This place has live music weekly and a big patio (with heaters). All of that is the awesome part. The music was five times louder than it should have been - there were less than 20 people there but they had it loud enough for a concert venue. It was impossible to have a conversation without screaming, literally. Then the patty melts came out. The food was just disappointing as a whole. But the two of us at the table that ordered a patty melt won a prize you don't want to win. The burger patty was half the size at a McDonald's patty. It was thinner than the regular white bread (not Texas toast, mind you). This comes from a guy who commonly searches menus to find a burger that isn't a massive double meat monstrosity. So, for me to be SHOCKED by what I just paid $9 for says a lot. When I asked if it is always this way, the server apologized and explained that the meat was a shipping mistake and that "they were just trying to use up the meat". He then offered us 1/2 off the patty melts (which I never received). So, it's a mixed bag here at Kickbacks. Fun for drinks and loud music. Not so fun if you're with buddies that you'd like to talk with or if you want to eat. read more

We gave them 2 tries, but unfortunately the staff simply doesn't execute most of the basics - we really wanted to enjoy this place. For packaged beer (bottle/can) and hanging out among your own group - it'll do, but be prepared to be assertive and demand what you want, otherwise you will go unserved read more

We have only been here a few times, but so far it has been good! Drinks are fairly priced and food came out in a timely manner! Pizza was quite good! Keep in mind it is bar food and not a 5 star restaurant but no complaints here. Bartender was quite outgoing and was playing the room and talking to everyone even the tables. Only thing I don't love is being served my drink in a plastic cup when sitting at the bar and they're not super busy. Serve my drinks in a glass or beer in a chilled mug you'd be a five star joint for me. read more

Was refused service here last night. Courtney (bar manager) refused to serve me because she said I had called TABC on her for an incident that occurred on July 27th. She served the two other people that came with me and THEN said she wasn't serving me. I never called TABC. As a matter of fact, on July 27th a woman brought her daughter in for her 15th birthday. The woman was "seeing" Courtney's brother. Courtney's brother was giving the 15 year old shots of alcohol and cocktails. The 15 year old ended up vomiting. I went inside to let Courtney know what was going on and that the 15 year olds mom kept disappearing. Courtney said "I don't know what you're talking about. I didn't see it." I told her that I was letting her know because the child needed to be protected but I was also trying to protect Courtney and the bar.. Courtney was offended for whatever reason so I just walked away and had to babysit this girl the rest of the night to make sure she was ok. I never called TABC but I should have reported it to someone apparently. Courtney shouldn't be behind the bar at any establishment. We all called her out last night for being wasted as usual while bartending. I love kickbacks but sooner or later it's going to be shut down if there isn't some changes made. read more

The food was mid and the entire experience was depressing. My group came as a party of 7, and we were the only customers in the entire restaurant. First, the waiter spilled a drink on me and my friend, didn't offer us napkins or anything. The food took over an hour to come out (we were still the only ones there the entire time, and the entire staff was present). The waiter barely came to check on us, didn't refill our drinks but once, mistook my order from a completely different meal. The food that came out late was raw. Overall the staff has no excuse since they were all there and we were the only customers. It was just sad and aggravating. read more

Walked in and main dining area. Nobody acknowledged us except another customer. They told us we had to seat ourselves. We saw one waitress on her phone and bartender was talking to a couple of people at bar. 2 waitresses walked by and never acknowledged us. After no service, we left. Won't be back. Food and ambience were great, highly recommend both! However, the food took about 40 minutes to get delivered and we were the only ones in the place at that point. We were told flavored margaritas were a $1 up charge but when we got the tickets, we were charged a $3 up charge for each one. read more

My family and I have gone to Kickback's a few times now for lunch. The atmosphere is fun, the quality of the burgers are great & the French fries are out of this world! we've always had excellent service. This may be our new "go-to" place because it's so close. Looking forward to checking it out later so we can enjoy the live music read more
