with" and she says with a sigh and the hand on hip.."it comes with chips" ( and because you were born/raised british..you thinking she is having you on..) so you flip open the menu whilst you asked her when was the last time she read the menu...and point to fish and chips and read it aloud to she still gives you that...well questioning look like ur fibbing, again wth..then you ask for cocktail sauce...and she replies they don't have any...and you say..do you have ketchup..yep(now she's being a sassy twat) and do you have that sauce for your prime rib??? After the most frustrating round of golf that I have played in my entire life, this was a nice way to end it. We got seated right next to the window so I could reflect on the course that kicked my butt. Fortunately, it got better from there. Their homemade Bloody Mary's are excellent with just the right amount of horseradish. The beer battered onion rings, Reuben sandwich and BLT sandwich were also very good. We had to make reservations but on arrival not sure why. The dinning room was only half occupied. Maybe they were short on help. Very plane, empty atmosphere even if the room was full. Not sure why that is appealing to some. Food was, so so. Very expensive for the experience but it is a golf course with a nice view if you get the right window seat. We we not impressesd and likely will not return. There is another high end eatery in the Casa Blanca, Katherine's, which is a favorite. We are 0-3 (0 for 3) at the better one at the Eureca, Gregory's. We likely wont return there either unless there is an operating change. Mesquite is growing. Maybe a new fine joint is on the horizon. read more

Today's flight was from Henderson to Mesquite with a stop for lunch before the return flight. They offer a shuttle in a golf cart and will bring you down from the airport and back up when you're done. It's only about 5 minutes, and the airport office has cards for 10% off your meal also. We arrived right around the breakfast lunch transitioned so were offered both menu options. I went for the Denver omelette which was delicious and full of vegetables and tasty ham. The potatoes were ok - a little less crispy and cooked then I usually prefer. The sourdough toast was crunchy and yummy. The service was very friendly and attentive. They were also checking in to make sure you had what you needed. Paying the check was quick and then a short ride back to the aircraft. Overall a great choice for a meal when you land at Mesquite! read more

I stopped at the Terrace Restaurant at Wolf Creek for a quick bite before hitting the links. The Hostess was friendly and asked if I wanted a table or booth. I chose a table with a view of the course, and I noticed she was sitting everyone at every other table for social distancing , which was appreciated. I ordered a Poblano cheesesteak with fries and it didn't disappoint. The flavor was on point and the meat was tender. The waitress was quick to offer refills and made sure I had everything I needed. The turkey avocado wrap was stuffed with honey smoked turkey and cheddar cheese. The cole slaw was creamy and sweet. The southwestern salad had a lot of chunks of mesquite chicken. My annual guys golf trip to Mesquite usually includes playing Wolf Creek. We always play twice in one day so we're kind of forced to eat at the course restaurant. Let me say that that's not a bad thing. The staff are always super friendly and considering that they cater to a lot of large groups (my group consists of 20), the food comes out pretty fast. On this visit, I had the mushroom swiss burger. The patty was cooked to temperature and juicy, the cheese was perfectly melted and they piled on the mushrooms. I don't know if I was just starving but at the time, that was one of the best burgers I've had. I've had good and bad meals at golf clubs, this is a good one. read more

My girlfriend and I were in Mesquite for the afternoon, decided to find some lunch, so I headed for the golf course. My girlfriend said, "No, not that place again, remember last time you took me there, the food was awful." I replied, "Well, I don't know anyplace else, and we're already here," So I made her go in again anyway. Mistake! They sat us near the front of the restraint, brought us two menus, a couple waters, then for the next 20 minutes we watched waitresses chat in the corner, wipe down a few tables, sit at a table and fill out paperwork, wonder around the room, chat to each other again by the kitchen door, rearrange tables, sit down, stand up, Finally one waitress headed our way, but then turned, went to the front counter, sat another couple one table away from us, and proceeded to take their order. Wow. We came out to Mesquite from the SF Bay Area to play 4 days of golf. First time here. The expectations on dining options were low given that we are from the SF Bay Area food mecca and also not staying near the Strip for this particular trip. Lucky we were referred to the Terrace Restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Maria was our server and customer service can never be underrated-- she was outstanding! The perfect level of helpful in her food suggestions and also not overly in our face (too many visits to our table) but always within eye shot to fill our drinks when they were running low. Ask for Maria's section if you get a chance. Food was cooked to perfection. Three of us had filet mignon and one had the prime rib. The dinner salad that accompanies the meal was not the typical 3 pieces of iceberg lettuce with two cherry tomatoes; nope this was a nice good size mixed green salad. Two of us had the soup of the day that was really fresh and enjoyable. All of us thought our meat was grilled to perfection and very tender and flavorful. The accompaniments were also superb - a medley of roasted veggies with either rice pilaf or mashed potatoes. This would have been a $75/pp entree back home. Great value. We saved room for dessert and shared the s'mores molten cake. Fantastic twist to a chocolate lava cake. It had a much lighter outer cake, gooey chocolate core and warm roasted marshmallow on top. We had the absolute pleasure to eat Thanksgiving dinner at the Terrace Restaurant at Wolf Creek. It was set up as a buffet, and all the tables had linen tablecloths and napkins. The staff were so friendly, kind and warm. The service was impeccable, and the turkey dinner was so wonderful and delicious, that we could not believe it. The most tasty turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, gravy, rolls, etc. etc. I think I have ever eaten. Eat on the terrace to get an absolutely gorgeous view of a couple of the golf course holes, even better during sunset! The food was good but as most restaurants these days... service was slow. I enjoy the atmosphere here as well as their food. I've had lunch and dinner a couple of times. The service is attentive and friendly, the food is very good, but I really like the views. The other places I've been to eat in Mesquite do not have any scenic views. To go for a nice dinner in Mesquite this is your only option unless you want to go eat in a dark cave at one of the casinos. Unfortunately dinner is only served on Fri and Sat. Their salads are made with good greens, not iceberg. Steak and fish are good, as they should be. But what stands out are the sides they serve. The veggies and starch actually add to your meal not just blah food to fill the plate. I've had meals that come with mashed potato and zucchini also rice pilaf and broccolini. All are very tasty. Lunch has a side option of a jicama slaw which is excellent. Desserts are fine. read more

What an amazing experience. We were in Mesquite and scrambling to find some decent food. Hard to do in this town for some reason. Found this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised but not only the food but the service as well. My hubby and I ended up ordering off the early bird special menu and were so glad we did. He had the bbq ribs that were so tender they basically fell off the bone. The sauce was delicious. I ordered the chicken Marsala and it was as good as my own. That's hard to do !! James, the F&B manager was extremely gracious and we enjoyed talking to him at the end of our meal.
