One of our favorite spots to grab a drink and listen to live music especially on warm summer nights. Mostly outdoor venue with lounge chairs and picnic table seating, lights strung around and an outdoor stage. Very fun. Fun spot in Denison. Drinks are good and cold. They have a nice line up of bands. Servers were attentive and nice despite them being super busy! Didn't try the bbq food truck but, it smelled amazing! I always forget they have the food truck there. Maybe next time. read more

The girl bartenders were not so friendly! I ordered the mistake drink which did not look so appealing-it did not look like the advertisement on Instagram. The drink was basically pineapple juice, such a disappointment considering the cost. The overall ambiance is cool to hang out at but the spot lacked the consistency of the bartending! read more

Great place to hangout with Great Food and Great cocktails. Mauricio is a master mixologist! I had the Pizza and my wife had the salmon cakes. Both Gourmet and delicious. The patrons and the owner are a hoot as well. Lots of fun! read more

A great outdoor seating venue (there is indoor seating, just quite limited). Reminded me of a lot of my favorite Hill Country venues, with a down to earth and down home welcoming. We had the Lee Lee's Berry Smash (a great balance of Berry, Citrus and Adult mixer... aka alcohol), Kelly's Back (A spicey but nicey- featuring fresh Jalapeño, so not for the faint of tongue!), Painkiller (not the famous version featured at a chain kitchen scratch place, but it's certainly a good one!) and Bloody Mary (not pictured). The food featured is from Knife & Whisk, a local catering company in town, they have an on-site catering wagon on the premises. (Separate review to follow because they DO in fact deserve their own glowing review as well!) We enjoyed the small charcuterie board, bruschetta, the Doc Holliday and Salmon Benedict- we couldn't finish it all between the 3 of us- so much 'yum'! The Pros- makes you feel like you are in a different place altogether, like a road trip adventure- without the hours on the road, non-stop bathroom stops, gas prices etc- it's right here in your backyard basically. The Cons- I can't even really call it a true con, but more of a heads up. The Knife & Whisk is separate than the 1880 Icehouse, so you will have 2 separate tabs. Not a big deal- but thought it was worth mentioning. read more

Great little place just south of Main St. There's ample outdoor seating with a handful of tables indoors under the open garage doors. Cornhole games and live music are a staple, as well. They have lots of seating outside. They have cornhole games and the waitress told us they have live music in the evenings. We were too early for the live music. But we had a few beers and some food from the restaurant that's in the same area called Knife and Whisk. I had a Manhattan Project Half-Life and from the Knife and Whisk I had a chicken sandwich. I took a trip to far North Texas and came upon this little gem. I hate that I forgot her name but the bartender whipped me up the best spicy yet hint of sweet drink that made me happy after a day of work and brief spell of looking for cool rocks. It's mainly a bar. With outside seating as well. Pricey drinks, unless you get beer. $14.00 for a fancy drink that was probably six ounces!! They have a food truck parked on the property. It's not open all the time. We had salads with turkey and stuffed mushrooms. The menu was not that extensive. read more

I'll start with the good- outdoor space is awesome. Bartenders are great. The food truck they have at the moment is not impressive. The $22 charcuterie board they have looks like a giant Lunchable. It's a no. What's really concerning is the weird smell the WHOLE place had inside. It's enough to make you want to leave. It's a true mix of sewage, cheap apple spice air freshener, and assorted candle smells trying to cover it up. It's bad. I avoid going into the restrooms because they smell so bad and are sometimes dirty. They really need to actually do something about it instead of trying to cover the smell up. read more

The best thing about this place is that is has a great vibe and the waitstaff is really nice; however, the everything else is mediocre at best and fraud at worst. The food is okay, not great. What really irked me was the beer list. Everyone has different pricing for domestic and imported beers, but they are selling Shiner as an imported beer! In fact, most of the "imported" beer list is all domestic. Very few of his so called imported beers are actually imported (3 of them are made right in this state!) and they're charging $1 more as "imported". I don't object to them charging whatever you want in your business, but at least make your lie believable or be honest about it. They don't even make the lie a good one. No Texan is gonna be fooled calling Shiner beers imported. The owner is a practicing attorney and I won't do business with him for anything after seeing this blatant dishonesty. read more

Great place to view Super Bowl 56! We stopped here on our way back to Houston from Springfield MO. Excellent bbq. The 903 Bock is tasty

Great place but a bit pricey for Dension Tx, but if you're gonna splurge make sure and eat the knife and wisk food truck!!

Nice Austin style beer garden. Drinks are priced at a premium, but cool atmosphere makes for an enjoyable experience.

Very few beers and no food. Last time we were the only ones there and the wait staff said they didn't even know why they were open.

This place is a good time and my favorite place to grab a decent cocktail in Denison. Plenty of outdoor seating with fire pits and cornhole. Live music every weekend. If you're hungry, recommend you try out Knife and Whisk, the food truck on the property. read more

The 1880 Ice House was a very cool place. The bartender and waitress were super nice and accommodating. My husband ordered a panini sandwich, very over priced at $15, for what he received. I ordered a Tito's and cranberry juice, it was pricey at $9. Most restaurants charge any where between $4-$6 for the same drink. We were disappointed in the cost of lunch. read more

On my first visit, 30 minutes went by before a waitress asked for my order. My second visit was in a group of 12, we pretty much had to get up and find someone when we wanted anything. My third visit I waited 45 minutes for someone to notice me. On another occasion I went to the counter so I could pay my $8 tab since no one came around. She took my $20 and asked if I wanted my change. I tip good, usually really good for good service, although this was flat out rude to me for her to expect a 250% tip, especially since she hadn't even waited on me. read more
